I love this so much! I’ve always thought a capsule wardrobe gets boring quickly, but in fact it’s a great way to style a certain item so many ways and to get dressed very easily in the morning! And it’s also a wonderful way of being mindful and sustainable about clothing and shopping. I have a navy travel skirt which I now know I will wear a lot this spring and summer!❤
I like all the outfits you put together. I have a grey silk slip skirt and try to wear it more often. But as it is shiny , it be looks too fancy for day to day casual wear. Also I have difficulty to wear silk skirt with tennis shoes. It seems other people look fine in that combination, but not on me. I cannot help but to pair it with delicate shoes. The skirt ends up hanging in the closet most of the time as I don’t have too many places or occasion to wear it. I agree with another comment that if the material is more casual, it would be more versatile. But I haven’t found slip skirt like that. You look great in all the looks. I think I might have to work through my mental barrier to get there.
Thanks for your comment! I love the idea of pairing something like a grey silk slip skirt with a relaxed sweater and pair or chic trainers or ballet flats. But it's more important to love how YOU feel in your clothes. I like many of the looks your achieved here. My concern is that the solid black silk bias cut skirt reads, to my eye, as lingerie or what we once called a half-slip, a garment to be worn under a dress or skirt. It could pass as evening wear but needs a lining, as it looks thin. It's not a fabric I would mix with sneakers. If you found a midi skirt in a garbardine or mid-weight matte jersey, it would have more versatility to dress up or down. Or a fabric with a print would read less as lingerie. Just my opinion. Good silhouettes though! 👍
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Liana. I love the silk midi but I can see how for some it feels more like lingerie. It's a good suggestion to look for a heavier fabric midi skirt if you feel that way.

Thank you. I have 2 midi skirts from Athleta hanging unworn in my closet; I bought them to try something new…styling has proved elusive.

I tried on this style of skirt at Marshals and did not buy it because I did not know how to style it. I now have regrets.🥴
Oh no Beverly! Luckily you can find them pretty easily right now.
Apart from that good
Superx
Iif people could just look down on there feet unless young
Deffo trainers horrendous on anyone in dress or skirt unless size 10or12and tall
Totally better with softer shoe sandal loafer but can't stand trainers only for sport sorry even a light weight style shoe thanks f video good
Knowing what you're style is and what you love and don't is helpful when creating looks.
