  • Jam along with Greatest Metal Tracks Vol. 1, a hard-hitting collection of drum kits and custom layered samples for the TD-27 V-Drums sound module. This professionally curated pack features detailed reproductions of the drum sounds for five iconic songs.
In this video, you’ll hear each of the five premium kits performed by Darby Todd:
    00:00 One Eye Open
    01:05 My DOOM!
    02:07 Chow Mein!
    03:12 R.T.T.H (Run 4 Your Life)
    04:34 Du Musst (es spielen)
    One Eye Open
Modeled on the track “Enter Sandman” by Metallica, as played by Lars Ulrich on the band’s eponymous fifth album (also known as The Black Album).
    My DOOM!
Practice Tomas Haake’s insane kick patterns day and night with this kit inspired by “Bleed” from the album obZen by Meshuggah.
    Chow Mein!
This kit recreates the sound of the drums on System of a Down’s “Chop Suey” from the album Toxicity, as played by John Dolmayan.
    R.T.T.H (Run 4 Your Life)
As classic metal songs go, “Run to The Hills” by Iron Maiden is up there with the best. Originally played by the late Clive Burr on The Number of the Beast-and performed live since 1982 by the charismatic Nicko McBrain-this kit will have you working on fast sixteenths for hours.
    Du Musst (es spielen)
Translated as “you have to play it,” this kit recreates the sound of “Du Hast” by Rammstein, as played by Christoph Schneider on the band’s seminal metal album Sehnsucht.
The module’s expansive onboard editing tools have been used to match the original recordings as closely as possible, including drum and cymbal selection, head types and tuning, overhead mic sounds, room characteristics, studio processing, and more. These drums are designed to sound “just like the record,” making you feel like you’re behind the player’s actual kit while performing live, recording, or jamming at home.

Note: The kits in this collection have been created using the internal TD-27 instruments and editing tools combined with newly developed samples to reinforce certain drum sounds. Because the original recordings are not used within this collection, these kits should be considered as taking inspiration from the original sounds rather than being exact replicas.

I have a idea for a option on a drumset the idea is on the option bit it should have something called my drum kit and you could choose your own sounds to the drum sets and you can save the drum kit you made into a preset (max is 10) and then you could share your presets on the internet and teach people how to do your drumset (reply please to see what you think)😊

Snare is kind of weak and cymbals are monochromatic. Not convinced😢

Apparently No one has ever heard how ACTUAL isolated drum tracks from alot of the famous songs sound!! Youd be suprised how NOT good alot of your favorite drum sounds on songs you like when theyre are isolated from the recordings.. thats the beauty of a great producer and mix! Thats what makes you dummies think the drums actually are sounding incredible! 😂😂 im sorry but roland has it right here.

Bullshit, man. I listen to isolated drums all the time and also have taken college courses in music production. These sounds are dull and sound terrible and as fake as the built in kits. There are FAR better alternatives on the 3rd party market that don't sound like this, and all VSTs sound way better.
I love Roland drums, but their kits are obviously synthesized and fake, and you absolutely have to use custom sounds or VSTs if you want a quality sound from them. How are you seriously going to call everyone else dummies when you are literally just making shit up. You obviously have no experience in music production.

These sound tiny and clearly synthesized - how can BFD, EZD, Superior and other figured it out years ago but Roland didn't?

😮 i was expecting a better and more realistic sound... I belive is a great quaility drum, but the sound is not good... I would rather buy a cheaper e-drum set and a good vst...

Genuinely shocked and disappointed how fake these kits sound. Expect far better of Roland. This is shocking after all these years and development that they’re still not sounding any better than my mesh Roland from 13 years ago. Been considering upgrading for a while but at this moment I’ll be looking at other brands as yeah the Roland plays and feels the nicest but not a lot of point if the sound isn’t there too. Cmon Roland, you can do better

100% agree. This sounds no better than the td6kv I bought in the early 2000s.

@@Shug1145well you see you F*cked up right ? Ya know ya made a MASSIVE mistake there lol 😂 Yamaha should stick to crotch rockets.. and get outta drums.. Roland is still king. I have the VAD507s and the updated TD27 and it's INCREDIBLE. you're making a major mistake making that decision based on Hearing the kit MIMICKING ISOLATED DRUM TRACK sounds from Classic Albums.. you're a dummy no offense but go back and listen to those isolated drums tracks from any of these songs their based on.. and come back and apologize and admit you're wrong k. 😂 Thats alot of Times how SO MANY of songs drums sound.. like EXACTLY!! What you hear in the song all together and what the isolated drum track sounds like are two INCREDIBLY different things!! Like day n night . Most kits actually sound like shit isolated on most songs.. but when mixed and blended with rest of song. You get these classic drum sounds.. do yourself a favor and go listened to the REAL actual drum tracks isolated from any big hit song or any artist we all know. Preferably one from this video so you can see and learn a little something today! Also be very surprised! ( Don't mean to sound like a jerk in anyway BTW if it does!) It's just crazy how surprising it is.. with what you THINK say like for me ( my first favorite drummer when I was young was Joey Jordison 99' self titled album I became a fan! But if I built a kit based on what I THINK his kit sounds like by ear from the songs on that album - then compare it to the actual drums he played and the tones on them.. when listening to the isolated recording of the drum tracks.. it's INSANE how boomy. Or at times completely dry and dead the drums can be.. and very just flat and dry.. but they sound like clicky kick , high & tight snare with great pop on it! But in reality. the kick sounds more like what you'd expect like a 90s grunge band to have just a very bland "Tuh" sound and the snare isn't actually as close to the tone that cuts thru on the mix of the songs! The kit you'll end up making based off ear on the songs would be WAY more clear and bright! With a certain click or attack on the drums! When in reality they're very just dead and not sharp or bright at all!,

The yammy module is way better, but why the hell would you not be syncing with SD3 to begin with? 😂

I'll never understand paying £3.5k for an electronic drum kit. Not many will gig with these, and are really for practice or home use. You'd be better just spending £500 on an e-kit and spending £3k on a really nice acoustic kit

Imagine paying $3,000 for a GM Midi drum kit from the year 2000 😅
