Some of his best performances and movies were made in the 90s, 'A River Runs Through It' / 'Legends of the Fall' / 'Thelma and Louise' / 'True Romance' etc etc
Brad Pitt is an amazing actor an amazing person I saw on television where he pulled a young girl over the fence because she's being squashed he held her in his arms I've never known anyone with his statue to do something like that he's a real humanitarian good luck thanks Brad and I love you movies
@@victorsamsung2921 People also love to erase that he hit his son, but since it was one of the sons that weren’t white they gave Pitt a pass on it. Some people just don’t understand that someone being beautiful doesn’t mean they don’t have issues tied to their personality. He also said it himself, that he hadn’t been sober one day since high school (alcohol or pot). He did mention not too long ago he started to deal with his alcoholism though, so I’ll give him that (considering how many decades he was actively binge drinking).
@@soilgrasswaterair Very true. I remember reading the "hitting" part etc. Of course, the fake news media loves to ignore that, as they have been doing for at least the past 10 years regarding race, religion and ethnicity. Also, yes, just because Brad has supposedly 'beautiful eyes' and a gentle voice, does *not* equal lack of issues, either on the inside or outside. I mean, the above interview was only taken 2 years or so after you could visibly see he was *stoned* during the 1994 premiere of _"Interview With The Vampire"_ ft. Tom Cruise. Not to forget, the documented history of Alcoholism of course, as you just share. Hence, the reason why that I rather look down on these actors ... and make sure their egos don't get too big. For it won't do any of us a favor, if things do get way into their head. Just look at Harvey Weinstein and his exposé.
Well he is just from Missouri he knows he's a beautiful blonde and is confident but not to the point he makes others feel insecure otherwise they would call him arrogant even if he's not. Always seems rather soft spoken if he flexed his looks as though he were Tyler Durden people would hate him.
Brad always says " Accents isn't my strong point " in interviews, If I met into brad pitt in Ireland, didn't ever know he was an actor and he spoke in an Irish accent , I tell you all now that I would genuinely think he was 100% Irish, He is the one an only actor on earth that can do the Irish accent to a T
Well I think with him some things come easy and he's just modest about it. It's interesting there is no trace of his own native accent from Missouri either his brother still has his so maybe he has been controlling his tone for a long time anyway.
There were so much negative news during those days about Pitt dissing Harrison Ford and the whole movie during those days, unhappy that his screen time was reduced due to Ford joining the movie etc ... I wonder who made up all those rumors because obviously Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford got a long very well even after the movie, he was invited when Harrison got a lifetime achievement award ... and here he's talking admiringly about Harrison too ... glad to know they have a respectful friendly relationship after all ...
When you see negative press about an actor during pre-production of a film, it's actually released by their own managers as a way to control the actor. Dave Chappelle mentioned this as his reason for his disappearance when he quit Chapelle Show.
He sounds like he's playing the part of Joe Black in this interview.. but it's actually 7 Years in Tibet Brad at the time of the interview.. And Devil's Own Brad was made a year prior to this interview... Then Joe Black Brad came along a few more years later...... Brad is a time warper.
kasuki1000 ganja & losing his train of thought for a moment/ trying to remember the question. : ) this & Harrison's interview on "The Devil's Own" here, are reminiscent of The Doors interviews... the tempo and gentleness of response, at least.. perhaps it's in part due to how Ford worked on the film crew during the Feast of Friends' shooting, and his influence that is apparent on Pitt throughout this filming period. Brad famously noted, the best pot he'd ever had was Harrison Ford's.
If the critics father is from Sligo in the Republic of Ireland, what would he know about the Northern Irish accent that Brad Pitt does in the Devils Own?
That doesn't make sense to what I said, yes both Cork and Dublin accents are different but they are both Irish accents just as a Belfast accent is one of many Irish accents.
Im from dublin meself man. I just assumed the critic said he knew the northy accent from listening to his dad speak but i guess he must have been to ireland a few times and stayed a few summers for him to have a good ear for the Belfast accent
The question about knowing when it was "clicking" and "coming together", this film never ever came together. I was brad's stand-in and the entire film was a disaster, I felt bad for Brad, it wasnt' his fault, this was not the movie he signed on to. He's nice about it, it was all politics.
I'm 48 now so I guess I was 28 when I saw it...it worked for me ...clannad soundtrack boat chase scene but THAT said I was in retrospect garbled and emascaleted...but solid work by ford and Pitt nevertheless
The Devils Own is a good drama-thriller but it is unquestionably biased to the Republican/IRA side Being from Northern Ireland gives one a different perspective
The interviewers dad is from sligo which is in the republic of ireland brads accent is cookstown which is in the north of ireland his accent was utter shite
I assume it boils down to a lack of education on the subject tbh. Plus some idealised notion of a glorious struggle from a supposedly oppressed people. But in reality the I.R.A are just common thugs, drug dealers and murders, they terrorise their own people just as much as their alleged enemy, a terrorist is a terrorist no matter what the excuse they use to condone their actions, the I.R.A are no different from Isis or al Qaeda.
Well that's a poor assumption, some Americans support the cause since about 20 million Americans are of irish decent, the I.R.A were fighting for freedom so don't even put them in the same sentence as ISIS or Al Qaeda.
You're a sick person you apparently know absolutely nothing about the Irish accent and you're absolutely extremely jealous because he is extremely hot and you're ugly I know he did a perfect job on the Irish accent I have Irish in me too
MJJ/ Star,music,entertainment/714195829 Irish in you 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂unless you’re from NI you can’t sound like a native speaker, his accent is not a Belfast accent at all
🤦🏻♂️ it's a Northern Irish Accent! Completely different to the diddley-aye Irish accent that everyone across the pond seems to think they all share. Some pronounciations are a bit "mehh" but that's more the directors fault for potentially not havin a dialect coach close to hand. A few mates from Ulster are from different parts of the Belfast area and beyond. And NONE of them sound alike. Even one lad from Carrickfergus doesn't sound identical to the lad from Dunmurry. Hardly a world apart but enough to have a different way of talking
The guys a legend ,personally his downfall was marrying Angelina Jolie, clear to see she held a torch for Billy "Bob" Thornton, beauty and the beast syndrome 🤔🤔🤔
This man in his prime was absolutely perfection. There's not one ugly feature in that mans face. Gorgeous.
He is absolute perfection now rather than that time. He also won an Oscar.
@donkey face jordan Donkey couldn't possibly know the value of a gem.
dicaprio also very handsome
I'm surprised Brad didn't ask to delete the first few seconds of this video with the hair stylist picking at his hair. That was pretty embarrassing.

He had some great early work for sure...but Benjamin Button Inglorious Bastards, Moneyball, Fury, Allied, Once Upon a Time...amazing performances.
Brad Pitt would like to speak to the manager.
He was great in this film. Brad Pitt is underrated nowadays.
I think he prepared for two roles in that time. Hair as Harrer in "Seven years in Tibet", speaking as Joe Black in " Meet Joe Black")
Nailed it!! :P so so true!

Good question. I would think that -- particularly at time this movie was made, maybe less so now -- most Americans view the IRA as underdogs.
