It brings a gigantic smile to my face to see this again 😀 Rothers stage movements and stances are proper Chris de Garmo esque here, he's got the whole heavy rock thing down to a tee in this 🤘🤘
E pensar que nao fui com sua cara qdo vi isso e bastou Easter para ficar vidrado em você,Mr.Hogarth. Obrigado por todos esses anos maravilhosos com Marillion e sua companhia.
I'll never understand why Marillion put this tune out as their first 'Hogarth era' song. Don't get me wrong, it's a perfectly decent rocker. But I can imagine the hardcore existing fanbase immediately taking against 'h' based on this tune. And yet 'The Release' didn't make the album and was relegated to b-side status.. THAT wonderful tune should have been the first single, uplifting and melodic and so very Marillion-y! (imho, anyway)...
I think it was actually a ‘brave’, self conscious deliberate decision to move away from the Fish era and say “Hey! We’re back - but different than before…” Personally I love both eras but smartly Seasons End shares very little DNA with Clutching At Straws. H’s voice and songwriting gives them a Pop Rock cadence and an AOR shine they would never have had if they’d continued with Fish. They go back and embrace their past later on.
3 minutes of Pop Rock perfection!
Along with "Assassing", "Hooks in You" is one of the greatest hard rock songs the group has made 😎🤟😎🤟😎

Dancing like crazy!!!

The second I first heard this track back in the day, I knew that Marillion was- essentially- over and done with being a seriously great band.
