Extremely nice work with that D42 Martin and nicely complemented by two Taylors! As a Baby Boomer I feel good that you Millenials are carrying on good tunes!
You guys are badass! I especially like that upper harmony part………props to that kid for either having the vocals to hit that, or the balls to sing falsetto on youtube. Either way, GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!! What about the intro….."Fallin in and out of love………"
Hey, dude in the middle... Excellent job on the vocal high harmony! Like the guy below said, I keep coming back to this cover. I've added it to my playlist.
As noted by several others below, the guy on the left wearing shades is playing a vintage Martin guitar that is "to die for". The Martin guitar has a singing tone, a depth and resonance that other guitars simply do not have. It is also a work of art.
You floored me!!!! What a fantastic cover! I've been a fan of the Pure Prairie League since the late 60s. Your instrumentals and harmony gave me chills. Thanks for the major boost to my day...I'm still smiling (and it's beginning to hurt).
To see a cover done…a well done cover…to me…it places the original into the special lofty place it belongs. To watch it done by “real” people…in real time shows how talented one must be to do it…making it worthy of the original. For years to hear it casually played on the radio it becomes in a sense…a “just there” taken-for-granted tune…but, to see it done out in the real world shows what a master work this really is…and the skill that is needed to pull it off well. While the above paragraph is in play…remembering that the tune was originally designed from whole cloth and pulled from out-of-the-blue; sitting in someone’s soul…waiting to be found. Damn. And…these guys are really good.
Your post hit me hard. Because I "grew up" in the era when this and MANY other GREAT songs were created - I often say "Yes, it is a great song, but then again just another one on the AM radio in my 63 Chevy II going to and from High School." That now seems a bit dismissive of the GENIUS I was blessed to witness DAILY! We had the best cars, music and prettiest Ladies!
i will say that homeboy in the middle can OBVIOUSLY belt out those high notes, but for some reason he was nervous or something. Wasn't until about 2:38 that kid kicks into hyperdrive and just bangs those harmonies out.
You guys look like you’re having a good time. This brings me back to a great time and place: Chico, California 1980. Swimming in Bidwell Park throwing back beers and soaking in the music and sunshine. Thank you.
I keep coming back to hear this over and over again ... it is THAT good ! It is PURE to the original ... and it is a PURE celebration. I have to add that the fella in the middle reminded me of someone and it came to me ... one of the characters in the movie "Breaking Away" one of the 'townie' buds.
I often played the original version of this song for my baby son just after he was born. When he got a little older I'd show him these guys to give him a visual with the song. Since then countless times have he and I over the past year watched and loved this great cover.
I heard this song on the way to the office today, on 70's XM radio. I then hit YT, specifically to see if there were any covers to this song, as I like watching videos of covers! This one was absolutely f***ing PISSA!!! EPICALLY pissa! Great work guys! Holy shit!
I thought I was listening to Pure Prairie League. GREAT JOB!!! I sang along and harmonized easily! Bravo to you guys! I don't usually like covers of my favorites. I liked this one...nope, I lOVED it! Thanx!
Robert Lane I saw the Ozark Mountain Daredevils LIVE and thought the same thing. [that year] but... eye still love their work and music disks [no comment at this time abut the dif. tween vinyl and digital; sir]
Killer Cover!!!! I mean, each one- so unique. The one dude's got the leads, dude with vocal, and awesome harmony from dude in center with his back up; and you're all jammin' rhythm guitar, as well.
i'm 55 i had this song on 45 vinyl when i was a kid. that version was coompletely bad ass great job guys! how is it somebody yer ages even knows this tune?!?!?
OMG! You guys are amazing! It warms my heart to see talented young people doing the songs of my own youth so passionately. Takes me back to the mid 1970's when I was playing similar stuff along with a couple of buddies living on the beach down in Florida. Your harmony and your musicianship are amazing. I have no doubt Craig Fuller himself would be totally digging this performance of his song. And as a fellow guitarist who tries to play this song myself, I was worried about the solo, but dude, you totally nailed it on that Martin!
Great harmonies and guitar work. That's one of the all time best cover videos of this classic song. Thanks for posting, I enjoyed singing and playing along.
Been back here a hundred times over the years ... you guys are that good ... I come back for a fix ! This rendition is totally perfect as to the true spirit of the original ! Call me crazy ... but I get a special kick from great covers / interpretations / recreations ! Oh, and LOVE the end / outro ... good to the last note ! This here is PURE music ....
THAT was FANTASTIC! As a lover of the original version, you three did a spectacular job -- great guitar work, very nice voices, terrific harmony ... All I can say is WOW!!!!
Here I sit listening to your great cover of my favorite song from the 70's. 68 years old and this song makes me feel like I'm 16. We got to see Pure Prairie League about a year ago here in Arizona. They were amazing. A little rusty on vocals but the guitars were fantastic. Thanks. I really enjoyed your cover.
Nice job, guys! Amie is really on my top ten list of lists of lists of songs. LOL. So every time I ponder my top ten song, this makes the cut. Additionally, I LOVE local, and/or, amateur talent bringing music to us all. Thanks for this rendition. SOLID!
WOW! I came of age in the 70's and you guys NAILED IT!! I know this video is now 5 yrs old, but I sure hope you are still playing together and would LOVE to hear some original material. VERY impressive. Bless you for reviving very fond memories!
Im 60yrs. Old now still play my 12 string. Seeing this just brought up camping back in the day. Wish we could share a joint and a beer or two thanks. Great rendition guys f'n pissa.
Thanks, guys, for this great cover. Loved you all, thought the lead guitarist was incredible. Never heard anyone his age play so well on acoustic. Keep up the good work, and please send us all a link to more of your stuff!
Had to listen to this over and over. First pos chords, capo 2nd and great finger picking with the Martim. Perfect rhythm and great harmonics. Like an 18 string guitar. Looks like a blast. Looks like you are having a blast. Makes me want to grab my guitar and join in. Best version I've ever heard.
I have been playing weddings, clubs, festivals and every thing else for the past 30 years, I got a real kick out of reading the "critiques". You did fine , I enjoyed listening to you play and sing, as I am sure most people did. Keep on doing what feels good and the people will love it. P.S. Love the Martin
I'm commenting so that every time somebody comments I can come back and listen to this again and again
Man I always come back to this cover. Great guitar work gentlemen.
Zachary McEntire yup

Good job fellas
My daddy used to sing this to me...y’all got me crying over here. It’s one of only 4 good memories I have of him. Great job guys! ❤️
least you have some
@@omikredarhcs8221 don’t need to take the piss, let people enjoy the music and their lives without people like yourself interfering.
I am very picky about covers. That said, EXCELLENT COVER! Seriously, very nice job, guys.
Extremely nice work with that D42 Martin and nicely complemented by two Taylors! As a Baby Boomer I feel good that you Millenials are carrying on good tunes!
Not a D-42 for sure. It looks like an OM--45 (or 42) to me.
You guys are badass! I especially like that upper harmony part………props to that kid for either having the vocals to hit that, or the balls to sing falsetto on youtube. Either way, GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!! What about the intro….."Fallin in and out of love………"
Guy in the middle is amazing.

how can you tell it's vintage?
Those Taylors are pretty effin' nice too.

OMG! I LOVE you!! I named my daughter Amie 24 years ago from this song, Thank you for doing it justice!!
An acoustic guitar has so much soul to it.
8 seconds in and I'm definitely staying!! Awesome job y'all!!
Its so nice seeing young people play the great old songs from my youth!!
yo this is awesome. great rhythm, great leads, great harmonies, you guys really did this song justice.
i will say that homeboy in the middle can OBVIOUSLY belt out those high notes, but for some reason he was nervous or something. Wasn't until about 2:38 that kid kicks into hyperdrive and just bangs those harmonies out.
Excellent cover, so great to see these kids(in their 20's) give so much detail to such an old song(1972). Nice.
You guys look like you’re having a good time. This brings me back to a great time and place: Chico, California 1980. Swimming in Bidwell Park throwing back beers and soaking in the music and sunshine. Thank you.
Bravo! Next, you guys need to to do Seven Bridges Road - Eagles cover.
Great idea!
U guys freaking killed it and eyes seven bridges road

Awesome video! I think this is what music is all about, friends getting together and sharing an awesome song! Great job guys!
I keep coming back to hear this over and over again ... it is THAT good ! It is PURE to the original ... and it is a PURE celebration. I have to add that the fella in the middle reminded me of someone and it came to me ... one of the characters in the movie "Breaking Away" one of the 'townie' buds.
So clean... love the Taylor sound!
This is great. Two dudes on the end just came back from sailing. Middle dude was at hockey practice.

Doing the same thing 4 years later, except it just came to mind on its own. I like covers too, and was hoping to find a decent one just like this 😊
Excellent Job guys. We've been 'slowly' including this wonderful song in our set list. You folks are a great performance to model after.
Guy on the Martin is doing an awesome job.
Which one is named Martin??
Martin is the guy wearing sunglasses.
For sur this is pilky27

Hermits of the Holy Cross hhc that’s a joke right?
Wow! Fantastic cover. I saw Pure Prairie League twice, in Dallas. You did this classic proud.
I thought I was listening to Pure Prairie League. GREAT JOB!!! I sang along and harmonized easily! Bravo to you guys! I don't usually like covers of my favorites. I liked this one...nope, I lOVED it! Thanx!
Still love you guys after playing this over and over again. Are you still playing together? Come to New England so we all can hear you play live!
Good job!
I saw Pure Prairie League in a tent in Aspen back in the early 1980's.
I think you guys are better.
God bless and keep play'n.
Peter Boddie I saw the original PPL open for Badfinger in '71. They stunk
Robert Lane I saw the Ozark Mountain Daredevils LIVE and thought the same thing. [that year] but... eye still love their work and music disks
[no comment at this time abut the dif. tween vinyl and digital; sir]

Killer Cover!!!! I mean, each one- so unique. The one dude's got the leads, dude with vocal, and awesome harmony from dude in center with his back up; and you're all jammin' rhythm guitar, as well.
This cover is spot on. Well done!
This song has been on my play list for years. The sound and energy is amazing. The laugh at the beggining sets the tone of just fun music.
Very good gentlemen. Nailed that down. Sweet Martin too!
i'm 55 i had this song on 45 vinyl when i was a kid. that version was coompletely bad ass great job guys! how is it somebody yer ages even knows this tune?!?!?

For a while, maybe longer if I do!
I just sent this to a German friend who spells her name Aimée, I never saw this double-e spelling. Just the American Amy... :-)
I'm 11 years late to this show - you guys killed it! Hope you're keeping in your playlist
My favorite song cover. I keep coming back to this video every few months over the last few years. We need a 2023 version. 👍🏻

I saw this "unknown band" at My Father's Place in Roslyn, Long Island back in early 1976. You guys do them proud.

I always love a good tenor. Great cover
Those Taylor’s are great but that MARTIN. WOW
What a great job! I was covering this back in the early 80’s. Never sounded this good though. 👏🏻
What a great song....and totally awesome job by these guys!!!
Wow, you guys totally rocked it! I was 15 when the Pure Prairie League blessed our ears with this classic.
Excellent! One of the best covers that I have seen of this song. Well done guys...............
You guys sound fantastic, great job!
Six people are disappointed that they didn't play the whole "Falling In And Out Of Love" suite.
WOW Love the tune guys !!! Great way to help someone with Chords !!! Oh Yea GREAT VOCALS ON THE SONG TOO !!!!!
On point! Great cover, gentlemen. Impressive.
The guy in the sunglasses on the left has a very, very, very expensive Martin guitar and plays it well
Scott Jewitt John Mayer edition I think
Wade Knight the Mayer signature guitar will run you about $3700, but this one looks to be in the $8000ish range
OM-45?
My name is Amy. This song has been special to me my whole life. I’ve listened to it forever, and your version really moved me. Thank you 3 bunches!
A "FABULOUS" rendition!! Just subscribed to your channel.
Excellent guys,love the guitar work******
I swear!... --You fellas just keep getting better and better each time I listen to this! You're really great. Keep up the good work. :-)
Man dark sunglasses guy smokin' that Martin! Great cover of one of my favorite songs.
Wow. I'm a self proclaimed cover critic. This is as good as the original. You guys rock!
This is a great cover guys. Awesome job
I love how they all play it differently but it sounds the exact same. Great job guys!
Fantastic job gentlemen
Don't recall how I found myself here, but damn . . . fine interp!! Thanks for posting, albeit three + years down the road. ~ S ~
Beautiful Danny! Can't wait to jam with you buddy.
