    So, tell me! Which one do you have: Dry skin or dehydrated skin? If you've tried any of the products I mentioned, how did you like them?

    • @LexFerrante
      @LexFerrante 5 лет назад +1

      I have oily skin so unless I use a really harsh product, I don't really have dryness issues. At least with my face. My body occasionally gets dry in the winter. And i guess because it is a little crinkly but still shiny, I have dehydrated skin :) Great explanation!

    I am struggling with this since my hysterectomy. I need to put a cream 3 times a day and sometimes around my lips even more. I use shea butter. And Roche posay serum for dyhydrated skin. I also use alo vera, lavender oil, olive oil. Not all the time but i change according to my skin. I still havent found something that would be 100 perfect for me,except that hyluronic acid that really helps me.

    Thank you for all the good information. I thought my skin looks different due to not drinking enough water. I found out I have dry skin. It’s not flaky, cracked, shiny or wrinkled (I have no wrinkles, I have to count my blessings)I have large pores on my cheeks. Which I hate. I think because I’m aged (61 yrs young) my skin has changed. I do use oils on my face and creams. I’m going to try some of the oils you talked about on your other video. The one thing that bothers me the most about my face is uneven skin tone. I have darker skin and would love for it to be one color all over. Thank you so much. So I wanted to know more about it and found your great channel. So I have a question if I use Hyaluronic Acid Serum, what kind of toner should I use after it? What ingredients should it have? Do you have a recommendation? I usually just find Toners, which you can tab onto your face, but rarely Spray Toners...

    Do you have an alternative to replace retin-a? I have used it many years and although my skin is more youthful, but the dryness is causing concerns. I am looking for a routine for am/pm using great antiaging ingredients. Thank you for your very informative video!!

    • @GoSeeChristy
      @GoSeeChristy  5 лет назад +5

      If you would like a a more "diluted version" of a retinoid, you can consider Retinol. However, if you are not liking how the Retin A is causing more dryness in the winter, then you may want to switch to a Glycolic Acid based product for your exfoliant, and using Anti oxidant serum and a antioxidant based night cream. As far as your sunscreen, if you are looking for an ANTI AGING sunscreen that has the powerful anti oxidants and peptides from plant stem cells as well as plant based lightener and brightener to even out skin tone and age spots, please consider using the HYDRATING sunscreen here: www.goseechristybeauty.com . It is the Lira Clinical Hydrating sunscreen. Hope this helps and I am so glad you are finding the video helpful!

    I use hyaluronic acid mixed with water so it goes on with hydration whilst the H/A sucks up the water and absorbs it instead of trying to suck moisture from the air etc. It's been miraculous. I suddenly had winter wrinkles appear almost overnight now after a month using the diluted H/A (50/50) my wrinkles are near completely gone. I use it several times a day.

  • @cooldude588
    @cooldude588 4 года назад

    Hi Christy,
    Is my understanding correct:
    Before bathing, do cleansing and exfoliation.
    After bathing, while face still damp, apply HA serum.
    There is not a necessary need to apply separate occulsive agent, since HA is not just an humactant (draw moisture), it also act as occulsive agent.

    • @GoSeeChristy
      @GoSeeChristy  3 года назад

      Depending on where you live and how much humidity is in the air. If you are using the air conditioner or heater, you may want to use something to keep the products from evaporating.

    She's right and she's wrong about Petroleum Jelly. It's all about the context! If you're using Retin-A or Retinol petroleum jelly works the best especially if you apply it after you shower on your wet cleanse face / Do Not towel dry your face after you get out the shower. Lock that water in with the petroleum jelly. Only at night tho! Because if you apply it in the morning and then add your sunscreen, your sunscreen won't work!

    Question: So would you include moisturizers that contain honey is good? Like Manuka Honey, since Honey is humectant? What do you think? I’m just wondering because I’ve seen honey included in some Moisturizers. And it’s a antibacterial, I think, so would it be good for acneic skin too?

      Hi Linda, I know that for some, honey works well for Eczema.
      Everyone has different skin.
      Honey has sugar so for some , it may cause more break outs.
      This may work for some.
      Its funny that you mention honey for skin care.
      We will be doing a video on that in the Spring! 👍

      Go See Christy reason why I ask about honey, I bought a great hydrating Moisturizer at Ross or TJMaxx that contain honey. And I can’t find it it no more. I loved it. I have dry skin, so I’m always looking for hydrating Moisturizers.

    Hi Christy! I love your videos! I treat them like I'm taking a class. So I have watched this several times, I took notes and there is only one part that I am totally confused by. At the end, when you say the correct way to use Hyaluronic Acid serums, you cleanse, exfoliate (preferably at night), then you say on clean DRY skin you add the serum. You say most serums you have to wait 10 minutes to let them get absorbed. "While skin is still moist, use a spray toner and then again while your face is still wet your going to apply your occlusive agent which is your moisturizer, your lotions or your creams". So here is my confusion. I wash, exfoliate, dry my face, then apply my serums with hyaluronic Acids (I have several light serums that I use) then I wait for 10 min. So do I respray with a toner after 10 minutes and apply my moisturizers, lotions or creams?? Thank you in advance for answering my question! I love your channel and find you really informative and knowledgable. I've already learned so much from watching your channel!

    • @GoSeeChristy
      @GoSeeChristy  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Yolanda, when the serum is simply an HA serum and does NOT have any other antioxidants in it, then you don't have to wait to spray the toner because HA serum are hydrophillic meaning they are attracted to water. So they are going to bind the moisture from the toner . When the serum is an antioxidant such as a vitamin C serum, then you need to apply that on dry skin and wait 10 minutes or so. Then apply the toner and while face is still wet, apply your moisturizer or sunscreen. This is why I highly recommended the toner because this specific toner works to increase the efficacy of anti oxidants.

    • @GoSeeChristy
      @GoSeeChristy  4 года назад

      Yes. BUT you need to add moisture to your skin then use a moisturizer that has some occlusive agent to keep the moisture from dehydrating your skin. Depending on the skin type, some skin types are more sensitive to breaking out when using some oils, silicones or waxes.

      Hello Christy, thanks a million for your reply. Sorry to bug you, but one last question. I have dry skin with big (huge) pores, age 53 and live in a dry city. I formulate my own cream.....Shea butter/Argan oil/Jojoba oil/Almond oil/Rose water/Glycerin/some essential oils. Since Hyaluronic Acid is anti ageing, should I apply on face first, then the cream or can I mix this acid with the cream and apply.🤔. Grateful for your help.

    Oh damn I used to use A&D Lanolin knowing it was an occlusive but misunderstood that it wasnt keeping moisture in but actually out after watching this video. But recently I finally found my lost Hyaluronic acid & Vit C serum after misplacing it so back on that. I do aha and bha peels once every 2 weeks, started back up on my retin-a but currently only using it 1-2 times per week as I havent used retin-a for the last 3 yrs. After watching a few of your videos, is it okay for me to do an Oil Cleansing method with a mix of Jamaican black castor oil and Black seed Oil? Followed by a steam and a wash to remove the oils and then apply my HA&Vit C serum and do a spray of rosewater&Glycerine toner and top that off with a mix of glycerin with aloe vera gel?

      Hi there, first, you must spray the Brightening biopeptide toner. This increases the hydration levels on your skin. Make sure you do this first. If you do not, any hydrating product can end dehydrating your skin even more. Please tell me if your skin is normal ~ oily or normal ~ dry or break out prone. This will help me give you better recommendations.

      @@GoSeeChristy hi Christy, my skin is super dry and not oily nor do I breakout. I don't know the ingredients of the essence toner but diluting it with water will also dilute the hydrating properties. It will also alter the pH of the product. It is not formulated to be used like that. It sounds like you may be using it inncorrectly.

    Which body lotion and face cream can you suggest which has ceramides, fatty acids and cholesterol.
    I am in my 40's. I always had oily hyperpigmented skin but over couple of years my skin has turned dry, dull and v seldom breaks out. I fell itchy quite occasionally. I feel my moisture barrier has been compromised though I don't have any tightness or oiliness.

    • @GoSeeChristy
      @GoSeeChristy  4 года назад +1

      Thank you for watching. The dullness is explained by the build up of dead skin cells so make sure you are exfoliating. Look at the cerave for body lotion. I don't know if it has fragrance or parabens but I would look at that since that seems to have all that is needed. It wasn't a great product but most people don't want to spend a whole lot on their body.

    Hi Christy! My name is Stephanie (on my husband's account). I used Retin A (a super high grade) and started seeing all of my wrinkles worsen esp. on forehead and under eyes (new wrinkles & worsening of exsisting??) Is this reversible? Some people say it gets worse before it gets better, but I stopped all together. I didn't use it for that long. So it is reversible and should I try again with a lower percentage once my skin barrier is restored? Thank you so much for your videos!! You have beautiful skin!

    • @GoSeeChristy

      Hi Stephanie, it is virtually nice to meet you! Thank you so much for watching my videos!
      First, I do want to start off by saying that everyone’s skin responds differently to products which is why I made this video about Retjn A so everyone can make informed decisions on what to use on their skin. Here is the video ruclips.net/video/hpN0E5f5C80/видео.html
      Ultimately, it is up to you to decide if you would like to continue with a different percentage. 😉

    • @JamesPark7
      @JamesPark7 5 лет назад

      Thanks Christy :) I watched that video and was surprised to hear that others had a similar experience despite all of the research touting Retin A as the gold standard. Are the effects reversible? I didn't use it that long so I was surprised to see worse/new wrinkles? :/

    Why can't I use lanolin? These days I've been applying to cleansed, moist skin: DIY 1% HA/rosewater serum, then pure glycerin, then a DIY rosehip/avocado/Vit E face oil, and then lanolin especially around eyes and on lips and sometimes entire face. If I don't do the lanolin, I feel my skin dries out pretty quickly and especially overnight and in drier conditions. Should I not be using it in this way? What's wrong with lanolin?

    • @GoSeeChristy
      @GoSeeChristy  4 года назад +1

      Lanolin is not necessarily bad. Lanolin is basically sheep sebum. It is an occlusive agent that is a waxy substance. This doesn't bring moisture to skin, it just helps seal the moisture in. Over time, this can clog the pores and for some, it can bring on milia. I would recommend an eye cream or gel (depending on your skin type) that has ingredients that help the skin.
