I was swimming once off the coast of AU and one of these things swam up to me and at first, I had no clue what it was. From a distance, I thought it was a shark, then I saw its tail and noticed it was a dolphin of some type. It was super friendly to me and let me pet it. It then proceeded to swim around me for about 25 mins and it seemed playful. That was the last time I'd seen one in person but I have nothing but good things to say about them blokes.
I wish i was as brave as a white man
@@turbeauxcorbeaux5048 Don't say that :(
No human type is better than another :c

Blacks don't swim
I love these animals. I live in Florida and we have local populations of false killer whales. Its reassuring to see them while you are at the beach or in the water because they scare the fuck out of even the large aggressive shark species. The same is true for bottlenose dolphins but the false killer whales seem to be more aggressive so its even better. They are like bodyguards even if they never come close to you.
Dolphins and Sharks are natural enemies, sharks are scared of them because a pod of dolphins can easily kill a shark
Same is true for actual killer whales. No sharks gonna come anywhere close
Can we get a better name for this besides false killer whale? I feel like they deserve it
They're also known as false orcas, though pitch orcas or oil dolphins sounds better imo. I especially love the hybrids they make. Absolutely gorgeous 😍
We say pseudorca in the scientific circles sometimes
Why am I just learning about these now
Came here from the Joe Rogen experience
Me too😂
27 and didn’t know these were a thing
I’m 39 n seriously just learning n HEARD OF THESE TODAY JULY 11 2022
Love your videos!!!
It's a dolphin without a snout..
Yep. A characteristic feature of subfamily Globicephalinae (translating to round-headed, as you can probably guess). Also includes Pilot whales, Pygmy killer whales, Melon-headed whales, and Risso’s dolphin.
@@-guloluscus-3876 thank you for the info much appreciated
@@mikeb9522 No problem.
@@-guloluscus-3876 YES PILOT WHALES AREN’T PORPOISES
Great video! The only thing is that the Location Map needs updating :)
False killer whale. Possibly, but it's very small. They usually around 5' / 6' feet long when they are born. It could be a hybrid with a dolphin
A species that arrived out of nowhere!
Dope video
Perhaps the mass beaching events are something to do with sonar from submarines of something?
Its the sounds from propellers underwater, and A LOT OF underwater industry. The noise is not regulated... heres a link to help you understand ruclips.net/user/shortsXulX1N8tZ3k?feature=share
thats a blue whale, but you could imagine if a fleet of whales were swimming in an area and then suddenly couldn't hear... then blindly and terrifyingly beached themselves.
joe r. sent me here
I remember a time i was playing as a frog fish and this thing dragged me to the deep
Please tell us more
deeeep is for nerds

False killer whales 🐋 are my favorite whales 🐋

When I come across something like this I can’t help but think it’s proof of the dimensional fraction’s. Like bitch please I would have found this by now with my fucked up search history how is this video 4 years old.

And sharks ….😂
Why not just call it a False Orca
Calves nurse their mothers?
Saying “nurse their mothers” is the same as saying “nurse from their mothers”, it’s a funny term.
Joe Rogan
Basically, African-American dolphins
