Same here hubby and I go curb surfing not for scrap but for things we can repurpose and sell. Or we find things to donate at this 1 thrift store and they give us a 20% off coupon for anything in the store. Right now my hubby is finishing painting up a 4 drawer dresser and a small cabinet, we'll be putting it in a local online auction. Paul I have 1 of those metal folding gate the blue 1 you threw away mine has a Christmas theme. I think they are to put near a fireplace. You could have likely got $25 or so for it online. Anything like that usually sells FYI. Thanks for sharing Have a great picking day :).

I haven't been out scrapping. My Dad sprained his ankle Saturday and he is on crutches. We usually scrap together.God has been so great to us!! We have had people in our small town bring scrap to our house!! How awesome is that?

Check your pipe Paul, I think those 6 pieces you picked up were aluminum vent pipe for things like dryers or vent fans. Does not weigh much but could have been added to an aluminum load.

You should definitely check out the E.Z. dump bed for your truck or idk where you are located from me but my buddy has a few lift gates for 1/4 ton pickups that definitely would save your back in the long run. The ones he has are all battery power and bolt straight up with no major modifications.
Paul , there is another scrapper in town that drives a dark green S10 like yours sometimes with a small trailer. Not sure if he scraps or if hes a reseller. He usually hits the north end apartments in the Knolls on Wednesday an last week of month daily.
Nice surprise you have. Be careful scrapping in thunderstorm. I was struck by lightning as a child, not fun. Also, I see you drive a stick, have you had to chase your truck? I didn't put my emergency brake on and my car rolled right out if my driveway and blocked the street, I learned real quick. Lol

I watch srcapping vids from several different youtubers. What I find interesting are the differences. For instance how carefully you load your truck compared to others.

I can't blame you keeping the heavy metal shelving for the shop, they ain't cheap, and why buy when you can scrap haha.

I didn't put my emergency brake on and my car rolled right out if my driveway and blocked the street, I learned real quick. Lol
It has happened once. It was a flat straight but once I started to push something into the back of my truck, it started to move
I wish people around me were throwing out some of the metal shelves you find. I'd love a few for my garage!

I watch srcapping vids from several different youtubers. What I find interesting are the differences. For instance how carefully you load your truck compared to others.
Congrats on the new shop bud, as they say always onwards and upwards, and you sure are, the huge rusty spanner/wrench would make a nice wall art piece for your shop if it doesn't sell bud. I can't blame you keeping the heavy metal shelving for the shop, they ain't cheap, and why buy when you can scrap haha.

Man, you need a new battery in your smoke alarm, my Yorkie hates that chipping sound & had to finish watching this video with no sound! Till you left the storage unit. LOL
It was driving me crazy too. But with a 15 foot ceilings, my ladder didn't reach the smoke detector. I don't think the landlord would appreciate me bashing it off the ceiling LOL
