    Oh ladies, what an eye opener on simulation, many times as I was setting up a panto it would have been so nice to audition before actually quilting. This was a great video. Thank you so much, it was needed. The pro-stitcher program is wonderful, love it.

      Yes, you should have a usb that has all of the designs. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    This was an excellent presentation and answered a lot of my questions. I followed along creating the quilt design on my desktop. I installed ProStitcher Premium on my desktop but can I or should I install PS Connect on my desktop instead?

      @HandiQuilter  Год назад +1

      It is completely up to you which version you want to run. At a future time when additions have been made to the program, it will only be done in Connect so you will eventually want to change over.

    I’ve used simulator alot since I bought my machine in April. It has really helped me learn and feel more confident with the software. However, I have run into a problem actually using my finished quilting design. I am saving the workspace in simulator on my usb but I can’t find them when I take the usb to my ProStitcher tablet. I’m saving them in the root directory of my usb in the workspaces folder. Any ideas why I’m not seeing them on my tablet? TIA for any insight. Love this forum and all the great info you are sharing.

      Make sure that when you are opening it, you are doing File-Workspace-Open. (Most people try doing File-Design-Open).

    Any plan for we Mac users?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  Год назад

      The program is only planned for windows based computers at this time.

      @@HandiQuilter That’s a shame, it shuts out a huge demographic of quilters. Electric Quilt used to be windows only, but they now have a built in emulator so Mac users can participate. They didn’t have to reprogram the entire software, and users don’t have to run things like Boot Camp or partition their hard drive. My techie son said there’s a program called Wine that might work but I cannot attest to its reliability.

    If I have saved my designs and other prostitcher programs on an external drive attached to my computer how do I get simulator to look in that drive for the designs? I also got a red stop sign icon on my taskbar. What is that?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  Год назад

      With it being on a hard drive, I am not positive. The software always looks for the designs in the C: drive. When you go to File>Design>Open, can you change to another drive like when you have a usb???
      The red stop sign is normal. Why it is there, I am not sure.

    So, I get to the Pro-stitcher opening up but is stuck in initializing with a "PsStop" notification. How do I fix this issue?

      Send in a support ticket at prostitcher.com and they should be able to walk you through it.

    Can I do this with a Mac?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  Год назад

      It needs to be a windows based computer to run the program.

    Will you be doing a Video on How to use Simulation in Pro-Stitcher Lite. i have trouble with the Frame Space in the simulation.

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  Год назад

      The video applies to both Premium and Lite. You do not need to set up Frame Space in simulation unless you plan on using the Run button to watch the stitch out.

      How do you set up the Frame Space in simulation if you want to use the Run button to watch the stitch out?@@HandiQuilter

    How do you set up the Frame Space in the Pro-Stitcher Lite Simulation?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  Год назад

      In simulation, you do not need a frame space. The frame space is only needed for the machine to run the stitching.

    It wd be nice if they thru in a few designs for ppl to play with, so they cd try out the prostitcher simulator and learn how it works. For those who don’t already own prostitcher, it wd likely entice them into buying it. But to be able to learn how to work things and get some practice, so that when they buy the program, they already have an idea how to use it.
    Unless, can you draw your own designs in simulator? And can you save them? So that when you do buy prostitcher, you can use the designs you already made?

      There are a few designs that you can download for free to play with in Simulation. There are many websites that sell designs that have free downloads as well!
