Alright cool you're alright with it. Next assassins creed there's gonna be two protags, ones gonna be white and ones gonna be black. It's set in Africa, and the white guy is a local. Every single AC game before this, had non historical protagonist who is native to the region. Be they black bayek, native american connor, italian ezio, or arab al-thair etc. But NOW in the age of wokism, they DEAD ASS ON PURPOSE, put in a historical figure yasuke into the game, and yasuke being a samurai is highly suspect, because as per japanese honor laws, a samurai has to commit suicide if their daimyo dies in an underhanded way, which nobunaga was backstabbed, trapped and burned alive by akechi. Which would mean BY honor and law, yazuke is duty bound to commit senpukku with nobunaga's death. Which he did not which means he is either a criminal ronin to be hunted and killed, or NEVER was a samurai to begin with, yasuke WAS give a stipend and salary, and given the title of page, ONLY because nobunaga likes to collect foreign things, like guns, cannons, weapons etc and he took a liking to the first tall black man he saw. And for yasuke to be around someone as important as nobunaga, he needed to have a proper title and salary, which he was given, and kept around as a curious trophy, nothing more and nothing else.
They could of had him as a side character with a good arc he’ll even his own doc but to make him main character instead of uhhh Musashi whatever, he looks bad ass but still it’s lame asf
I’m not white and this is such a disrespect. All the previous protagonists were historically ethnic race based on where they were located. The story itself might be based on a historical event, but to change the original protagonist from Asian to black is a disrespect. This is woke and pandering to one race. I bet yasuke was a side character but later changed to be the main. Yasuke was a retainer. There is no evidence what so ever he had a samurai title. Having a stipend and land doesn’t mean you are a samurai. And if he was a samurai he would have committed seppuka since his lord was stabbed from the back. Yasuke was imprisoned and released. He did not die at nobunaga side.
We still don't know what happened to him. If he got sold back or did they do something to him. Yes the previous portage was their "race" but again they wasn't historically A person:A.C. never been historically correct game.
