It’s 2023 , and I thought I would take on the onslaught of rewatching the Top 10 videos through out the year. It’s wild to see Joe from 13 years ago. Here’s to many more great years of Top 10 worst and best games
Been awhile since I have played some of the games on the list, so hard to say if I fully agree with them being on the list. I enjoyed Fable 3 and don't think FF 13 should be as high on the list, but even I at the time suppose would have agreed with it being around number 2 at the time of said review lol. Looking back retrospectively I would argue ff13 should have been 10 or so, but also knowing Joe isn't much a JRPG fan I could see him getting angry that Hope won't shut up lol.
I also like to return to these early videos. Wondering if we'll even get 10 game reviews this year, it's all angry impressions and other content these days 😕 Even diablo IV didn't get a full review...

"I want Cryptic to abandon the Star Trek license, so someone else can do a Star Trek MMO the justice that it deserves". 7 years later, Joe would be saying the same thing about EA and the Star Wars license, after the disasters of their 2 Battlefront games.
Yes! That's the point. I saw a more recent video of him pretending to stab a stuffed Sonic and didn't realize that his hatred of free riders began in 2010 until I saw this video.
Man the nostalgia chills...watching this in 2024, over a decade later...one of the few things we still have untouched after RUclips totally destroyed what the site uses to be just wide open for anyone to say anything...the good old days man
@@omegasrevenge FFXIV A Realm Reborn came out when WoW was at its all time low, during Warlords of Draenor. WoW at that time had fuck all content, if you weren't raiding then there was no point playing and staying subbed. This was the cut-off point, game lost 50% of its subs and Blizzard stopped annoucing sub counts since then.
I disagree on Final Fantasy XIII. It had issues but I liked the story, loved the music, the sublime art style and CG, and the battle system. What it needed most was interactive towns with shops, as well as more freedom to move around in general. I also felt that the sense of connection to the ground when running around was poor, like in a great many JRPGs. I would have liked to have seen the game designed differently in some respects, but in the Top 10 Worst of 2010? Definitely not to me. But I am interested in other perspectives.
I usually agree with Joe's opinion but in here he's completely WRONG: FF XIII worse than fable 3? It shouldn't even BE on the worse list. The only "bad" things about it are, like you said, the lack of towns and freedom to move around (extremely linear game). Shame on you, old Joe, shame on you.
I paid $80 for Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and I don't regret it. That game is splendid in so many ways, and it wasn't given its due, I think. I know a lot of people hated the English track, but I actually liked it.
Great channel I watch it all the time because the show is really funny but also very informative. I did not know which other video to try and post my question so I hope it is ok. My question is if you have heard of the Darksiders series? The series does borrows alot of concepts from other games but makes the ideas fresh and entertaining. It would be cool to see your thoughts of the series.
8 years later. Huh. So, anyways, AJ mentioned Sekiro being incredibly good. Put it on his top 10 list of 2019 at 2nd place, I think. I think he could review Elden Ring.
Are you fucking kidding? How is FFXIII that bad? Definitely NOT the one of the worst games of 2010, but more like it's a bit of a disappointment, Joe. Especially to the FF7 fanboys who wanted it to be like FF7 for some reason. Have you ever played the other games in the franchise? Like at all aside from FFXIII?
I agree with him, FFXIII was really really bad imo, the characters feel so forced on you and bland and generic, the combat is really boring that you can't deal with the random encounters for more than 3 hours, it does have some cool things but they aren't enough to cover up. keep in mind i've played every FF game and i think 14 is WAY worse than 13.
Fuck off. FF13 was the worst entry in FF franchise up to date, even girly shit like FF X-2 was better, more open, more FUN and provided more gameplay and actual game than this piece of shit.
FF13 is the equivalent of putting a moldy turd in a box and charging $60 for the privilege. But hey, if you like playing completely linear games with a plot full of holes then more the power to you.
***** Im not even counting that shitty mobile turd as a FF game. And while that was cheap shot at trying to have quick cash in, FFXIII was supposed to be a proper FF game and was a complete SHIT. Ffs, i played every other FF and more or less liked each one, and i still have to finish XIII even tho i bought it more than 2 years ago. And i have absolutely no desire to even see that fucking lame ass excuse of a game.
Final Fantasy 13 was a good game. But many people didn't like it, because it was too hard(end game hunts). From what I seen of Angry Joe, he has average gamer skill. I'm not suprised he didn't like it(LOL).
"You open your inventory, and then some animal beats the shit out of you, which spins you around, then you don't know where you're going, and you've got to do it all over again!" Hahahahaha
Never realized how dark of a year this was for Square Enix. Heck, I'm willing to bet that there are some out there who still haven't forgiven them for this year. Only games I can think of that came out in 2010 that were anything special were, Nier, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Tomb Raider Guardian of Light. In a year of two mainline Final Fantasy's, that's really sad.
Yea 13 was so generic. The characters were awful. And names were cliche like "lightning". My biggest problem was the Auto fighting. I do remember after like 6 hours u got to finally fight normal but by then the game sucked.
dj waters22 haha that "50 hour mark untill it gets good" is a myth created by online reputation management, cause they knew no one in their right mind could play it for that long.
dj waters22 i play ff since playstation one and i don't understand the hate towards ff 13. It's as linear as ff 10 (and 13 has better voice acting). Characters are kinda cliche, granted. But ff were always aimed towards a young audience. they were "cliche-y" since ff 7. battle system is not as good as others, i agree. but it was thought-out towards fast combats. and they achieve it: enemies with millions of hp go down in less than twenty minutes. Story is good. Compared to others RPGs, like Skyrim, it's not that good. But to others FF, it's different. It lives up to its title. Its a FF.
The things I don't get for the hate towards FFXIII are : 1)People complain that is linear while X is even more linear and people LOVE it 2)People bitch about the characters, especially lightning while she is a clone of Cloud, whom once again people LOVE The only reason I believe that is behind the hate is probably fans worrying that the series will leave it's roots of turned based combat to full action gameplay(which well already happened in XV and people don't say shit about it) or well the fact that it wasn't as good as previous titles. But if you like X for more than it's story you have no right to complain about XIII
I know I'm late to the party but it's not a total coincidence. RUclips algorithm is quite sophisticated at getting people to watch more and more content from different channels
FFXIII's story is good on overall delivery and pacing, but some of the character development is very "what" with Hope, Fang, and Vanille. It distracts from the story's silliness with immersion, and with combat that's more intense than most action RPGs, the connect with the characters form fighting WITH them instead of THROUGH them. The linearity is justified because the game is brutally difficult 1. the moment it stops guiding players and 2. if players don't know what they're doing by then. But, the linearity hurts on a second playthrough when one knows what they're doing, and a story that's "good enough" doesn't cut it when that magic of making the first connect by figuring things out is gone. On the first run it's good, on the second run it's okay, kind of like Sword Art Online.
The story is about the characters trying to figure out what to do, and a simple personality =/= no personality. The game was also designed to prevent facerolling via overleveling.
The end of the story does make it look like the character's were playing into Barth's/Orphan's hands, yeah. The characters had their motivations, trying to figure out the focus is the problem. The only time a character could be anything was at the post-game, but some characters are better at some roles than others. And yeah, I sometimes enjoy a game I can't faceroll. Like I said, the linearity makes a second playthrough hard, but it's not a problem on the first run. But I think we've both been on the Internet long enough to know where this goes.
Two Worlds had a few fun moments, especially the cooperative multiplayer, killing entire towns in co-op mode over and over and seeing how fast you can overwhelm the guards while leveling their own weapons with copies from their next corpses after reloading the area XD
I'm really sorry that Final Fantasy XIII was your introduction to the series. That game is crap along with its 2 sequels. It's a really, really bad game in an otherwise excellent series.
yo jack what u sayin man ff7 was the perfect apox of jrpgs lul seriously tho, lightning is a far better character than cloud, ff7's story is far more non-sensical
I personally really liked Final Fantasy 13. Sure the linearity and sloppy plot were both boring, but I am the kind of gamer who can patiently sit through linearity as long as it opens up at some point. When I finally got to Gran Pulse, I actually started really enjoying the game, especially with the Cie'th stone missions. The combat can feel disengaging because of the auto-battle, but I just changed the settings to make the cursor always appear on abilities, and it actually made it feel more strategic. Lastly, what I enjoyed most about the game were it's great graphics and awesome visuals and Lightning's bad ass character design, I sometimes even stopped in the middle of a level just to stare at the beautiful background art. Say to me what you want, FF13 to me was worth my money.
Nope it’s a bad game and chapter 11 is overrated it has nothing but enemies and grinding and I just gonna walk long distance I know this comment is 3 years old but I just saw this list of angry joe
Lord Baldomero Oh my god, just calm down already. If Square Enix sucks **** because of the creation of Final Fantasy in your opinion, then don't pay any attention to the company. You don't need to come onto these videos and act like the Westboro Baptist Church saying that others opinions are wrong and calling them by hurtful names and titles. I just picked up FFXIII to see if I'll enjoy it or not and guess what I enjoyed it. It's like COD. If you enjoy it, you end up getting attacked relentlessly by people who say the game is s*** and will eventually send you threats of violence. Just stop attacking people and saying their "People who will buy any pile of s*** vaguely related to FF"
Eric Cartman Why is it that enjoying a game a crime? People will enjoy games that you hate. It would just be like someone saying that South Park sucks ass and you should get publicly humiliate if you do like it.
I liked 13 better then the two sequels and I don't get what's wrong with Fable I thought it was fine only part I didn't like was Waltar dying at the end
Motomu Toriyama is essentially the Japanese George Lucas. There are parts of the development process where they both shine, but put either of them in the director's chair and they break everything they touch.
I played Final Fantasy XIII all the way through and it does not get better the longer you play. The poor excuse for an explorable map at the end is when you get down to Gran Pulse. But its basically one location slightly bigger than the normal maps you went through before. I really hope Final Fantasy XV will redeem the franchise.
Well, ff15 was going to be 13 verses. but the developers decided (rightly so) that 13 sucked and instead chose to rip off Kingdom Hearts' excellent gameplay and make it have nothing to do with 13. So let's keep our fingers crossed that we can finally get a Final Fantasy that doesn't insult its players' intelligence, and that all fans of the series can be proud of.
did you know that the one of the battle directors worked on final fantasy 7 battle combat and also one of the main people to create Kingdom Hearts and now working on the on-going development of Final Fantasy 15?
Versus XIII had always the same gameplay, it is in fact made by the same people that made Kingdom Hearts. And while Square did change the games name, it is still part of the same Fabula Nova Crystallis sub-franchise. Keep your facts straight.
I loved Alpha Protocol on PS3, i didnt have these problems either. It ran smoothly, at higher difficulties enemies were moderately difficult and the story was great. I pray for a sequel.
+Undead Assassin I loved the game too. When he said alpha protocol I yelled "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!" but then I remembered how amazingly bad it was. I still loved it!
If there was a fable 4 I would still get it but if that struck out I WOULD NOT touch another fable game again because I have heard that fable's 1 and 2 were pretty good.
Fable Lost Chapters: Really fun! I had so much fun with this game. Fable 2: I had at least as much fun with this game as well. Played it for hours with my brother. Fable 3: No. Fable The Journey: Didn't even touch it. I really hope they don't mess up Fable Legends.
10.) Risen 9.) Napoleon: Total War 8.) Alpha Protocol 7.) Iron Man 2 6.) Final Fantasy XIV Online 5.) Star Trek Online 4.) Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days 3.) Fable III 2.) Final Fantasy XIII 1.) Sonic Free Riders
Not gonna lie, Final Fantasy XIV has improved so much since it's original release and even re-release. Gonna have to admit it's become one of my favourite MMOs with Stormblood
Giant difference between somewhat linear and unironic hallways that game uses a lot. Mixed with a poorly told story, really shallow combat that doesn't punish the player from abusing auto-battle, plot holes galore in its writing, maybe two characters that aren't insufferable and a job leveling system that is also a literal hallway. Plenty of reasons i have just given on how a lot of people hate this game. If you still don't get the hate, that's your problem.
Final Fantasy 13 wasn't as bad as many people think. It really just takes patience to actually play it. I like the battle style and loved the storyline.
16:45 This is why Xenoblade Chronicles is such a fantastic game. 45 hours in, it just gets better. It doesn't get good, because it's already fantastic at the 45 hour mark.
No, no, no, you're so not putting FFXIII on this list. It's not the best Final Fantasy, but I guarantee that the story, characters, graphic and music definitely live up to its title. Even its sequels are quite good. Angry Joe and Spoony are way too abusive and picky towards this game, which has a ton of effort put into it for us. You have the right to dislike it, but you can't be so unfair towards it and say something like the makers didn't try impressing us. How ungrateful.
JTL D Well you can't deny AJ and Spoony are right about FF13 and bring up a lot of good points that shows why the game is so bad since FF13 went in a direction it never should have went.
solidvipersnake But in terms of story and characters, I did find it better than Final Fantasy 8 and 12. Final Fantasy has always been mainly about the story and characters than the gameplay.
JTL D Past FF games were known to tell good stories and that's what it is famous for but also had fun gameplay that helped to make it better. FF series can tell good stories but what's also just as important is to make the game fun... Then you have games Like FF13 that was not close to being fun, it was boring as hell and that's story and gameplay, The story is an atrocious mess and the gameplay was monotonous and dumb down and made very simple for noobs that never played a JRPG in their life to the point where the game plays itself. You see whenever someone wants to play a game it's to have fun not be bored out of their mind that it will drive you batshit insane that it will make you want to turn off the game console or put on another game. hell i know people that told me that they never even bothered to finish FF13 because it was boring and believe me that isn't good if the game so boring that people never bothered to complete the play through. Another big issue in the game is the way the story is being told, nothing is explained, you literally have read a book every single time whenever there is something you don't know about because the writer won't explain it, he expects you to just roll with whatever garbage he throws into the story and this happens pretty much all the time.. holy christ Toriyama show don't tell. Another good point Spoony brought up that nobody for some weird reason never asked about. what in the actual fuck is a Crystarium? In most Final Fantasy games everybody knows stuff like Materia, Juction, Magik, Magic and Trance is, it's explained and everyone knows it exists and use it for good or evil. but the Crystarium is never once defined, mentioned or explained and nobody doesn't seem to know it exists. It seriously baffles me and blows my mind that people actually love this game and will try to defend it, how can you defend it when a lot of people actually bring up factual problems the game has and still see it as a masterpiece? that's like saying you love Sonic 06... What Sonic 06 means to a lot of Sonic fans is what FF13 means to me, FF13 is the Sonic 06 of Final Fantasy.
solidvipersnake I completely understand where you're coming from and I understand why other people wouldn't like it and maybe they could have at least kept the original gameplay formula, but no story is perfect nowadays. I also understand that it's very hard to make up a great story and character set that are super good and completely different from each other in the Final Fantasy series, especially since so many other stories have already been made that it's really to extremely hard to be fully original with new ideas for almost every new story now. Of course it's not the best Final Fantasy, but it was still good enough and had enough positives for most of us to play through and enjoy. And besides, at least the makers of this game tried to impress us fans.
JTL D Coming up with original ideas is tricky, I can get that but that is no excuse why the story had to be written so badly where not a single thing is explained but only through data logs nobody is likely never to read. Not only did FF13 take out alot of everything that makes FF good in the first place along with removing the player but it's like they even removed the basic rules of story telling, you don't write stories and leave your audience in the dark. Who exactly are they trying to impress? The fans? here's a news flash, fans of SE and i mean the large majority of the fanbase were not impressed with FF13 and SE is aware of this so it really doesn't make sense why they would make two more sequels to a game that everyone was unhappy with, you don't do that... two more sequels and people still were unhappy with the trilogy especially LR. Yeah sure SE was trying to impress us with FF13 but failed since FF13 was made to appeal to a western audience that they know very little about by making down grades and dumbing down the gameplay and that to me is telling me that SE thinks their fanbase in the west are all idiots and when there are people saying they like the game and go out of their way to defend it, their only proving SE right about them and being part of the problem of why we won't ever good old school style FF game again. And another issue i forgot to mention about the game is the soundtrack is very forgettable and not only that but they even removed FF's trademark themes you hear in every game, no prelude or victory theme... it's gone.
What was the music Joe used at the broom sweeping scene for Risen? I recognize it, like it's from Guild Wars or Elder Scrolls. Or is it just from Risen?
How the hell did Square go from a masterpiece (Final Fantasy X) to a game I forced myself to play before quitting in a mere 19 hours. An amazing story was in X and lacking in XIV. Combat is confusing as all hell now, a newbie to X can pick-up combat talent in 1 session, while I was struggling after more than 100. For all I know, everyone now doesn't specialize in taking down certain fiends anymore, when in X, Auron took down land tank fiends, Wakka takes light flying fiends, Your character takes small land fiends, Yuna takes all with summons (I find tank flyers weaker with Yuna) Lulu takes elementals, Rikku blows sh*t up, and Khimari is a support/tank. Seriously, Final Fantasy used to be awesome, guess the devs either got lucky on their past FF's, or the franchise overstayed it's welcome.
I'll answer the question of why FF13 is AMAZING after 50 hours of gameplay.... It's cause you beat the game after 50 hours and you can finally be free of this game! It tricked me into liking the game for about 20 hours because I am a devoted FF fan and I really tried to like it but the fighting becomes so EXHAUSTING and just a waste of time. Then in the final boss area all the monsters are so freaking above your skill level that you just avoid everything like having 8 exploding Bomb monsters all at once!!! UGH the entire game was so terrible.... stay clear or face boredom, anger and exhaustion!
I don't understand why a lot of people hate on Final Fantasy 13? I've watched my Girlfriend play through 13, 13 part 2 and even Lightning Returns and she enjoys every one of those games and has no problems with it. I just think it's harshly judged and there are much worse games out there that are even unplayable.
Totally agree. What I say is if it wasn't a Final Fantasy game it would have been recieved better. I hated it at first too. Played it 2 months later after the shock and loved it.
Augh, I'm the only one that absolutely loved Final Fantasy 13! It's really not that bad... the linear section was interesting for me just as much as when it opened up later in the game!
I actually will agree there. 13-2 was even better than the first game and I'm, like, so friggin hyped for XV, the one with Noctis. By the way the Fabula Nova Crystalis thing refers to the entire mythos of 13, 13-2, and the upcoming 15, since they all share the same mythology.
Better to give the audience something more linear than just saying "Go to Edgar's tower now!" When you have no idea where you are and what's going on. Btw I don't hate FFVI. FFXIII could've done better. Yes, but it does not mean you can beat it up like a helpless four year old!
Lord Baldomero Well, isn't that rude! It's fine if you disagree, but there's no need to be such an ass about it. Second of all, video games are meant to be an experience, therefore they can speak to a person in different ways. If you like your Skyrim and Grand Theft Auto, go ahead and enjoy it. I'm certainly not about to put you down and call you names for liking GTA even though I don't. I like my Linear Express games like XIII because I like relaxing and enjoying a good story with characters that I find very likable. I didn't mind being herded through a straight "hallway" because I genuinely liked the sights and story in that "hallway" and was eager to see what was at the end. Besides, the game eventually opened up anyways, which was fine too. You don't have to agree, but the least you can do is be a decent human being and not feel the need to kick and scream and hurl childish insults at people for having a different opinion than you.
The *Fable* franchise was always referred to as the "Elder Scrolls killer". Oh how they were wrong... "Mai'q has heard of many fables, but has yet to hear one that is actually good." - Mai'q The Liar

Shame on you, old Joe, shame on you.
masterxlr so I can say your opinion is wrong because you like the game and I dislike the game?
I paid $80 for Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and I don't regret it. That game is splendid in so many ways, and it wasn't given its due, I think. I know a lot of people hated the English track, but I actually liked it.
"into 2012! Won't we be all dead by then?"
LMAO that joke went over my head when I first watched this in 2011 XD
Who’s watching AngryJoe’s classic top ten games of said year in 2023
Great channel I watch it all the time because the show is really funny but also very informative. I did not know which other video to try and post my question so I hope it is ok. My question is if you have heard of the Darksiders series? The series does borrows alot of concepts from other games but makes the ideas fresh and entertaining. It would be cool to see your thoughts of the series.
2010 was already 7 years ago....... shit I feel old.
This comment is 6 years old. How do you feel now?
10 years later. Still shitty games. Nothing has been learned. Except for loot boxes and micro transactions.
In the year of 360p. :) Love seeing the evolution. Nice to see Joe still going strong or stronger!
Joe!
Bring back the explosionsound for your intro when you'll make your list about the Top 10 Worst Games of 2023.!
Please!
Watching this in 2024 😂😂
"To make Fable the greatest RPG"
I nearly spit out my drink at that
This developer does realize that the Elder Scrolls exists right?
I come back to old AJ episodes just to have a good laugh every now and then. Date 11-10-2024
I wish Angry Joe had reviewed Dark Souls. Now THAT would have been quite a video.
In a year of two mainline Final Fantasy's, that's really sad.
anyone come here just to see sonic freeriders on this list?
ff 13 was for sure a piece of TRASH. And thats from a FF fanboy.
That's not saying much. Most FF fans HATE 13 and for good reason.
But ff were always aimed towards a young audience. they were "cliche-y" since ff 7. battle system is not as good as others, i agree. but it was
thought-out towards fast combats. and they achieve it: enemies with millions of hp go down in less than twenty minutes. Story is good.
Compared to others RPGs, like Skyrim, it's not that good. But to others FF, it's different. It lives up to its title. Its a FF.
The things I don't get for the hate towards FFXIII are :
1)People complain that is linear while X is even more linear and people LOVE it
2)People bitch about the characters, especially lightning while she is a clone of Cloud, whom once again people LOVE
The only reason I believe that is behind the hate is probably fans worrying that the series will leave it's roots of turned based combat to full action gameplay(which well already happened in XV and people don't say shit about it) or well the fact that it wasn't as good as previous titles. But if you like X for more than it's story you have no right to complain about XIII
The question is - how the hell was Kane & Lynch 2 and Fable below FF...
this video got flagged, then unflagged
huh, I searched Minecraft review and this was first video that came out, Minecraft isn't even in the video.
too xD
+zartex krontaculys i searched for darksiders review and this was first . :D
SV Team you know sometimes I really wonder if RUclips's search actually works and doesn't just choose any random video.......this is one.
***** WOW REALLY?!?! WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!! XD
It's a really, really bad game in an otherwise excellent series.
i really liked final fantasy i played every other final fantasy game but i liked 13 better than 7
yo jack what u sayin man ff7 was the perfect apox of jrpgs lul
seriously tho, lightning is a far better character than cloud, ff7's story is far more non-sensical
Mark Duckworth
C'mon mate, go read a book once in a while.
Joel Monteiro lolwut?
Say to me what you want, FF13 to me was worth my money.
glad someone enjoyed it. (I personally am not an FF fan). That being said, enjoy what you like.
Nope it’s a bad game and chapter 11 is overrated it has nothing but enemies and grinding and I just gonna walk long distance I know this comment is 3 years old but I just saw this list of angry joe
I looked up Angry Joe Team Fortress 2, and this is what I found. Meh, ok.
*P.S. I am writing this just as I started the video*
I typerd up AngryJoeShow tf2 and this is what came up. I genuinely thought he'd put tf2 on the list.
same here
Same here.
+Alexei Lozada (GamingFTW) for me it was halo wars...
+Alex Forsyth same here
Another Xmas, another AJ Worst Games List Rerun
Alpha Protocol had a ton of problems, but the dialog systems made me love it. I played it through probably five or six times.
Am I the only one who likes the ff13 trilogy?
Lord Baldomero
Well, it's personal preference. You like certain games and so do we.
Lord Baldomero
Oh my god, just calm down already.
I loved the FF13 Series with a passion but FF13-2 was so bad in my opinion but hey FF13 and Lightning returns was really good in my OPINION!
*****
Who cares? Those games sucks ass
Eric Cartman Why is it that enjoying a game a crime? People will enjoy games that you hate. It would just be like someone saying that South Park sucks ass and you should get publicly humiliate if you do like it.
Really joe, FFXIII, a game that was perfectly functional, was worse than games that were broken, poorly programmed, and just unplayable.
f1s53r Xenoverse 2
I liked 13 better then the two sequels and I don't get what's wrong with Fable I thought it was fine only part I didn't like was Waltar dying at the end
f1s53r Nah fuck that game. I prefer Tactics over that FF any day of the week.
Motomu Toriyama is essentially the Japanese George Lucas. There are parts of the development process where they both shine, but put either of them in the director's chair and they break everything they touch.
He needs to go and stop writing as well he wrote all 3 games actually don't forget he destroyed parasite eve
10 years later and I’m still here… wow
I played Final Fantasy XIII all the way through and it does not get better the longer you play. The poor excuse for an explorable map at the end is when you get down to Gran Pulse. But its basically one location slightly bigger than the normal maps you went through before. I really hope Final Fantasy XV will redeem the franchise.
Man, this was 6 / 7 years ago. Damn time has gone fast.
And here we are in 2024😂
Well, ff15 was going to be 13 verses. but the developers decided (rightly so) that 13 sucked and instead chose to rip off Kingdom Hearts' excellent gameplay and make it have nothing to do with 13.
Man this is such a throwback 😢
Wish Sega didn't rush obsidian still pissed that Chris Avellone is gone :(
If there was a fable 4 I would still get it but if that struck out I WOULD NOT touch another fable game again because I have heard that fable's 1 and 2 were pretty good.
If a guy says hes going to create the greatest role playing game multiple times he doesn't what hes talking about
Hey guys did you see it? Hehe
10.) Risen
9.) Napoleon: Total War
8.) Alpha Protocol
7.) Iron Man 2
6.) Final Fantasy XIV Online
5.) Star Trek Online
4.) Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
3.) Fable III
2.) Final Fantasy XIII
1.) Sonic Free Riders
What's the theme he plays at 17:15? I'm dying to know!!!
I am a huge Final Fantasy fan I grew up with this games but I have to say I agree with angry Joe Final Fantasy XIII was a disappointment to me
Not gonna lie, Final Fantasy XIV has improved so much since it's original release and even re-release. Gonna have to admit it's become one of my favourite MMOs with Stormblood
Who's here from the ff7r review
Rewatching these lists is an annual tradition…I might have said that last years as well. All, well. Happy 2036 everyone!!
XD So Ironic he says that we'll never remember Risen yet each risen on every list after this.
wow, going back to the first video i ever saw of angry joe is crazy! super nostalgic now haha.
i had fun with ff13. i just dont get all the hate, yeah it was linear but that didn't bother me at all, since i think most ff are somewhat linear.
Rewatching this after like 10-11 years. I was like 10 back then. A lot of nostalgia.
I, no, we, returned to watch this piece of history!
Yep, it is amazing what you find after a few whiskies :) Started gaming back in the 70's. It's interesting to see how far he has progressed.
Still love the Show, but I miss this Joe at the same time :)
8:39 I guess you could say you were...
wait for it
KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-ed
Vintage angry joe content
This was fucking 5 years ago? Joe has not changed one bit.
Just watched Worst games of 2018, nice to go back and see what were the worst games years ago in 360p quality =)
And another issue i forgot to mention about the game is the soundtrack is very forgettable and not only that but they even removed FF's trademark themes you hear in every game, no prelude or victory theme... it's gone.
15:25 idk he seemed really excited when Fable 4 was announced
I typed in "minecraft review angry joe" and i got this....why?
+Jack Cline Because he doesn't have a minecraft review so the search just generally got you angry joe vidoes
+Jack Cline Because minecraft is more than/equal to a bad game.
For all I know, everyone now doesn't specialize in taking down certain fiends anymore, when in X,
Auron took down land tank fiends, Wakka takes light flying fiends, Your character takes small land fiends, Yuna takes all with summons (I find tank flyers weaker with Yuna) Lulu takes elementals, Rikku blows sh*t up, and Khimari is a support/tank.
Seriously, Final Fantasy used to be awesome, guess the devs either got lucky on their past FF's, or the franchise overstayed it's welcome.
***** Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Still it deserved a little more credit than this new crap.
***** I demand FF VII back, who's with me?
its funny how many of the games on these worst top 10s have ended up as monthly free games for xbox gold...
I'm so happy FFXIII was on the list that game was a piece of shit
Final fantasy 13 is okay, but can get really boring quickly
Master Joe I am have to report I have destroyed 100 copies of this game
Who's watching in 2019?
I searched angry joe team fortress 2 and got here.
I'm scared.
Ten years strong joe
everyone dont kill me but i loved fable 3
From all this games Fable 3 was great !!!
***** Nice one. +1
Better to give the audience something more linear than just saying
"Go to Edgar's tower now!"
When you have no idea where you are and what's going on.
Final Fantasy 14 online was such a disaster.
Fast forward to now and A Realm Reborn is one of the best MMO games out there.
Anyone in 2017?
Yeah :)
WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE SONG THAT STARTS AT 17:16 AND ENDS AT 17:34 PLEASE TELL ME
cryptic still fucking up star trek
Why wasn't Metroid Other M on this list?
He didn't play it and it wasn't as bad as these games it was really just a disappointment.
I bet he is happy nintendo bought sonic.
Simon Franklin Of course Other M is that bad. But now that I know that Joe doesn't play Nintendo platforms, I'll accept it.
Well i dont know. OHH!! mAYBE ITS BECAUSE THAT METROID OTHER M DOESNT SUCK
Marko Radokicik Yes it does.
Final fantasy 14 is so amazing now
Now...
The *Fable* franchise was always referred to as the "Elder Scrolls killer". Oh how they were wrong...
"Mai'q has heard of many fables, but has yet to hear one that is actually good." - Mai'q The Liar
