    The screw subtraction is wrong. However the nut and the screw can not have both subtracted helix. The nut shall have the helix outside so you can put the nut around it.

      You should choose the Realistic visual style whenever you apply material.
      Even if you have problems you can right click-options-display-colours-change from black to white.
