This boat is awesome. One of my favorites along Circa Marine´s MollyHawk and FPB 97 Iceberg, serious stuff for long range cruising in the worst weather.
The FPB 97 is a beautiful - When it comes to crossing the Atlantic during the winter months, then for safety and speed, I cannot think of many hulls that I would rather make the voyage on! Thanks for watching!
@@YachtBuoy Indeed, DashewOffshore are no fools, they know how longe range crossings works. From Fiji to Panama is quite a journey. Thanks for replying me. I really appreciate your videos, keep them coming please. Take a look at Metal Shark 50 m "Magnet" catamaran with 11.000 nm range. Trimaran Adastra also has the same range. Each deserve a full episode on your channel.
Their XSV20 'Thunderchild II' was at my marina last year I think it was.. You certainly wouldn't miss that in a marina. Striking to say the least. It was liften in Belfast to have a repair done.
I like it because you could out run a storm or go through it and enjoy the ride. Just wondering about the range at cruising speed. Thanks, great dream boat.
@@-BUFFALOMan Though fast, Setton prefers to run at slower speeds. "Yes, she'll get up to 51 mph but she's a lot happier at 40," he says come down to 30 mph and she'll cover 600 nautical miles without refuelling. I just added this info because the range is always a must know for myself and half the other armchair enthusiasts. 😃😃😄
Love to be able to buy such a boat, can you imagine?, just where you could go at 25 knots, that’s 660 miles every 24 hours. But unless I win some huge lottery I will stick to lesser boats. I have seen seen several good reviews of the Nordhavn 41, but still have not seen a ocean crossings etc. Maybe you could find something? Keep up your great videos.
amazing boat no question about it. 2 points though 1- needs a tweak here and there to provide a bit more of aft deckspace. 2- would be nice to have a variety of building materials like aluminium or aramat available. this is a real professional beauty but needs adaptation for pleasure boating as well.
This boat will probably be capable of handling heavy seas, but the hull form would make it extremely uncomfortable with rapid vertical accelerations and general pitching. It is also very wet, making usable deck space limited.
@@YachtBuoy yes I done 20 years with the RNLI and loved the buzz in bad weather 🤣 But it had it's sad moments along with the good and was so satisfying when you get to help people
20 years is a long time! I salute you! I was gutted when I had to move out of the 'ten minute pager' zone as I loved my couple of years that I spent on the crew.
Appears to be great for short trips at high speed. Not the boat for trans-oceans. Has anybody designed a 24M, comfortable, motor yacht that can cruise at 15N, burning 1gal/nm ?
Definitely a wild ride ! Too bad you didn't list it's range & fuel capacity etc.
I wonder why if it's so great and it was built in 2019 why it's for sale so soon?
Good work, good boat.
It's a my number one dream motor boat.
Thanks for watching :-)

Wow 50 mph? That's awesome
Nice job on your videos. Always to the point and not milking your subs ✌🏼
Thanks 🙌 I appreciate it 👍

love it and your voice
Thanks! Although, I can’t listen to my voice in my early videos as it makes me cringe lol
Hello! I`ve enjoyed watching Thunder Child since the first version. A trully wave piercer!
100% 🙌
Video taken off Roches Point Cork Harbour. Well done Safehaven Marine.
Mechanical artwork! Stunning. I've watched a few of your videos and have now subscribed! :-) Keep finding and showing these beauties.
Thank you very much!
That looks fun
This Lady is an absolute beauty. I fell in love immediately. I need to have one of those.
I love it badass can't wait to take delivery of one soon!

Good question! I'm guessing about 250 nm at full speed in clam conditions. But don't quote me on that lol
Its range 600nm with a cruising speed of 30 knots

Can you please mention the range of this boat? Thanks!
Love that boat!
Me too 🙌
Does your carload,Sir actually know what it's liKe

Its much more comfortable that way than a normal boat.
@@martinsv9183 Rapid vertical accelerations and violent pitching do not sound comfortable to most people.
@@k9killer221 Of course not. But you need to compare it to other boats. Or stay on land :)
Which company is listing her for sale ? Isn’t clear in the video
This is was custom build for a client by Safehaven Marine. Not sure she is still for sale
What is the max range
Narj, I'm more into low-speed trawler yachting - anything faster than 8 knots is too fast for me :-)
At least you have a better chance of avoiding obstacles at 8kts than you do at 44kts lol
Hilarious!
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Thanks bro 🙌
What is the background song?
It's from the RUclips studio :-)
I would give anything for a trip out on one like this but would have to be really bad weather 🤣
Either this or a Shannon Class lifeboat

Sweet but they sacrificed a decent air draft for a minimal fly bridge. Why?
Good question. I know that some yacht/boat owners love being 'outside' in all weather conditions. Maybe it's for those calmer days?
@@YachtBuoy I suppose but it's sacrificing bridge clearance for a small gain in my opinion.
Range?
What is the range?
I think around 500nm
They are scared to list the fuel consumption
Love the boat, but it is out of my budget. My army retirement just does not cut it.........
Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. Great to see a fellow veteran on the page 🙌
@@YachtBuoy Thank you for your service.
👏🍻
I'd like to own this one,. Musk 24 usa
I would like to build a similar design boat around 20m long out of aluminium. Nice design.
I would love to see that 😍
Id feel safer in a John boat

The Grand Banks 85 (my latest video) is a good contender
Yes look up fpb yachts
Mary Slim VSV. Adrian Thompson design.
Fiber-reinforced plastic??? We could take it seriously if it was made from aluminum but not from FRP!
🤣🤣🤣

Yachtsman :-) That is one capable but very ugly boat.

Original VSV proto' 50 was the best and the original of the modern wavepiercers.
What is the range
