“Hey! What’re you doing?” “Oh I’m just taking this candy since you’re not stocking shelves.” “Uh I don’t work here, can I have the candy back? I need it for school.” “Don’t lie to me! I know the manager he is my husband.” “No he isn’t.” “Oh why not?” “Because he’s my cousin and has a husband. So you are the liar in this situation ma’am.” “Oh my god don’t you dare bad mouth my hubby!” “Ok by the way ‘you’re husband’ has been standing behind you this whole time.” 😳
As if CB who was so protective of C to the extent of thinking the storyteller was hitting on her when she was serving him would not come back and 'have words with him'. This story is obviously the storyteller's made up wet dream.
You know, with all these "I don't work here" stories, do you think that there's just an epidemic of people who work at stores pretending like they don't just so that they don't have to help customers? I mean, these karens must've gotten the idea from some past experience, should we have another subreddit called "r/yesyoudoworkhere"?
No. I don't believe anyone actually does that because they would be putting their jobs in jeopardy. It's one thing to slack off, it's quite another to lie to a customer on camera, who is likely to report you.
Rowynne Crowley I can believe it’s happened on occasion. I’ve had coworkers who I’m sure would do it if they thought they could get away with it. But certainly it can’t happen very often.
Retelling of stories amongst Karens. One Karen has an experience with an employee, who wasn't quick enough to service them, then this Karen tells the story to one of her Karen friends. When next this Karen tells the story, it's embellished. Just a little. And then the next.. again. Just a little. Just to make sure it actually sounds interesting and relevant. And on and on it goes.
1st story was brilliant, scouted the location and on the day of taking command, fires the worsts employee for all said violations to immediately establish discipline. Sun Tzu would have killed her but the principal is still the same.
1st story, what did she expect was going to happen? That the new manager who saw everything that let her stay? No, not how life works, she more than deserved to be fired.
Some folks just don't believe in karma. Stay and help me. Y'know, that'd be a "no" because as of this minute, I don't work here. Had you been a decent, rational human being, I might have helped out. But I see no particular reason.
That last one. Sounds like my last employer. You were expected to stay AFTER hours to count the drawers and then straighten up the store. She got mad at me for starting early like the other stores at the Mall of America did the one day I needed to be out at the bus by 9:25. The ones in our area started closing at 9:15. We were expected to stay well past the mall's closing at 9:30. We were NOT allowed to kick out potential money. Even though they were there until 9:40. Then we could shut the gate and start on finishing up. No one got paid for that time of working after the store closed for the night.
@@rowynnecrowley1689 It's illegal and it also happens to be the most prolific crime in American. You can write all the laws you want but unless it's enforced it doesn't mean anything.
I really enjoyed all of these. Story 1 strikes a chord in particular as that is a position I once held, before the boss promoted me to a senior post within the group (was only 21 at the time and ended up in charge of staff more than twice my age). Some fond memories. Thanks 👍👍.
I went to college for art and education, wanting to be an art teacher. After my bachelor's degree and before I started a master's program I did some substitute teaching. I HATED it. Hated teaching, even art, which I taught as a long term substitute. Hated kids, hated the bureaucracy, hated getting up at 6am lol. I made more money working on my own noon till 5am sleep schedule selling my own art. It was sweet working self employed till I injured my dominant hand too badly to continue. I can still paint, draw and sculpt soft materials but my passion was sculpting stone. God I miss it.
That 1st girl deserved to be fired, however what OP did was just as unprofessional. She shouldn't have reprimanded & fired her in front of the other employees
Mfkin Wii music in the background. Lmao, I use to play the Wii anywhere from 2-6 hours and I loved every second of it. Just need a replacement sensor bar and I can get back to enjoying the games I had, but yes. That Wii Music had me cracking up
Regarding your description "I know that the name is terrible" -- The channel name is not terrible; it is a simple thing to understand and would be super easy to brand/logo-ize (and the cat is also just fine, for certain), and few people if any have anything similar.. it is perfectly unique and shouldn't be a source of discouragement.. It's great!
So video rental. Manager new . gets told a rumor. Goes in already close mind. Is a customer not the boss. Talks with her. Then first day of boss pulls up tape of when he was a customer and uses it. Kinda of like impeach a private citizen. Then fires in front of everyone embarrassed her scarring her. No warnings. Inputs environment of fear first meeting. Again new boss no warnings . I see what may have contributed to the closing. So I can go into any place as customer mind closed. Then come back say hey its my first day as your boss. Before I couldnt do anything. So first day for your actions when I had no power over you. You are fired. Build back better but let everything go to hell rings true.
They came to all of the essential jobs without masks complaining to the workers about having to wear a mask...standing only inches away from employees, (not 6ft,) complaining about not being able to buy something because the world is out of stock...you know the usual.
Cameras contention dialogue, but they can’t catch all these were not the fences? Perhaps someone higher up should’ve done something sooner with all the camera footage if it was actually real.

Serves her right for lying and not knowing that OP's Cousin was Gay and not straight.
The story about the video store manager was especially satisfying.

@@JoyBoy-tq4bg Gotta agree with you on this one.

Probably had something to do with the 60s and Hippies.
Hippies ruin everything.

Hahaha! Karen makes her BF do her work, dressed like trash and swearing at the customers. How she thought she'd keep her job, I'll never understand.
Let's hope she was just a teenager and will grow up and learn a bit and not 35 lol

Sign out and thirty seconds later your sayin "sorry, I don't work here!"
Nicely done, nicely done indeedy.

people quit mangers and stupidvisors, not jobs.
My fav stories are the ones where they claim to know the owner when speaking to the owner. Id love to hear more of those cuz i listen while at work. 😁

In America you could probably sue for the unpaid money for the hours they didn't pay.
Fair Labor Law says they can't "legally" do that. Do you have any documentation? Fair Labor Law is also supposed to be posted in a prominent location.
What country do you live in. In my country (U.S.), that's illegal as hell.
