What year is your boat and length? Did you learn to be a mechanic before you got the boat? Did you have to convert to and freshwater-antifreeze system.
Hello my friend sorry I just found your comment. My beauty is a 33 feet express cruiser Sea Ray from 1994 straight shaft. I’m at Self thought Mechanic, but I am a general contractor on electrical and plumbing field so that kind of helps plus once you get the books for the engines it teach you how to do everything, as long as you have a firm hand you should have no problems 😄 and when I bought the boat eventually I had to replace both engines because they were raw water cooled so when I did the swap, I went ahead and installed the freshwater kits on them, what went bad on my old engines was internal pin holes because of the corrosion from the saltwater. Are you planning on doing a build?
Hello. A really well documented video and explanation! Question: When my tech installed the half system on my 8.2L did he need to change the gasket on the manifold and risers? I'm not sure ifbhe did that. Does it matter and will it affect the engine? Thanks!
Thank you for watching my friend! well if you went from a raw water setup to a half system you should be good and the gaskets would be the same. The only reason you would have to change that gasket is if you are adding a spacer to make the system higher or going to a full freshwater cooling kit
Just found this. What a great video and brilliantly explained.👌
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@Cruisingthesouth Hello. The coolant for the system is your typical regular coolant or a special type of coolant?
