probably one reason why Be3 in the opening is inaccurate is that usually White like to answer f5 with f4, but with Be3 this would lose a tempo after exf4 at some point, also Be3 runs into f4 ideas if White plays f3 Setup
Yeah because I have another factor that outrules the others... ageeing! I have unfortunately started to play 'oldmanchess' - which is too passive. So to force myself to 'stay active' I play openings that requires that! I hope it is only temporary... Because I feel more at home in QGD or Spanish....
@@GMTalks I understand. And those openings still give you good structures for your style even if they require to be more dynamic. Hope you will find your sharpness back (maybe lack of chess practice/study is much more important than "agreeing" here because you still play great chess :D). Thank you for the great content! :)
Any tips for improvement? I am currently 1245 rating, but I have noticed my elo has stayed the same for about a week or two now. I know some opening theory mainly E4 E5 but other than that not much else.

Yeah - it seems like my moveorder permits this but it is not good... - seems i got a nice position straight out of the opening.

We are working on a small course (free) especially for that - but plateauing for a week is not enough to cause panic :)
