Loved the video Chris. My wife and I are planning on visiting the Safari Park in a couple of months, so this really helps. P.S. That virtual Indiana-Jones-inspired safari outfit looks cool; albeit, it’s not yellow. Well, at least the hat is sorta yellowish. 😀
Wow this is actually a good video! Did the zoo yesterday and will be doing the park today. All things you mentioned I would have liked to know prior To going to the zoo yesterday lol but it’s okay cuz I feel more prepared for the park today. Thank you for touching on even the things most people don’t think about like what the roads look like getting to that park. Now I know what to expect leaving in the late evening. Great job! 🎉😊
Hi Chris. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park looks amazing. I'd probably get there when they open and spend the whole day exploring the park. Thanks for sharing and take care.
as expensive as everything is, I can't believe the balloon is so cheap!!! Balloon rides are usually crazy expensive! That's the first thing I'll book when I go!!!!!! thnx for the great info!
It looks interesting and not too expensive except paying for the additional things .When I lived there many years ago it was The wild Animal Park. I never went there as it seemed to far from central San Diego. I did go to the Zoo and enjoyed that as well as Sea World.
Chris, if you are looking for hotel accommodations, you can also choose either of the two closest Indian Casino hotels north of Escondido…about nine miles north is the Valley View Hotel and Casino and a further three miles past that is Harrahs Rincon Resort…Both are really nice and not overwhelmingly expensive
I tell fellow Disney nerds that this park, (which I tend to visit more than the main Zoo park since I live a lot closer and Members get into both) is actually the reason why I am not Quite as enthusiastic for Animal Kingdom as many of them are….It’s THAT good a Safari park! (Mind you, no rides, but it is a Very well-designed park!)
Looks great... hit the Zoo the last time we were in San Diego. This will definitely go on the list for the next time! BTW, your daughter is so dang cute!
Wonderful content as always Chris! Next time I visit San Diego, I'll def check out the Safari Park Zoo in Escondido! I really enjoyed seeing the San Diego Zoo in Thanksgiving last year in 2022. It's always nice to have things to look forward to see/do/eat next time I visit my favorite city in all of California! 😊
#10 ****** During the month of February, all visitors age 65 and older receive "FREE "admission to the Safari Park. Since it is March put it on your calendar for next year. It's wonderful!!!!! Also when I was teaching 5th grade in a public school, we spent the night with my class at the roar and snore. Not sure if they are doing that anymore (Jean)
I don't recommend going. We went during Senior February. Had we paid to get in we would have really been upset. There was no shuttle service to assist us to get from the parking lot to entrance. It's now $20 to park, $38 if you want preferred parking or are an RV. The African tram we were told included for free was so packed the wait was 90 minutes and just looked miserable. For the large crowds they have very small bathrooms and stalls. Hardly any animals were there. No schedule information as to if you can see the kangaroos. We walked all the way to the other side and saw the male tiger, no kangaroos nothing to tell us anything either. So essentially we saw some birds, one tiger and gorillas. So much more to see at the San Diego Zoo. Only thing they had tons of at the safari park were additions to pay more to get on a safari that people were complaining about too. There were also tons of places to eat and outrageous prices. We will never be back here.
Dang talk about deja vu, went here with the wife and kiddo around late October of last year. Thank god it wasn’t as busy at that time and that tram ride was pretty much a walk on. Besides San Diego Zoo it was our first time here and we like it a lot. Only down side if you want to get up close and feed the animals, would’ve been a couple extra 100$’s 😬. That was a hard pass for us 😅
hi unrelated to current video but a question regarding japan. in what order should i see tokyo tower, shibuya sky and sky tree. i only have barely 5 days in tokyo.
Chris unrelated to San Diego Zoo, I have a question about Disneyland. Is it worth it in your opinion to buy the Genie + for both parks or neither or one and not the other? Thank you
Hi Tony -- it depends if want to ride the rides that have lightning lanes.. if so, then it's worth it. If you're there with little kiddos and just doing like the fantasyland rides that don't have lightning lanes then it's not worth it
@@YellowProductions Thank you Chris for you reply. My kids are teenagers so we will definitely be riding the "older kids" rides. But I thought I would get your insight since some people say for example that you do not really need the Genie + over at Animal Kingdom in Florida. You think it is worth it still for DCA?

Agree. Some of the theming here really meets and surpasses the best out there.
Hi Chris, we stay at the Welk resort now owned by Hyatt (8860 Lawarence Welk Drive, Escondido, CA), it is really nice and not far away.
Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for sharing your perspective Kathy. Yeah. We encountered a long line for the tram so paid the extra to skip the line
You sound miserable.
Love the WGASA

Anyone know which safari ride is the best? Also, do they still do giraffe feedings?
hi unrelated to current video but a question regarding japan. in what order should i see tokyo tower, shibuya sky and sky tree. i only have barely 5 days in tokyo.
I'd do Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Sky Tree, and then Shibuya Sky last
can you take uber to and from the zoo?
Carousel is the best
I want to take the kids here bad. I love San Diego
Where can i book the Ballon?
