The military deducted his salary. Poor Army get less pay and took out money from uncle Sam. My other cousin joined about the same time after college. He was placed with gas transportation unit and my nephew who graduated from med school was sent to Iraq with recon unit. We're from South/East Asia and immigrated to US in early 80's.

I need to lose ton of weight I am 5'8 and I weigh 114 currently working out again. Should I see a recruiter or wait till I lose more pounds? Joining the Army is my dream and I desperately want to move out of my parents house..any advice would be great.
UI Shaggy you a male or female because if you’re a male that height and weight isn’t in the norm. You should stay there or more. If you’re a female then I think that’s fine. If you’re already 18 make your own life decision and take charge. Many people leave home and join the military for that reason, but don’t sever the bond between family because some miss the feeling when they leave. They’re a good support system when you need it. If you can push without them that’s your choice. Strive for a better YOU. You will still be treated like a child in the military that’s how it just is. Stand tall accept criticism and just roll the dirt of your shoulder. Good luck
