Fred is still one of my heroes an one of the best bow men there was I love watching these old tapes of fred an iv read few of his books to if you haven't read one go find one it's so worth it the knowledge fred had an left us as hunter an people will never be forgotten r.i.p fred bear the legend
The legend. Thanks and please post everything you have about Fred Bear. I've seen them all a hundred times and the hair on the back of my neck stands on end every time I watch. Reminds me of my pap.
Makes me wonder about hunting treed critters, dogs were employed thousands of years ago when successful hunting meant using dogs to ensure you ate, few people today hunt to put meat on the table, as far as what we call sport hunting today it doesn't make sense to use dogs, dogs are about harvesting, as far as treed animals go, because what is the sport of shooting arrows at a treed animal until you hit it and it plunges to the ground? Not what I would call a clean kill
