Considering that the Captain of the Ishimura was a Unitologist and it was confirmed that he did not see the necromorph situation as a problem, I'm pretty sure an EAS sent by him would send the opposite message.
Could be sent by someone acting in the Captain's name rather it actually being the Captain

This is one of my all time favorite eas scenarios
I proposed this idea to a friend of mine, he's making a superhero story for our amusement, and it has a space arc. Our super-powered characters are gonna find this ship and the alerts in the format of ship logs.
