I was swimming once off the coast of AU and one of these things swam up to me and at first, I had no clue what it was. From a distance, I thought it was a shark, then I saw its tail and noticed it was a dolphin of some type. It was super friendly to me and let me pet it. It then proceeded to swim around me for about 25 mins and it seemed playful. That was the last time I'd seen one in person but I have nothing but good things to say about them blokes.

I love these animals. I live in Florida and we have local populations of false killer whales. Its reassuring to see them while you are at the beach or in the water because they scare the fuck out of even the large aggressive shark species. The same is true for bottlenose dolphins but the false killer whales seem to be more aggressive so its even better. They are like bodyguards even if they never come close to you.

Dolphins and Sharks are natural enemies, sharks are scared of them because a pod of dolphins can easily kill a shark

They're also known as false orcas, though pitch orcas or oil dolphins sounds better imo. I especially love the hybrids they make. Absolutely gorgeous 😍

False killer whale. Possibly, but it's very small. They usually around 5' / 6' feet long when they are born. It could be a hybrid with a dolphin

thats a blue whale, but you could imagine if a fleet of whales were swimming in an area and then suddenly couldn't hear... then blindly and terrifyingly beached themselves.
