You NEED an expansion chamber for that engine, I also reccomend changing back to the bigger sprocket. With these changes you will not only get better acceleration, but you will hit the engines powerband faster, and you will end up with a lot higher top speed all together.

Discovered your videos while I was looking to see if anyone else had already done some of the ideas I was thinking at the time and have genuinely enjoyed watching these😁 I've since picked up a mini bike myself and have been recording my own series that will be landing in a few weeks time after many delays and setbacks haha😅 but you'll be amused to know I also picked mine up from an equally sketchy place haha😂
To be honest I've probably got some ideas on how you could safely squeeze some more performance out of this yellow bike given my knowledge of engines and the fact I'm also qualified as an Arboriculturalist! Plus I could be interested in doing a collaborative video or two if you're interested? Thought it might be fun anyways🤷♂️😂
Not looking forward to trying to test my bike given we live in a nanny state here in the UK... means you need to have a motorbike licence, road tax, mot, insurance, registration, and to use the bike in the flow of traffic... which frankly is nuts and entirely dangerous, but there you go UK road law logic🙄😅
Hopefully I'll find some private land/roads to test it on to save all that hassle and stay safe/legal💁♂️😅

Its all about your looking to do with it, Most come with the same cheap engines. Personally I'd only go used nowadays to get a deal

@@stabelgapler5396 Buy used and it should never be an issue. You can have them start it up in-front of you. Some may say 'Needs a carb clean' where you'll have to make the call if the price is right

It never really did anything that I could tell for this motor, they're supposed to work well on motorized bike engines
Dylon Desbiens its my hobby to port & modify small 2 stroke engines, and ive noticed boost bottles just take away performance. Makes them run more bland... they only look cool. If you port, reed, or install an expansion pipe you will drastically increase the power of your engine. The pipe alone will feel like a turbo... “that power band”

Dylon Desbiens there’s probably other simpler mods you can do to gain performance. Watercooled is cool because you eliminate the flywheel fan / rotating mass drag. For best performance you want engines that use full circle cranks. Gp460, g320, bzm, polini. I wouldn’t bother converting any non high performance engine.
I have made a 62cc out of the stock engine and it is making allmost the same

I planned to finish the install of the new 4" exhaust system on my pickup today but my wife was sick so I've been Mr. Mom all day. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it tomorrow. The stock pipe size was 3". That's fine for stock power levels... even a stock 454 or a stock diesel. I'm an oddball so I wanted to stick with single exhaust for better scavenging. They make a 4" system for diesels so I snagged one and just have to weld up some 3" pipes between the headers and the front of my dual 3 into single 4 y-pipe. All it took was a mandrel bent 45 and a mandrel bent 90 and some lengths of straight 3" to make it work.
I know it's only 1 inch bigger, but the area inside of a single 4" circle is 12.566. The area inside a single 3" pipe is 7.07. 4 is very close to double the area, plus with the crush bent stock pipe and the mandrel bent 4", I'll bet it is double the area. If you figure 115cfm per square inch, and you need 2.2cfm per hp, single 4" should be in the range of 657hp. The exact hp that my fuel injection is rated for.. with a little help from a planned supercharger. Stock 3" open pipe should only support about 370hp. I was choked up by that little exhaust.
