I was a big John Stewart fan for years. I’ll never forget how he covered critical race theory (completely positive) and he, along with his ideological guests, publicly smeared another guest that he’d invited under false pretenses (Andrew Sullivan). It was the most horrific episode he’s ever produced and it completely changed my opinion of him. He has some talents but he’s also unfair and clearly cherry picks. He is not a reliable source for forming opinions about current news and events. Unfortunately lots of people put their faith in him.
He's been a shill for big-government leftism for decades. He does a good job shilling, but he's still a shill for some of the worst policies.
I came here to basically say the same thing. He is one of those that perpetuated lying in the media and fake news, but NOW he wants integrity? Fuck him.

Jimmy Dore's a big-government progressive who's constantly surprised at how that big government he loves is not bring the utopia he's SURE we will have, if we'd just sign our lives over to the federal government. of course, he doesn't see it that way. He thinks the government should take care of everybody AND respect our rights. It doesn't work that way. If you give up your responsibilities to the government, then government will take authority over your life.
I think you summed it up well at the end: MSN's objective is to persuade people to believe what they want them to believe, not to inform them of the truth. As a person who sees through it, it brings up anger in me, not only for all the lying for the purpose of controling, but also for the sheer stupidity that it fosters in people. It is making people not only less informed but also dumber in the same way that watching an absurd soap opera makes you dumber, because it doesn't make sense, thereby atrophying the "logical brain curcuits" in the viewer. It also makes people less competant to navigate their lives and relationships and more miserable in general.
Everything is different now...they've learned their lesson😳😂😂😂😂😂😂

The owners of FoxNews, since Rupert Murdoch stepped down, are Leftists who'd rather make FoxNews a Left-bias cable news network like MSNBC, CNN or ABC. However, they'd lose viewers just as CNN, MSNBC have, and was forced to layoff staff due to a drop in revenue. It should be obvious; if you're a network that lies, people will stop watching.

Those channels have received epic amounts of negative media attn. The whole point here is that even someone as left leaning as Jon is, he still has been able to recognize the overwhelming bias msnbc and cnn push. If you still can't see that same bias, you are what's called hyper partisan.
