American press and media never respected A-ha, as A-ha didn't surrender to them. They'd rather made their own way through the tours, and they had become known all around the world by themselves, playing live. Morten, Mags and Paul, also because of it we love you sooo much! You're really authentic!
Lucyinthesky I couldn’t agree more! a~ha holds the Guinness Book of World Records record for largest attendance at a concert. 198,000 people watched them perform at a stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1991. Did the music world congratulate them? Nope! I watched an interview with Mags. He talked about the disappointment of such a significant world record being largely ignored by the music media (Rolling Stone). I’m sure it’s on RUclips somewhere. In the U.S, they’re dismissed as an 80’s one-hit-wonder boy band. That’s fine. They are respected throughout the rest of the world for their significant catalog of music spanning 40 plus years.
I cringe sometimes listening a few interviews & reporters ask questions- You can tell they do not understand the artist or the group's music. Happy Birthday, Morten!❤🎂❤
if u just hear morten's voice no one wud believe hes 50 plus. Way to go. I lived the era u guys played. I still have the cassette and offcourse the mp3s now. You will live in my heart and im sure many other's till we leave this planet earth
I still chill to A-ha "Take on me" & remembered the riff when I first heard Pitbull & Christina Aguilera's track "feel this moment". Great sample for this generations teens to party to along with their parents and grandparents.
It’s a shame that this “interviewer” doesn’t know who is the man he is interviewing. Like Mags, Morten and Paul once said on a interview in 1990 (can’t remember well if it was 1990 or 1991), but the three of them were so disappointed that people only relates them with the song “Take on me”. Well that’s not the only song they have written. Paul is an excellent songwriter, and who did most of the lyrics of the songs of the band in those 40 years. And yet, people don’t give him the appreciation he truly deserves. Most of the people only sees them (a-ha) like a “teen boy band”. And from what I’ve seen, Morten is kinda annoyed that people only look at him by how he looks. The three of them have made a contribution to music. And people gave them at least “thanks”? No. So yeah, I admire Morten here for behaving so nicely and respectful despite the fact that people don’t recognize them as an artists.
he knows Morten perfectly otherwise he wouldn't even have come to him to question him because he wouldn't have known who he was. He would look for another celebrity. But the guy is jealous. He is 29 years old and is less charismatic and sexy than Morten who is 50 years old. He's angry. He insists on pretending not to know his first name. He coughs on purpose when he talks about the 90s. He insists on the fact that this group is old and he deliberately gets the name of the group wrong. Morten has always aroused jealousy among guys. I remember at the colleague the guys hated this singer and this group because the girls were crazy about them And the guys couldn't go out with the prettiest girls because they were looking for boys who looked like the members of the group A-HA
Mark.......I felt a sense of embarrassment on behalf of the interviewer!!! But Morten is so humble and graceful :) Now I'm going to have to check out Nahko Bear
@@buckeyeguy71 Indeed, but if this market is closed because of bad weather, there is no point in 'Crying in the rain' so hold that 'Train of thought', because in 'The Swing of the Things', there is point in 'Hunting High and Low' because if we look across the 'Manhattan Skyline' there will be another Horton Market! 😉😂
nigelcarren You, my friend, just created the new ad campaign for Horton Market! (New locations at “East of the Sun, West of the Moon Plaza, and “Foot of the Mountain Mall!) 😜👍

@@lilalakehal2334да, зависть страшный порок..Тоже думаю, что этот интервьюер "оговорился" намеренно...(((.
Not knowing the person's name that you're going to interview is already a huge unprofessional mistake!

Shame not to know this man s name !
Not knowing Morten Harket for someone who wants to interwiew him and demented but then while asking questions it touches him embarrassing
how is this guy an interviewer. He doesnt know his name, he calls the group a ha ha, then he doesn't even know the name of THAT song as he calls it.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕
Легендарная группа a-ha
The Interviewer is like every bad stereotype about Americans in one person
Based on this video, is very clear the interviewer had an extremely short career!!
Interviewer sounds like a-ha sang one song. They are still playing!!! Isn't Morten recording new stuff now?
Nine years later, and a new album coming soon, apparently. A-ha released their eleventh album last fall.
Chocante! De onde saem tantos entrevistadores tapados que nem esse Zé...? Alguém me diga.
The interviewer is too jealouse
Well at least he didn't call him Horton Market!!! Trust me... that place is terrible... all knock-off's.
nigelcarren I would TOTALLY shop at Horton Market! Especially if all they play is a~ha over the store’s loudspeakers. 😜👍
