Doom is so overrated, you didnt even aim vertically in the first games and the levels looked like ass. Without Half Life and System Shock 2, FPS games would never be what they are now
Bro doom popularized fps's. There probably wouldn't be a half life without it. And idk, critizing the look on the levels of the first games... is like critizing the look on the first super Mario. Of course it's gonna age too well when it comes to that. Regardless, I find them to be mostly fun still, not like half life or so but not bad
