Absolutely! I wish I had bought some of these sooner as the models I reviewed had the high power option removed. To think that these are cheaper than a takeaway pizza is insane value for money. We've had a lot of fun with them. Even the lithium battery packs are worth a purchase as they make the radios really lightweight. Let hope Floureon continue to make more great value PMR!
Great review. Got a pair off eBay in blue because of this review. Using it just for fun with my daughter at the park etc. Great fun and great price, perfect to take out minds off the lockdown.
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the FC200's, they are such amazing value for money aren't they? They are as good as some other PMR radios costing three times the amount of money and I've used quite a few over the years. Bargain :)
Got some of these radios a while back. Stuck in some rechargeable AAs from Ikea and they are recharged using the USB socket on the side, super handy. One thing worth noting is the "Hi" power mode which transmits at 1W, twice the legal limit in the UK I've found that there is an assortment of CTCSS/DCS settings pre-applied to all the channels out of the box, a slightly annoying flaw is the torch/lamp which can be activated while the radio is off and also locked, I keep draining the batteries while its in the bottom of a bag.
Joshua, fully agree. They are great little radios for what they are. The models I reviewed do not have the high power option, the ones that were manufactured after 2019 have had the option removed in the firmware to make them fully compliant to the PMR-446 specification as 1 watt of power isn't allowed, only the 0.5 watt setting. You are also correct about the annoying torch/lamp feature that even works when the radio is switched off! Not sure why they did it that way but hey, overall a great low cost unit!
Great video. Thanks for the review. Noticed a micro USB port on the radio, can you charge your cbl1000 batteries in the radio or do you have to keep taking them out? Thanks. Wayne
I did wonder about this myself but couldn't find a definitive answer. If I charge the CBL1000's separately from the unit using the micro USB port on the batteries they charge from flat in about 2 hours and the LED indicators change to green when complete. I did try to charge them in the units and nothing seems to happen. The charge indicator comes on the LCD screen but hours later nothing changes. There is no light on the battery pack so I think we can assume that it doesn't work. The built in charge port is for normal AA rechargeable batteries unless anyone knows otherwise?
@@Transmission1 just a quick update for you. I managed to charge the cbl1000 battery pack using the micro usb port on side of the radio using a different cable other than the one supplied with the cbl. Just thought I'd share that info with you. Cheers for now. Wayne
Awesome radio's to be fair can't beat them for the price. I opened mine up and put some tape under the lamp button so when it's pressed the light don't come on.
Yep, you can't really fault them for the money. The only annoying thing is the LED lamp button as you mentioned. If you have the older version you can even set to high power... sadly mine don't have that option
Good to know about the battery packs I've got a pair of orange ones with hi power great 446 radios for the price I've liked and subscribed lol .73 John 26TM013
Thanks John, appreciate the comment. I think the orange is the best colour. If you've got the "Hi" power version of these radios then keep hold of them as the new ones are limited to standard PMR 446 power levels after the manufacture realised their mistake ha ha! 73 Simon
According to the keypad lock function, does it also lock the volume knob/switch so the radio becomes 'pocket safe' and unable to turn the volume down when carrying the radio in your pockets?
It says in the instruction manual that I need to press menu until I see PR, to make it higher power.. But I am not seeing pr.. Am I doing something wrong?
You have the later version like I have.the pr power option has been taken out of the software to comply with ofcom legality. Power should not be changeable and is set to 0.5w bit of a bummer I know I was expecting mine to have pr option but NO. if you find a way of changing software through button presses by turning off radio and holding down certain buttons in a certain sequence let us know.
I bought a set of PMR radios FOR the lockdown, now using them for general chatting on 446!
Mine are the black ones with the 1watt high power I disconnected the led permanently as I was sick of the light constantly switching on.
Great little radios. I picked up 8 of these back in 2018 and they are simply amazing for the money.

Can you review a pair of those LEXEN 25 Watt walkie talkie radio?
Great video I'm just getting into PMR. Something to do on lockdown.
Thanks! Hopefully you will be able to take your PMR radios on an adventure once lockdown is over and we're all allowed to travel a bit further!
Thanks for this review , just ordered a pair look good for the price.
Just got some off eBay for about 12 quid, had my doubts that they'd be much use but worth a punt. Thanks for great demonstration 😎👍
Fantastic little rigs. I paid £8.50 a pair. Interesting 1W high power option...
Good video mate

My Car does twice the legal limit.......So should it be illegal? I wonder how many puritanical Hams never go over Thirty in a thirty zone.
I disconnected the torch feature .
@@michaelloughlin734 seems like a good idea.
I can't seem to get the high power on there is no pr whe. I press menu.. Can you explain how to do it please?
after looking at this great video i think i will order a pack great looking radios
How do you use a ear piece and mic with this device. Should it be just plug and play or do you have to change the settings?
Many thanks
I'm hoping if i out in rechargeable AA batteries it will show a charge indicator and also let you know when fully charged.
The charging indicator doesn't stop.
@@wisteela I know, I just give it a few hours top up so as not to overcharge and so far so good.

Did you buy them? I think they are great for the cheap cost!
@@Transmission1 Yes, I since bought a green pair. They work great. I just need to find out what tones and codes the settings correspond to.
I put a hole through top of belt clip so I could attach a carrying strap.
Great idea, thanks for the tip!
this is a really good review this should have more like really
does anyone know how to reset one of these? i have a pair but one isn’t displaying the numbers correctly on the screen and i can’t make them link.

Does VOX work without headset? Which headset is compatible?
Yes VOX can be enabled without a headset plugged in! It has three levels of sensitivity too. Seems to work ok. I've not tried any headsets yet.
How do you talk mate
