Some that maybe aren't so obvious? 3:42 - Gemsbok 4:36 - Springbok... I think? 4:41 - Blackbuck (okay I think I have a thing about african antelopes?) 6:12 - So everyone knows this is a tiger! But fun fact, all tigers in captivity are essentially "mutts". Their breeding was so messy in previous years that there just isn't any distinction between tiger species/breeds in captivity anymore. 6:30 - (Tufted) Capuchin monkey 8:41 - Not the best view, but looks like a species of Macaque 9:08 - Przewalski horses 10:51 - Gelada 12:06 - Dik Dik!
Luna Hmm, I love all species, but I am especially fascinated by species of cats. Wild cats, domestic cats, big cats, i love all of them 💕🐱💜 Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I love wolves also!!!
3:30 A white rhinoceros! How fun! A white rhino can weigh up to 4 tons and are considered Nearly Threatened on the endangered list! 3:42 Oryx/Gemsbok doing all this research made me fall in love with antelope and want to know even more about them! A gemsbok horns can grow up to 120cm in length and are longer and thinner on the female, also their low metabolism lets them go much of the year without drinking! 3:55 A Greater One Horned Rhino! It may look like this magnificent beast is wearing armor but it is actually thick folds of skin which protect the neck, and despite how heavy they are, they’re fantastic swimmers and can even dive. 4:34 Blackbucks! How graceful! A Blackbuck’s average life span is about 10-15 years. Their herds, composed of one adult male and multiple females with their young, can be as large as 50 herd members! 5:04 Aww! African Elephants! They are absolutely adorable! Despite popular belief, both male and female African Elephants can grow tusks! Also groups of elephants(called a parade of elephants) are primarily led by females, not males! 5:34 This little BLUE bird(looked black in the lighting which threw me way off) is a Ross’s Turaco. Turacos are native to the south of the Sahara, from Angola to Congo. 5:41 A Gouldian Finch! What spectacular colors! I’m sure Seri knows all about them, but I’ve found some interesting facts I’d like to share. Gouldian Finches are considered near threatened by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and fires are listed as a primary threat towards them, they are also popular pets due to their colorful colors! 6:00 African Pygmy Goose. I’ve never seen one of these, but their very interesting from the information I’ve gathered! Despite their name, African Pygmy Geese(Is that the right plural?😅) are not Geese! They are in fact a kind of dabbling duck! 6:15 Tiger! I just adore big cats, and this is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen! I think that most tigers in captivity are mixed but if this happens to be a rare purebreed I’d guess a Sumatran Tiger? Maybe? Tigers have lost 93% of their natural habitat because of city expansion- that’ s a small space for the biggest species of the cat family! 6:30 An adorable little Tufted Capuchin! So cute! Did you know that the Tufted Capuchin is only found in South America? Also the longest living Capuchin was held in captivity and lived to be 45 years! 6:38 I’m not good with plants so this took awhile 😅 but I believe this is a Jersey Lily. The Jersey Lily is native to South Africa and may grow up to 10 cm in length! 6:43 A flamingo(with some Mallard friends), most likely an American Flamingo to be exact. I’m sure you know that flamingos get their color from shrimp, but did you know that despite their height(4-5 ft!) they only weigh 4-8 pounds? 7:04 It looks like a Rattler! It’s so beautiful! Snakes don’t have eyelids and can’t close their eyes, meaning that the one you saw was most likely sleeping, but who knows what was going on in his little brain🙃? 7:10 Giraffes! How adorable! The fur covered horns on their heads are called ossicones and similarly to human fingerprints, no two giraffes have the same spots 7:31 A lovely little Koala! Speaking of fingerprints, did you know koalas have fingerprints, just like humans? Also they are actually not bears, their marsupials like wombats and kangaroos. 7:42 Hooded Merganser, how charming! While their diet is primarily made of fish, they also eat tadpoles, crustaceans, and mollusks. 7:57 Rufous Hummingbird! I love it’s earthy brown color scheme! Hummingbirds have a phenomenal memory! They can remember every flower and feeder they’ve been to, and how long it takes a flower to refill! 8:12 South African Cheetah! It’s gorgeous!Cheetahs are the only big cat that cannot roar, instead they chirp and purr. (Sorry in advance for the horrible joke) Why do you never play cards on the savannah? Because it’s full of cheetahs! 8:27 A very elegant looking Galapagos Tortoise! The oldest Galapagos Tortoise was 152 years old, and it is unlikely, but definitely possible, that there’s a Tortoise out there that was a hatchling when Darwin visited the Galapagos. 8:42 Wolf’s Monkey! How interesting! Wolf’s Monkey can be found in Central Africa and males weigh nearly TWICE as much as the females! 8:47 I would guess a Blue Headed Wood Dove? If so it’s feathers blend beautifully and form a lovely peachy color! They live in a large range in West Africa and are a bit of a common sight there, though still extremely beautiful! 9:02 A Great Blue Turaco! What and interesting red-tipped beak! Despite their name, Great Blue Turacos range in color from blues to greens to purples! 9:17 Przewalski’s Horses! I just absolutely love horses as a whole! Przewalski’s Horses are considered the only truly wild horse breed left! Any other ‘wild’ horse you see is actually a feral horse, meaning their ancestors were domesticated but either got loose or were set free and started breeding. Like how you see feral cats, they certainly don’t have owners or a comfy house, but they aren’t wild animals. 9:32 Awwww it’s a Ring-Tailed Lemur! Did you know that every Ring-Tailed Lemur has exactly 13 stripes? And when they travel they hold up their tails like flags so no one gets lost! 9:47 A TAPIR! How cute! I just love their noses and their little ears! Despite looking like pigs with the nose of an anteater, they are actually most closely related to horses and rhinos! 10:02 It’s Timon! This little Meerkat got Hakuna Matata playing in my head! Meerkats and Warthogs actually have a mutualistic relationship in real life, meaning a symbiotic relationship where they both benefit. The meerkats eat bugs of of the warthogs while riding on their backs. So the meerkats get lunch, and the warthogs get their itching relieved! 10:19 Ploceidae/Orange Weaver! I’m just so fascinated by their intricate handiwork that’s used in their beautiful nests. During breeding season, the males feathers actually change colors! They go from a drab brown and cream to brilliant orange with black plumage around the eyes and a black beak! 10:34 What cute Binturong/Bear Cat! I actually didn’t know this animal existed until I began researching this furry little creature! Their whiskers can reach 8 inches in length and their native to Southeast Asia, though it’s difficult to spot one in the wild. 10:49 How fascinating! It looks like a baboon wearing a coat! I believe it is a Gelada Baboon? These baboons are the only grass grazing baboons in the world and aren’t the best climbers, though some will climb trees to escape danger. 11:04 IS THAT A BABY WHITE RHINO?! How adorable! Female White Rhinos reproduce only every 2 1/2 to 5 years and the babies stay with their mothers for around 3 years. 11:34 It was hard to tell but it appears to be a Tree Kangaroo and her joey! There are 14 species of Tree Kangaroo spread throughout Papua New Guinea, Australia, and Indonesia. 12:04 Is that a Dik-Dik? It’s little horns! I’ve just completely fallen in love with antelope after some research on this endearing little creature! They’re named after the sound they make by whistling through their noses when their frightened. I highly recommend watching a video of a Dik-Dik’s alarm call, it really sounds like it’s saying Dik-Dik! 12:11 A Gerenuk! Ahhh! I can’t handle anymore cuteness! I just love the long neck, it makes the animal look almost surreal or otherworldly! In Somali, ‘Gerenuk’ means ‘Giraffe-Necked’. Fitting name, huh? 12:14 It’s a little Red Panda! Their iconic bushy tails add and extra 18 inches to its length and is used as a wraparound blanket when it gets chilly at night! How cute! 12:29 How elegant! A Victoria Crowned Pigeon! They almost remind me of peacocks in their coloring and head feathers! And the red eyes on top of the blue feathers is so fascinating! Victoria Crowned Pigeons are native to New Guinea and are named for their lace-like head crest. 12:31 A Grey Crowned Crane! I love is little poofball of yellow on top of it’s head, although it does make it look like it was electrocuted. These funny-looking birds have an intricate courtship dance and also share the parental duties when raising chicks. 12:40 Could it be?! A SUN BEAR?! I am somewhat bear obsessed and the sun bear is one of my favorites! I just love the markings and how they love to climb! Sun Bears live in tropical temperatures and don’t hibernate, enabling them to reproduce year round. Sun bears usually have two cubs at a time and raise them for two years. 12:55 It appears to be a mixture of different kinds of giraffe species but the first one shown is a Reticulated/Somali It’s difficult to tell giraffe species apart but I noticed that the first giraffe had little white specks within the brown spots and rather than looking like a spotted yellow animal, it looks like a brown animal with cracks in it. The second giraffe was missing the white specks and the spots were further apart, which is why I think their two different species. 13:13 In the faaaaaar background I think I may have spied a wildebeest, correct me if I’m wrong. While both male and female wildebeest have horns, the males’ horns are heavily embossed. Also males tend to be darker than females. In the thumbnail is a Caracal! Caracals are known for their iconic leap which can be as high a 10 feet! Caracals were also prized creatures in both Egypt and China.
When you were showing the gazelles (I think they were gazelles im not good at naming animals) why is the one at the end different?? Why does it have the darker shade on it when none of the others do?? (It was at 4:43)
So many amazing animals! There definitly some that I don’t know. But I have learned about the Victoria Crowned Pigeon now, and of course the gouldian finches!
3:30 White Rhinoceros 3:40 Fringe-Eared Oryx 3:51 Indian Rhinoceros 4:34 Blackbuck/Indian Antelope 4:51 Elephants, but not sure what kind 5:37 Ross's Turaco 5:43 Gouldian Finch 5:58 African Pygmy Goose 6:14 Tiger, but not sure what kind. Tho I think that tigers in captivity are all mixed, anyways? 6:31 Tufted Capuchin 6:39 Amaryllis belladonna 6:42 Flamingos, also Mallards 7:04 Rattlesnake 7:10 Giraffe 7:31 Koala 7:42 Hooded Merganser 7:54 Rufous Hummingbird 8:01 Cheetah 8:21 Galapagos Tortoise 8:40 Barbary Macaque? 8:48 Blue-headed Wood Dove? 8:58 The closest thing I can think of is a Black Curassow, but it doesn't quite fit with the red-tipped beak :c 9:05 Przewalski's Horse 9:20 Ring-tailed Lemur 9:42 Tapir 9:52 Meercat 10: 11 Orange Weaver 10:30 Binturong 10:49 Gelada 11:06 Leucistic white Rhino (calf)? 11:32 Tree Kangaroo 11:59 Dik-Dik 12:11 Gerenuk 12:14 Red Panda 12:25 Victoria Crowned Pigeon 12:33 Grey Crowned Crane 12:41 Spectacled Bear (because of the head markings?) 12:48 (West African?) Giraffe 13:06 (Blue) Wildebeest OOF that was a lot xD Hope I got a few correct!
@Alden Kraeger i know I'm late but it actually conserves their body heat when they rest in water!! Because their legs are so thin, a drop in water temperature rly affects them. It's kinda like frostbite for people. Our fingers and toes are the thinnest parts of our bodies so they lose heat faster and are susceptible to more damage when it comes to temperature. Since they CAN stand up on one leg, why waste body heat? They pull a leg up to their much warmer belly and conserve heat! Isn't that incredible?!!
This video really highlighted how many animals I don't know the names of 😂🙈 Nevertheless, it was a brilliant video, thank you Seri for an up close view of these beautiful and amazing animals! 😍
Oh my gosh! I live just a few minutes away from the San Diego zoo and safari park and I've seen the tree kangaroos before but I didn't know they had a baby! Wow! That must have been so special to see!
It was SO AWESOME!!! I'd seen the tree kangaroo had had a baby in the Animal Planet, "The Zoo: San Diego" show but it was filmed months before we arrived, so I wasn't sure what to expect - so imagine my shock when we are wandering into Australia section and suddenly A MILLION PEOPLE WITH HUGE CAMERAS clicking rapid-fire!! I was curious so we peered over their shoulder - and then I quickly whipped out my own camera in excitement to see the BABY!! It was so cute and wanted out of the pouch, but Mom was having none of it and kept shoving it back in!
aaahh, it's good to look at some animals i don't usually see that much through the day. It can only help me create more and more fun creature designs. Like, i've never made one with a head similar to a rhino's even though it looks so ! cool !
The people who dislike this video are people that wish they could've gone to see all the amazing giraffes. I hope you are having a good day, Seri. I love you channel, and I've asked for one of your hoodies for my upcoming birthday. :D

Oh my gosh I wish I got to go there! I normally dont like some zoos because animals deserve the natural environment they need to be in but I also love zoos because you can see amazing animals, and also help animals get saved. And its funny because someone in the comments asked whats your favorite animal, I would always say wolves or dogs but I love other animals like tigers and elephants and giraffes and monkeys and lemurs and turtles, pandas, koalas, penguins and hippopotamus's, rhino's, and if you dont know what this is search it up its a Bloodbelly comb jelly, and they look amazing! And thanks to Seri for being an AMAZING youtuber and letting me know how amazing some animals are and I've learned SO MUCH from you and sorry if this comment is really early or late because it is 5:46 Am for me so.. Yeah but I really love your channel and watching this was amazing also put in the comments, do you have a favorite animal? Lots of love, from Sofia/Peppermints 💙💙💛💛 P.s here are some animals you might not know yo search up.. Ground Pangolin, Western Tarsier, Bald Uakari, Babirusa, Proboscis Monkey, and there are SO MANY!
Also sorry for all the comments but I have so many questions!!! @ 6:11 when the tiger moves its ears back thats what my cat does a lot why do they do that?? And why only cats and not like dogs or anything (I actually dont know if dogs do it but i dont have one but i used to im pretty sure they dont) is it because they are listening for something??

Im pretty sure the only type of giraffe the San Diego zoo has is the Masai giraffe but that particular giraffe is actually baby Dixie!! When giraffes are born their ossicones (horn-type things on their heads) are soft and take about a year after birth to harden. Dixie here just has some very fluffy ossicones. So she's not a different species, just a unique adorable giraffe calf!!
Rhino, gazelle, cheetahs, exotic, beautiful birds, tiger, giraffe, flamingo. I have some more, but I’m giving everyone a fair chance. But also, I am so glad you got this experience! Also, maybe, chickadeesdeeedeeedeedeesedeede

It sounds like you had an absolutely amazing trip! Hopefully, I will also be able to visit there some day.
Black rhino Thompsons gazelle 3:584:34 African elephant (big ears) 5:37 Parrot/colorful finch 6:02 duck? Hi again, Seri! I actually went and looked up the animals I didn't know, and I found out some pretty cool facts! The long necked antelope is a Gerenuk, I believe, and the cool bird with the tuft of fuzz-feathers on his head is a Grey Crowned Crane! I also found out that birds have hollow bones full of air! Thank you for inspiring me to look up these things!
I' here a little over a year later just to re-watch this and I wanted to say that the Tufted Duck looked like it was walking in a "posh" way it had me cackling.
Sounds like you had so much fun! I'm so thankful for places like these that hep to educate people and remind us all who we're sharing this planet with. Quick question, do you have a list of recommended charities to donate to? I have a hard time figuring out which organizations are being honest about their efforts. Thanks!

Springbok (and a lot of other gazelle and antelope I do not know the names of), Black Rhino, White Rhino (?), African Elephants, Many Finches, Tiger, Flamingos, RATTLESNAKE, Giraffe, Koalas, Poofy Duck Bird (7:42), Bee-Eater (I think?), African Cheetah, Galapagos Tortoise, Preswalski Horse, Ring-tailed Lemur, Tapir, Meerkat, European Baboons, Wallaby, Pika (?) (Or Dik dik), Red Panda, and Black Bear. I tried! Love your videos, Seri! ❤️🌱
12:11 is the Gerenuk! fun fact: By standing on there hind legs, gerenuks can get 8 ft. high! 12:06 is the Kirk's Dikdik! Fun fact: dikdiks mate for there whole life! it is hard to find them without a partner!
How fun that you got to see SO many different species!!!! I spy with my little eye... Rhino (Black I think), Gemsbok, another Rhino species (Javan, I think), antelope (can't remember the species), African Elephant, Takahe (I think), I think Seri found some Gouldian Finches!!!, duck of some type, Bengal Tiger, monkey of some type (leaning towards an Old World Monkey, but I can't think of the species!), Flamingos (think Greater) and another waterfowl, snake of some type, Giraffes!!! Koalas, another duck species, hummingbird species (I think), Cheetah being a good education ambassador, Galapagos Tortoise, another monkey species (think New World), a species of Pigeon (can't remember which), another bird species (nice head crest!), Przewalski's Wild Horse, Ring Tailed Lemur, Baird's Tapir, Meerkat, another bird species (love the color!), zero clue at 10:30 but it's lovely!, a Baboon species?, White Rhino, Tree Kangaroo, Duiker, Impala, Red Panda, Victoria Crowned Pigeon (Seri's fav pigeon!), a Crane species (but the name is eluding me, which is so embarrassing!), a Bear...Kodiak maybe?, more giraffes (including the one with the heart shaped spot!)! Thanks for sharing them with us!!!
Okey here I go, I tried my best but I struggled on a lot of the birds, ornithology might not be my strong suit. I'll put everything behind a read more for spoilers sake (no peeking) So, in order of appearance, I believe we have- White Rhinoceros Gemsbok Indian Rhino Blackbuck African Elephant This was my first struggle, I'm guessing some sort of Tragopan, but even after looking it up I couldn't find it. I admit defeat on this one. Our beloved Gouldian finches African Pygmy Goose (I admit, this was another I had to look up) Bengal tiger Capuchin Monkey Some absolutely gorgeous orchids (do those count?) Greater flamingos, + some Mallards trying to be sneaky A sidewinder? maybe? Some sort of viper The glorious Giraffes, I doubt it matters but for a subspecies I'd guess Angolan giraffes, based on the pattern and others I've seen in zoos Koala Oh boy another odd bird, my guess was tufted duck, but I couldn't find it on the zoo website either so this is another defeat Well, at least I can guess that its a hummingbird (Ornithology coming to vex me yet again) Cheetah The adorable Galapagos Tortoise I'm unsure of the species, but I'd say a Macaque of some description Female Victoria Crowned Pigeon I have no idea what that guy is but I love him Prezwalski Wild horses? I had no idea they were at San Diego... Ring-tailed lemur At first I thought Bairds tapir, but my gut said Mountain tapir, could be either Meerkat Finally, a bird I know (I think), is that a golden weaver? Gelada (fun fact, a group of baboons is called a congress) an adorable baby white rhino Either a Klipspringer or a Dik-Dik, I'm leaning towards Dik-Dik Gerenuks! One of my favourites! Red Panda The glorious male Victoria Crowned Pigeon Grey Crowned Crane (Another bird I know! Also the national animal of Uganda) Is that a spectacled bear?! And finally, the giraffes make a reappearance. In that clip they look closer to Reticulated giraffes, but I'll stand by my guess of Angolan. This was a super fun video to watch! Sometimes when I watch a nature documentary I'll try and guess what the animal is before the narrator says its name, this was kinda similar and super fun. I cannot believe how many animals there are at that zoo! Thanks for getting these awesome clips Seri BONUS ROUND: That's a caracal in the thumbnail, right?
Ross's turaco was after the African elephants, the sidewinder is actually an albino or leucistic rattlesnake the female crowned pigeon is actually a something wood pigeon? There is no sexual dimorphism for Victoria crowned pigeon Tufted duck is a tufted merganser, macaque is immature mandrill Rufous hummingbird Also I think you missed out binturong
This video made it official in my journey to become a zoologist. So inspirational. Is anyone currently studying in the field now apart of any school? Just not sure where exactly to start!
Thumbnail: Caracal 3:30 White Rhinos (the wide mouths tell me they aren't Black rhinos) 3:41 Gemsbok/Oryx 3:53 Greater one-horned/Indian rhinos (either that or Javan rhinos, which are very similar) 4:36 Blackbuck 4:55 African elephants 5:34 Possibly a type of pigeon? 5:50 Gouldian finches 6:02 African pygmy goose? 6:11 Tiger, though I'm not certain of the subspecies (possibly Bengal?) 6:29 Capuchin(?) monkey 6:43 Flamingos 7:08 Some sort of viper 7:11 Giraffes (Masai or possibly Rothschild's from what I could see from the spots) 7:32 Koala 7:45 Looks like a diving duck 7:57 Hummingbird? 8:05 Cheetah 8:21 Galapagos tortoise 8:40 Japanese macaque? 8:48 I should remember this species of dove, but I'm blanking right now 8:59 No idea 9:06 Przewalski's wild horse 9:21 Ring-tailed lemurs 9:45 Brazilian? tapir 9:53 Meerkats 10:13 Weaver birds of some sort 10:32 Bintarong (Fun fact: they smell like popcorn) 10:51 Geladas 11:12 Leucistic (similar to albino, but has some pigmentation) white rhino calf 11:34 Tree kangaroos 12:00 Dik-dik 12:13 Gerenuk mother and calf 12:15 Red panda 12:26 Victoria crowned pigeon 12:34 African crowned crane 12:43 Sloth bear 12:49 Reticulated giraffes 13:06 Blue wildebeast Lovely video, Seri. I love visiting zoos whenever I get the chance (I try to go to my local at least once a week, and, as a result, I know many of the animals there by name), and now I want to visit the San Diego Zoo more than ever. Keep up the great work!
3:33 Black Rphino I think 3:43 Gemsbok (question: is gemsbok the same as oryx?) 3:54 Black rhino again I belive 4:34 Tompsons Gazelle (but they dont have the black stripe on their belleh-belleh (belly) and one of them has a lot of black around its head?) 5:02 African Elephant 5:36 I honestly have no idea and I cant find it anywhere! (heh sorry I love meerkats) 10:21 Golden-Palm Weaver 10:30 What the-? Woooow thats sooo cooool!!! I have no idea what animal is it thou, perhaps some type of wolverine? Somebody please tell me if you know cuz I'd absolutely love to research it more 10:49 A pair (some type) of Baboons 11:05 White Rhinoceros perhaps? 11:51 An ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE baby Tree Tangaroo and it's mommy UwU 12:04 Dik-Dik Antilope (I think heh) One of my favourites! 12:11 Vikunya maybe 12:15 Red Panda! 12:25 Victoria Crowned Pigeon! Beautiful 12:33 Gray Crowned Crane, we've got a lot of crowned princes and princesses here 12:43 Black bear 12:47 I believe a South African Giraffe OOOOOMMGGGGG THAT TOOK SOOOOOO LOOOONG!!!! Anyway those are my best guess! It was a lot of fun even though I didn't get all the animals Glad you had so much fun Seri! Sending looots of love!!! 💞💓💕🐿🦒 Edit: typos
Don't know if we were supposed to name them all but I'll just try: White Rhino, Oryx, Javan Rhino(one of my favorites!), Lesser Kudu, African Elephant, some sort of bird of paradise, gouldian finch(miss seeing the birdoes), pretty sure its a Malayan Tiger but it could also be Sumatran because of the facial structure, Macaque, HIBISCUS FLOWERS, flamingos with some adorable grey yearlings, albino diamond back rattlesnake???, a giraffe that has the most adorable tufts in the world, koala, a very fancy birb, some sort of hummingbird, cheetah, Galapagos Tortoise, Mandrill baby, a very fancy pigeon, przewalki's horse(don't know if I spelled that right), ring tailed lemur, Baird's Tapir, Meerkat, Bindotrung(I think), more mandrills, white rhino baby, Tree Kangaroo, Dik Dik, Gerenuk, Red Panda, Sun Bear, and finally another giraffe. Thank you Zoo Tycoon 2!

Some that maybe aren't so obvious?
3:42 - Gemsbok
4:36 - Springbok... I think?
4:41 - Blackbuck
(okay I think I have a thing about african antelopes?)
6:12 - So everyone knows this is a tiger! But fun fact, all tigers in captivity are essentially "mutts". Their breeding was so messy in previous years that there just isn't any distinction between tiger species/breeds in captivity anymore.
6:30 - (Tufted) Capuchin monkey
8:41 - Not the best view, but looks like a species of Macaque
9:08 - Przewalski horses
10:51 - Gelada
12:06 - Dik Dik!
I'm pretty sure 4:41 are actually Blackbucks! Bonteboks don't have such spiraled horns.

Hmm, I love all species, but I am especially fascinated by species of cats. Wild cats, domestic cats, big cats, i love all of them 💕🐱💜
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I love wolves also!!!
If I were to pick a living animal, probably the hippopotamus. If I'm allowed to choose an extinct animal then I choose the Archelon! -Kadryn
The fur covered horns on their heads are called ossicones and similarly to human fingerprints, no two giraffes have the same spots
7:31 A lovely little Koala!
This is the cutest thing ever and I went to the San Diego zoo today too!!!!

So, I dont want to sound dumb but why do flamingos stand on one foot
its balance
@Alden Kraeger i know I'm late but it actually conserves their body heat when they rest in water!! Because their legs are so thin, a drop in water temperature rly affects them. It's kinda like frostbite for people. Our fingers and toes are the thinnest parts of our bodies so they lose heat faster and are susceptible to more damage when it comes to temperature. Since they CAN stand up on one leg, why waste body heat? They pull a leg up to their much warmer belly and conserve heat! Isn't that incredible?!!

Like, i've never made one with a head similar to a rhino's even though it looks so ! cool !
7:59 awww the hummingbird was super cute and fluffy I love hummingbirds!😀

Seri you should really come to South Africa and believe me I see animals everyday roaming the streets giraffes I see the most
All of them are just bundles of joy!!!
Lots of love, from Sofia/Peppermints 💙💙💛💛
P.s here are some animals you might not know yo search up.. Ground Pangolin, Western Tarsier, Bald Uakari, Babirusa, Proboscis Monkey, and there are SO MANY!
9:14 are those horses?!12:17 My favourite animal, the Red panda! I want to see a planet zoo video on them.
Yes they are! They are prwalszki horses ( might have spelled that wrong) they are the horses before the ones we have now.
*Cool animals like a tiger and a cheetah are shown in the vid*
Me: LOOK AT ALL THE CUTE BIRDS!!!!!
One of the many reasons I have my bird Tweeter, I looove birds!
Seri when you ❤️ this comment i was watching one of your vids XD!!! I love them almost as much as I love my cats!!! Keep up the good work :3!!

Almost positive it is a tapir, to be specific Baird's Tapir?
5:33 what kind of bird is that? Never seen it and 6:55 why are some flamingos grey?
flamingos are only pink because of their diet but in zoos they mainly have supplement
I saw eastern black rhino, Indian rhino, African elephants, Przewalski horses, what looked liked Caribbean flamingos, Koalas, dik dik, Giraffe (possibly both Masai and Reticulated), some sort of species of turaco(?), Victorian crowned pidgeon, cheetah, your precious finches, the binturong, the ring tailed lemur, the red panda, the tapir (which is my favorite), the meerkats, the capuchin monkey, the tiger (it looked like a Sumatran tiger but I was not sure), the Galapagos tortoise and so many more animals that I would have to go through it much more slowly in order to be able to see them all! It sounds like you had an absolutely amazing trip! Hopefully, I will also be able to visit there some day.

I love the voices that you make
Hi again, Seri!
Your so pretty Seri!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
There is a Binturong a 10:30!!! I love how they are called a bearcat! 😍😍😍😍😍
Sounds like you had so much fun! I'm so thankful for places like these that hep to educate people and remind us all who we're sharing this planet with. Quick question, do you have a list of recommended charities to donate to? I have a hard time figuring out which organizations are being honest about their efforts. Thanks!

Hey Seri, maybe it would be fun to start a series talking about individual species, with a mix of real life and game footage. Just an idea. Also, do I get an A?
That tiger was so cute!!😍
Was the won before the baboons a honey bear 🐻 and what was the white thing with the big Claws and th baby
Great video seri, with some beautifully interesting animals
Okey here I go, I tried my best but I struggled on a lot of the birds, ornithology might not be my strong suit. I'll put everything behind a read more for spoilers sake (no peeking)
So, in order of appearance, I believe we have-
White Rhinoceros
Gemsbok
Indian Rhino
Blackbuck
African Elephant
This was my first struggle, I'm guessing some sort of Tragopan, but even after looking it up I couldn't find it. I admit defeat on this one.
Our beloved Gouldian finches
African Pygmy Goose (I admit, this was another I had to look up)
Bengal tiger
Capuchin Monkey
Some absolutely gorgeous orchids (do those count?)
Greater flamingos, + some Mallards trying to be sneaky
A sidewinder? maybe? Some sort of viper
The glorious Giraffes, I doubt it matters but for a subspecies I'd guess Angolan giraffes, based on the pattern and others I've seen in zoos
Koala
Oh boy another odd bird, my guess was tufted duck, but I couldn't find it on the zoo website either so this is another defeat
Well, at least I can guess that its a hummingbird (Ornithology coming to vex me yet again)
Cheetah
The adorable Galapagos Tortoise
I'm unsure of the species, but I'd say a Macaque of some description
Female Victoria Crowned Pigeon
I have no idea what that guy is but I love him
Prezwalski Wild horses? I had no idea they were at San Diego...
Ring-tailed lemur
At first I thought Bairds tapir, but my gut said Mountain tapir, could be either
Meerkat
Finally, a bird I know (I think), is that a golden weaver?
Gelada (fun fact, a group of baboons is called a congress)
an adorable baby white rhino
Either a Klipspringer or a Dik-Dik, I'm leaning towards Dik-Dik
Gerenuks! One of my favourites!
Red Panda
The glorious male Victoria Crowned Pigeon
Grey Crowned Crane (Another bird I know! Also the national animal of Uganda)
Is that a spectacled bear?!
Thanks for getting these awesome clips Seri
BONUS ROUND: That's a caracal in the thumbnail, right?
Ross's turaco was after the African elephants, the sidewinder is actually an albino or leucistic rattlesnake the female crowned pigeon is actually a something wood pigeon? There is no sexual dimorphism for Victoria crowned pigeon Tufted duck is a tufted merganser, macaque is immature mandrill Rufous hummingbird Also I think you missed out binturong
Love 💗 your vids
This video made it official in my journey to become a zoologist. So inspirational. Is anyone currently studying in the field now apart of any school? Just not sure where exactly to start!
Thumbnail: Caracal
3:30 White Rhinos (the wide mouths tell me they aren't Black rhinos)
3:41 Gemsbok/Oryx
3:53 Greater one-horned/Indian rhinos (either that or Javan rhinos, which are very similar)
4:36 Blackbuck
4:55 African elephants
5:34 Possibly a type of pigeon?
5:50 Gouldian finches
6:02 African pygmy goose?
6:11 Tiger, though I'm not certain of the subspecies (possibly Bengal?)
6:29 Capuchin(?) monkey
6:43 Flamingos
7:08 Some sort of viper
7:11 Giraffes (Masai or possibly Rothschild's from what I could see from the spots)
7:32 Koala
7:45 Looks like a diving duck
7:57 Hummingbird?
8:05 Cheetah
8:21 Galapagos tortoise
8:40 Japanese macaque?
8:48 I should remember this species of dove, but I'm blanking right now
8:59 No idea
9:06 Przewalski's wild horse
9:21 Ring-tailed lemurs
9:45 Brazilian? tapir
9:53 Meerkats
10:13 Weaver birds of some sort
10:32 Bintarong (Fun fact: they smell like popcorn)
10:51 Geladas
11:12 Leucistic (similar to albino, but has some pigmentation) white rhino calf
11:34 Tree kangaroos
12:00 Dik-dik
12:13 Gerenuk mother and calf
12:15 Red panda
12:26 Victoria crowned pigeon
12:34 African crowned crane
12:43 Sloth bear

I love visiting zoos whenever I get the chance (I try to go to my local at least once a week, and, as a result, I know many of the animals there by name), and now I want to visit the San Diego Zoo more than ever. Keep up the great work!

White Rhino, Oryx, Javan Rhino(one of my favorites!), Lesser Kudu, African Elephant, some sort of bird of paradise, gouldian finch(miss seeing the birdoes), pretty sure its a Malayan Tiger but it could also be Sumatran because of the facial structure, Macaque, HIBISCUS FLOWERS, flamingos with some adorable grey yearlings, albino diamond back rattlesnake???, a giraffe that has the most adorable tufts in the world, koala, a very fancy birb, some sort of hummingbird, cheetah, Galapagos Tortoise, Mandrill baby, a very fancy pigeon, przewalki's horse(don't know if I spelled that right), ring tailed lemur, Baird's Tapir, Meerkat, Bindotrung(I think), more mandrills, white rhino baby, Tree Kangaroo, Dik Dik, Gerenuk, Red Panda, Sun Bear, and finally another giraffe.
