I have to disagree with you. Marilyn Monroe and the other bombshells of that era were classic pin-up beauties, but that was not the only form of conventional beauty at the time. If you look at high fashion photography from the 1950's, most of the models didn't look very different from Audrey; dark hair, high cheekbones, long necks, long limbs and slenderness were the preceding qualities. Many of the more conservative types at the time even considered Marilyn's beauty "obvious" or vulgar. Just as people today argue over whether Scarlett Johansson is more beautiful than Keira Knightley, people then argued over whether the hypersexual, womanly bombshell was better than the elegant, elf-like waif. The only qualities Audrey possessed which could be described as "unconventional" where her exceptional thinness, flat chest, and large-nostriled nose.

Audrey's beauty didn't come from sexiness or sensuality like many of the actresses from her time (Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, etc) but was her innocent, natural beauty. Her big doe eyes lent her such a beautiful, innocent, childlike beauty. Gorgeous in a classy and elegant way.

You can almost see all the stories and tragedies in Marilyn's eyes and smile. She smiles but the mystery is her vulnerability where you see the tragedy.

I disagree with much of the descriptions of Audrey's appearance. I see her as a classic beauty and don't see her as boyish. To me she is quite feminine and delicate--the kind of gentle feminine I value at least. It seems that frequently she is described here as not having curves and nearly having a flat chest. Personally, I think it is rude to talk so much about someone's chest size in this way, but since it has been brought up I wanted to say something. She frequently wears baggier clothing. Marilyn mostly wore form fitted options and early in her career her chest size is close to the same as Audrey's I would argue. Marilyn's weight fluctuated some throughout her career I have noticed. Also Marilyn sometimes wore those pointy bras that were popular then which emphasize your chest even more. They make it look like your chest extends out even further. Also, since when is the definition of "classic" beauty being blonde. Marilyn wasn't a natural blonde if we want to bring up details. And as for curves I know it seems like people's definition of what that even means varies greatly, but to me what I immediately notice is if someone has a large waist to hip ratio--meaning their hips are noticeably larger than their waist. Audrey is definitely curvy in this way. She has a very feminine form in this way and I was never put off by her chest size. If someone had a boyish frame they wouldn't have hips like this in my opinion. The bone structure of her face is quite beautiful and uncommon like most classic beauties. I understand that she didn't quite realize this was the case which seems sometimes common, but I can see it. Also, describing some of her characteristics negatively and almost as if they are flaws bothers me. I also notice that sometimes when people call someone curvy they are only referring to breast size. That's fine if that's how they define it, but it seems kind of strange to me. Some women have a very large chest but no hips for instance and I have trouble seeing them as curvy myself. I would see someone like Audrey as more curvy than even someone like that. However, it's getting caught up on a word that seems to have different meaning for different people. I think the only word to describe her is beautiful and picking her apart takes away from the whole. Frequently people that aren't that attractive themselves seem to do this I will add. They frequently find a way to tear down someone who is prettier than them even in little or passive aggressive ways. It obviously bothers me so here I am standing up for Audrey in my own way.
Audreys beauty never fading until now people admire her beauty and style even the new generation. And maybe even the comings generation would admire her. no one peoply hooked with that kind of beauty.♥️
Her ballet background was a major reason her modeling career was so successful. She gave an interview explaining that she couldn't understand why people thought she was beautiful.
Watching this video of people saying she wasn't classically or conventionally beautiful... Seriously? I'm sitting here eating Del Taco while going, "i can't wear that. I don't have her arms."
This commentary is rubbish, they sound like they knew her personally, how offensive to her sons. Presuming these people had personal relationship with Audrey Hepburn, how disrespectful of them to talk about her all this.
One word: DIVA! It's exactly as they say in this video: Audrey was not a classic beauty, but she's so fancy, smart, modest, talented & sexy too, not in an obvious way (she didn't have to show her legs, breasts or butt)... all those together made her the most elegant actress Hollywood's ever had!
Once during a search on films I left photo by Audrey and Grace Kelly in the computer. And whenever I see this photo of Ms. Hepburn, is impressive as his gaze magnetiza me. Ímpossível to describe it. Simply admire
I had a dream of her a few months ago. I was sitting alone and she quietly came and sat next to me, wearing white. I leaned over to her and whispered: "Are you okay?" She leaned over to me and whispered: "Yes, I'm okay!" Dreams are very real. I've been praying for her ever since.
Audrey , beautiful inside and out. More class and elegance than she realized I think. Why does everyone have to pick her apart it appears those comments were very unprofessional. Guess there is too much negativity in this world as it is, too bad.
i agree with that lady, audrey is not a classic beauty. but her that is what makes her so beautiful. to me, someone whos the typical beauty is just pretty.. but someone like audrey, who is so unique, is Beautiful :)
@MrChinesecrested the appeal of Audrey was the fact she was not an in your face sexy but she was subtle with it. She showed tat you don't have to be hot or exotic to be considered beautiful she was that average girl who used her personality and charm to display what made her beautiful. She transcended standards of beauty. Unlike the Mairlyn Monoroe's who only appeal and look what sells in her time. Audrey never conformed herself to anything

Audreys beauty never fading until now people admire her beauty and style even the new generation. And maybe even the comings generation would admire her. no one peoply hooked with that kind of beauty.♥️
She has all it,because it was inside her. I loved her.
Her ballet background was a major reason her modeling career was so successful. She gave an interview explaining that she couldn't understand why people thought she was beautiful.
5:58 always gets my heart to a stop. That woman was insanely beautiful. God.
She was and still is beautiful!!!
She never thought she was pretty but look at all of us fans that would tell her otherwise!!
My name is Audrey just ignore the youtube name its my moms account
ur moms name is "fern"? lol
Ok?
Watching this video of people saying she wasn't classically or conventionally beautiful...
Seriously? I'm sitting here eating Del Taco while going, "i can't wear that. I don't have her arms."
Petite, slender, simply beautiful! I wish more women would emulate her style.
I adore her. She is timeless
WTF are these people talking about?? She was fucking gorgeous, I mean she is pretty much perfect
This commentary is rubbish, they sound like they knew her personally, how offensive to her sons. Presuming these people had personal relationship with Audrey Hepburn, how disrespectful of them to talk about her all this.
Diva, Iconic Queen and cute 😚😚😚
Ella fue y es x siempre un ICONO de PERSONA.
Serás mi preferida como ACTRIZ y como SER HUMANO ESPECIAL, MUY ESPECIAL!!!
Audrey Hepburn was one-of-a-kind stellar classic superstar
Audrey has everything today's spoiled wannabes has
Does anyone realize that Audrey Hepburn looks like Ariana Grande? I realized that a LONG TIME AGO!! 😬😘😳
It just makes me cry on how simple and elegant she is! Everything about her just brings joy :)
If only she could see herself now.
What is that music from 2:51 - 3:27? I don't remember from Funny Face.
She's so beautiful!
She was😍😍😍😍
One word: DIVA!
It's exactly as they say in this video: Audrey was not a classic beauty, but she's so fancy, smart, modest, talented & sexy too, not in an obvious way (she didn't have to show her legs, breasts or butt)... all those together made her the most elegant actress Hollywood's ever had!
She was a total original that will be admired and emulated forever.
She's the most beautiful woman who's ever lived.
I've been praying for her ever since.
very cool.
What a great ending!! Thanks for that :))
Audrey , beautiful inside and out. More class and elegance than she realized I think. Why does everyone have to pick her apart it appears those comments were very unprofessional. Guess there is too much negativity in this world as it is, too bad.
nobody in the world as unique and beautiful as Audrey Hepburn.
Makes me glad and proud to be tall near the same height as hell and have the same shoe size! I think she looked like a lovely doll! :) It's pretty
She was simply...Audrey Hepburn, Destined to become a Princess...Have Breakfast at Tiffany's and Become the Most Beautiful Woman of the 20th Century.
my great grandma looked very similar to her. I look like her (with makeup 😝) but i should probably get skinny to look more like her
Do you really?
Could you please put your pic up?
Ive never seen anyone who looked anything like her so if you do i would love to see that!!
She's the prettiest woman I've ever seen.
i agree with that lady, audrey is not a classic beauty. but her that is what makes her so beautiful. to me, someone whos the typical beauty is just pretty.. but someone like audrey, who is so unique, is Beautiful :)
Nobody is perfect but she is
She's perfect to me! 🙏❤
Clothes don't make the Audrey, Audrey makes the clothes. She is ,without a doubt, the most beautiful woman ever to grace the big screen or any screen for that matter.
