For getting stress vs strain graph of a tensile test for a composite material, what properties are needed to perform simulation of failure? Plz help if you know anything, I am getting 0-2 (elastic region) point as you mentioned in the graph but want to find 2-3(plastic region) points in the graph

you have any idea on finding poisson's ratio from ansys?

that value has to be given as material property

@@ProfSDBagg ya but i need it as a output. Because some cellular structures posses poisson's ratio which is different from material poisson's ratio. I need to find out structure poisson's ratio.

It is brittle material. Give properties the same way and you will obtain the curve

hello Roy, i am from Bangladesh a civil engineering final semester student. In my entire engineering school life i ve never heard about ansys until last month. I really want to learn how all these analysis FEM dynamic and statics are done. Please help me to learn from your channel starting a basic project. So that i can apply on practical problems to solve. I am also thinking to work on construction materials for personal research paper. That will help me a lot.

I have provided ANSYS basics on my channel. Please check the playlist of ANSYS Workbench. It will give a fair idea.
