Saw these guys opening for The Black Keys in Newcastle. The venue was near empty and no one seemed to know who they were. It was an amazing experience to be the only one in the audience singing along to The Rat. Long live The Walkmen!
Paul was so cool when I met him a couple years back I decided to buy their CD at their show to support them and to get it signed after the show I met him took a picture and asked for a autograph .. unfortunately i had no pen (greaat) .. but he was kind enough to walk me through the crowd of fans hand in shoulder and walk me to the front desk and ask for a pen to sign my copy.. Id like to see more people like that.
I was the Duke of Earl The Duke of Earl But it couldn't last I was the Pony Express But I ran out of gas Golden dreams Golden dreams All lose their glow I don't need perfection I love the whole Give me a life That needs correction Nobody loves Loves perfection Loneliness Loneliness Will run you through All the kids are laughing I'm laughing too If you want my eyes Take my eyes They're always true If you want my heart Take my heart It's right here for you It's been so long Been so long But I made it through It's been so long Been so long But I made it through It's been so long We'll never leave We can't be beat We can't be beat We'll never leave We can't be beat The world is ours We can't be beat We can't be beat
I'm sitting here quietly after dinner, listening to this album with my headphones on,being treated by one jewel after another and thinking there's nothing else I'd rather be doing...
Dios es tan hermosa esta cancion, que te pone la piel de gallina y te hace escucharla con mas pasion, asi se siente cuando ellos cantan sus canciones..!
The Walkmen has amazed me throughout the years and continues to this day. It first started with Jonathan Fire*eater's Give Me Daughters and The Recoy's Over Your Shoulder. Now look at them, ten years later still producing music that speaks like no other music can and most likely would not get its acknowledgment in the music scene until after there broken up or retire. Im so glad that i met them, and paul signed my guitar. And the new instruments sound great!!
cidden şaşırtıcı, şarkıyla birlikte yorumlarında eski oluşu. bu çok güzel bence, insan yorumları okuyunca geçmişe dönüyor sanki cidden garip ve güzel bir his. şarkı ise cidden çok güzel.
I saw this performed at World Cafe Live in philly a couple weeks back. Everyone harmonized for a sound I never heard from The Walkmen before. It was quite lovely.
arthur beatrice got me thru mine. ( funny that from all the bands and sounds i know , only a certain few had me hreld up and on all that was outside the fuckin walls) peace night clooudz

You've got a nerve!
Rat is better than entirety of black keys catalogue..black keys are terribly overated
Those are the best shows
I was there. Think it was a Sunday and they came on very early. Left after a few Black Keys songs.
@@MrShahid0072absolutely. Black Keys are decent… Walkmen are legendary
I can’t believe one of the most beautiful songs to ever be created only has 439k views

Will run you through
All the kids are laughing
I'm laughing too
If you want my eyes
Take my eyes
They're always true
If you want my heart
Take my heart
It's right here for you
It's been so long
Been so long
But I made it through
It's been so long

But I made it through

We'll never leave
We can't be beat

We'll never leave
We can't be beat
The world is ours
We can't be beat

An absolutely beautiful song. Everything about it is just wonderful. Easily one of their best songs.

Podría reproducirla mil veces seguidas, genial!
The guitarist and his family.
This could have fit perfectly in place on a 1970s Beach Boys record like, say, like Friends. Great band.
Brights my day every time.

So happy to have seen them live before they broke up!

This song is the best cover of Iggy Pop's "Success" I've heard yet. Good job. Great band.

Who Watches the Walkmen?
Only if you feel it's wrong.
And a suggestion: check out Bows + Arrows.

It'll be interesting to see how they arrange this for live performance, given that no one in the band besides Hamilton can really sing.
I like the part where the woman is holding the baby.
^^
Obama 2012!!
Real white person energy
i pressed the dislike button cause the like button was too mainstream.
