I'm sure I've shown many times in videos how to darken a color with a black to create a dark green, blue, or some other deeper shade, but it's hard for me to find a video about it now, because it's quite a short step in makeup, so I definitely don't have dedicated video with this topic, but when it comes to darkening (e.g. the outer corner), maybe try this one - the part with daily smokey (I use a darker brown there, but the principle is the same):

This shape of elongated eye make-up is also great for close-set eyes. I have the holy trifecta of deep set, hooded, and close-set eyes and this is my go to. A thing I do sometimes, when I feel like straight up black is too harsh, is I lay down a sheer base of brown pencil and then go with black on top.
Very good method! In general, instead of black, you can use an extremely dark brown (I think I even have at least one of them in my collection), but the way you do it, you definitely have more control over the intensity of the "darkening"
A little tip from me for you if you have close-set eyes - the bright inner corner is your friend - no matter if it's matte beige or highlighter, it's worth not skipping this step if you want to optically move your eyes away from your nose ;)

I have deep - set eyes 😢Not hooded , not hollowed out. Luckily are very big, with almond and upturned shape. But I can't do a lot of things... Very inconspicuous movable eyelid, eyelid fixed exactly the opposite
I will just say this: there is no eye or eyelid shape that cannot be worked with ;)
I had to discover everything on my own, because there was always little advice for hooded eyes and the ones that were available never worked for me. Even now I don't see many solutions for hooded eyes and most of them are still "old school".
It's hard for me to imagine your eye shape from your description alone, but I am convinced (from experience) that the problem is smaller than you think and there will always be a solution or modification that will match a different type of makeup to your eye
