When I was in my 20's, I asked my dad why he & my mom had had four children. He grinned, shrugged, and replied "Mental illness'. I bet that Momma Bear feels the same way...

So that's mother bear 402, two of the three cubs did not survive, the remaining one, later given ID 503, had the most unusual childhood:

Don't people realize the stress they put on bears with cubs, especially 3. She's protecting them under extreme current and has to gather them up to take away from people for protection. All I could hear was people talking and shutters gone off. I'm surprised she didn't attack group or false charge you to keep away. Dumb asses.

This was taken at Katmai National Park. The people are on an observation platform built specifically for the purpose of viewing bears.
She isn't gathering them up tot take them away from people. She purposefully brought them there so she could fish, and completely ignores the people.
The reason she had to fish the misbehaving cub out of the waterfall is that he was naughty, and jumped in because he got bored. Then a larger bear charged the cub, and she jumped off the falls, smacked him in the face, and rescued her cub.
After rescuing her cub, she continued to fish, not bothered by the people at all.

Looks to me like you made a bunch of false assumptions and got told off politely even though you were very rude. Maybe you can learn from that.

    • @loverofthearts222

Yes! I was just thinking that too. Alot of people just don't know what's happening. It's not taught until you've studied up on animal behavior. Yes, I was pretty sad watching. The best I can do to explain it is, turn off the sound and really watch, especially the nervousness concerning her surroundings 🙏😢 It doesn't matter that's there's a place for people to view, it was placed way to close. Even on a safari if your a bit to close be quiet. I understand how things looked to the kind gentleman, but that also means he's assuming what happened from a human perspective only. Research is warranted to understand animals.🙏❤️

After spending countless hours learning about bears I’ve realized just how stupid they really are. They have brains the size of peanuts. This momma bear literally waterboarded her babies for no reason. I don’t get what she was doing or what she achieved but I’m willing to bet money if a human so much as looked at one of her cubs she wouldn’t hesitate to rip their head off. All we here about is how protective momma grizzly bears are until you see a clip like this where one nearly drowns its own child because it’s brain is literally the size of a peanut. Your looking at a blood thirsty monster with barley enough brain activity to allow it to move let alone conceive a rational thought.

I’m sorry, I’m on the last day of my covid quarantine and I’ve taken up day drinking. I love bears and I wish them the best. Are they not half retarded tho? I mean seriously, once your realize just how small their brains are you really get the bigger picture of just how stupid grizzly bears are. God did us a favor because if these snarling mutts could form a coherent thought who knows how dangerous they could actually be. You never hear of a grizzly bear walking into a city and causing havoc, it’s always some dumbass who goes into bear country without a gun or bear spray like ole timmy treadright. Imagine if bears put together the idea of exacting their revenge on humans, we’d be fucked. Imagine if they developed a larger brain and learned to hunt as a group like pack animals, we’d be fucked. Thank you for coming to my ted talk and remember to always tell your nearest grizzly bear that it is an idiot. We love it and think that it’s cute and cool but it’s a fucking peanut brain having child waterboarding mouth breathing mutt.
