  • After having so many followers on my Tumblr page (Zomey) asking about my hair and how I do it, I just decided to make a short tutorial video on how I put up my Mohawk. Sorry if it's laggy, my laptop sucks. And if anyone is curious, it's about 13" max height. Enjoy.

    Im the only girl in my school with a mohawk (I'll be a badass senior this coming year) and I had oober long blonde curly hair that everyone adored and told me a should never cut. I didn't until my junior year in a fit of rebellion and shaved the sides of my head, chopping most of my hair off in the process. Needless to say no one recognized me. By the end of the year everyone loved my new hair and I started a trend. A bunch of silly boys thought they could be cool too and tried to shave their heads into tiny Mohawks. But they'll never be as cool as us feminine 'hawked gals ;)
    Love, love LOVED the video :D my two favorite bands as well.

      I'm also female, and the only kid in school with a mohawk. I used to have a sort of Robert Smith-ish hairstyle, although with my own little twist... I got my mohawk a few weeks ago now, and I absolutely love it. Sure, people comment, but as you said. It's a fucking bad-ass hairstyle, and I won't change for anyone. When I was younger, I also had long and luscious hair, and then I basically just chopped it all off. People were horrified, but I loved it. And still do. So. Much.

    Found it.:) Gonna have to attempt this. Usually just fluff mine up... But it seems sacrilegious to have this cut, and never even attempt to put it up.:)

      The_Melon I think everyone can pull off a Mohawk. I hated my long redish girly hair for so long and in the end, shaving my head and putting it up was the only way I liked how I looked. It also distracts me from any flaws on my face or body structure that I don't like and makes me feel less self conscious. Idk, I think Mohawks are universally awesome.

    this is wicked! my friends got jealous of my blonde mohawk because all i had to do was run my hands up and it'd stick straight up. my old art teacher was impressed as well (he's a rad dude). that's just my hair type though. it naturally sticks up lol. i'm going to send them this video.

    Love it! Two questions: How many cans of hairspray does your 'do take per month, and also does it take forever to detangle and wash out all the hairspray in the shower?

    • @aliensprobedmycow
      @aliensprobedmycow  9 лет назад +6

      emilythequeer I think I go through a can of Got 2b about every 4 put ups (though I often leave a Mohawk up for upwards of a week in a row). And taking it out is usually me running a hot bath with conditioner saturated in the water, soaking my hawk until it's free and I pour conditioner in it, rub it in gently and use a comb to gently detangle it with the flow of the water so it doesn't break or damage hairs :-) Doesn't take too long and it's nice cuz I get to take a hot bath.

    I've got hair all the way to the top my bum. It's not shaved to a Mohawk so I guess it's more of a "fauxhawk" question. You think this would work to get my hair up or is there a "too tall /long"

    Unrelated question, i got snake bites a week ago, and i have a feeling they are infected but not too bad, ive been trying all the advice i got and nothing seems to work.. I clean them six times a day to be safe, but how can they heal properly like yours look like they did?

    • @aliensprobedmycow
      @aliensprobedmycow  9 лет назад +2

      Dakota Varela Make sure you're wearing loose and slightly over-sized medical grade steel rings during healing. brush and floss as well as use mouthwash after every meal. Don't use hydrogen peroxide on them, it's pretty harsh and can cause more irritation. swish with warm salt water a couple times a day and fill a shot glass with the salt water and press your closed mouth into it and soak the piercings for about 10 minutes while watching TV or something each day. use triple antibiotic ointment on Q-tips around the piercings after you clean them. And just try not to mess with them too much. I'm sorry you're having a hard time with them, but lip piercings suck bad.

    how often do you put up my Mohawk? Do you find your hair getting dry because of the way you do your hair? i'm just asking because i have questions! I think you are awesome! =)

    • @aliensprobedmycow
      @aliensprobedmycow  10 лет назад +1

      I put my hair up every other day, and when it's up, I'll sometimes keep it up for a couple days at a time without taking it down. When I take it down, I just run semi-warm shower water over it until it turns back into a gel, then I POUR conditioner all over it and gently comb it out from bottom to top. Sometimes I even put conditioner in it, cover my head in a shower cap and sleep with it in and wash it out in the morning.That way I don't damage my hair or lose more than normal. My hair is actually quite soft and healthy for how much it goes through. it's all about how you take care of it.

    I'm thinking about getting a Mohawk about the same width as yours but longer and I wanna tease it as the main hairstyle I'd have it in, but I was wondering, how do you untease it while making sure to reduce tons of hair from being pulled out? (Sorry if this is a obvious question, I'm an extreme noob when it comes to doing shit with hair and this would be my first hair style, so any tips and advise would be most appreciated. Lol.)

    hey Ive had my Mohawk for a Long time and using a comb or brush to tease is perfect I Orleans tease my hair but using you brush after is not because it breaks up your hair and makes all those little gaps
