The crowd of people of all ages and sorts hiking the mountain distracts almost from the beauty of autumn foliage. Could they recharge not only while praying but walking? I wonder. Carrying heavy like you with the gear , people with all sorts of weakness but also the small feet of kindergarten children or the mother carrying a baby and watch over her toddler is rewarded with the reach of the peak. The end was a surprise. ☺️

What a lovely, glorious day. I love the sunlight, the chirping of the birds, the muddled chatter of the climbers, and of course the beautiful autumn color. Mt. Takao is easily one of my favorite in Japan. I have fond memories from our previous climbs. I hope I can visit again soon.
You got a fantastic setup. I still believe the stabilization of Olympus camera is unmatched in any system.

Wow beautiful! It is already winter here in NY! It must be nice to have a real fall! I am impressed with the elderly who walked up the mountain!. There are hardly any American elderly that can do that unless they are athletes or former athletes!!

In winter it's much quieter, and on a clear January / February day the views down across Tokyo and of Fuji are just stunning. But the paths back down through the woods can be a bit treacherous.
For anybody visiting the Tokyo area, invest a day of your time going to Mt Takao. There's even more to see there than is shown in this video, I won't say too much, go explore for yourself.
