I love how last night I told my brother “idk what to play anymore, I’m inna spot of oblivion where I don’t have anymore quests to do other than shivering isles and don’t feel like googling every single quest left to do” and then found this uploaded 20 mins ago. Awesome
I vaguely remember another hidden quest in the caverns underneath Kavatch. There's a little farmhouse nearby with notes about the monster that lives in the caves. Great video, keep it up
I love how for the first hidden quest, the wizard tracked down the thief all the way up into the mountains, essentially killed him, but then decided going down into the valley to retrieve his ring was too much effort.
he likely didnt really care about the ring (its not that amazing, really), he just wanted to deal with the person who thought they could get away from stealing from him.
Uderfrykte first appeared in Bloodmoon Morrowind expansion, it was a troll with total element and normal weapon immunity swinging severed nord leg as a club associated with a quest. It also appeared in Skyrim, but doesn't have a specific quest related, it just happen to be there during one Dark Brotherhood quests. Oblivion's Uderfrykte Matron is notorious of breaking it's own shader - I had it completely invisible, my friend had it appear as it should (transcludent ice shader) and for some people it looks like normal troll because the shader won't load properly.
Mazoga happened to be in one of the caves when I was hunting for magick armor. She died and I took her glass great sword, enchanted it and named it “Knight’s Honor”. She was a good friend, it was a shame losing her.
Aside from these, there are also piles of gems and coins, laid out in patterns on some of the outside walls of forts. Fort Farragut is the easiest. Climb to the top, jump over to the outside of the wall and shimmy counter clockwise along the wall. You’ll come to a load of septims, laid out in a rectangle. There are two or three others but I can’t remember them off the top of my head.
Rockmilk Cave is my favorite dungeon. It has bandits and marauders fighting each other, it's chaotic, there's a ton of loot (light and heavy armor), and you can get paid extra by the Count for the black bows you collect. It's my go-to way to make money, and it usually involves multiple trips back and forth between the cave and my blacksmith of choice to profit off of everything you collect. And on certain days, you can find Mazoga there laying waste to bandits.
The reason why Erandur-Vangaril is so easy is because he only has 15 health. Standard liches have 15 times the player's health, so I think someone at Bethesda forgot to check a box in the Construction Kit. It's a bit ironic that you need to be such a high level to fight him, but by that point you can easily one-shot him.
I can absolutely see a dev putting "total 15" into the health are instead of "player x15" Don't know how their tools look, but I would assume there is a field where they enter a value and then perhaps a bunch of checkboxes, including one that puts the value relative to the player, not as total value itself.
The uderfrykt matron ( i think that is it) is the mother of another one in morrowind: bloodmoon which the mission was a reference to beowulf you even find a severed limb on it's corpse
If only the engine was perfected more to have psychic attacks on the player the more they kill the mutated Hackdirt. Remember; Gods are real and more emotional than children entering puberty.

The Oblivion Players Guide is actually pretty fun read the way the writer wrote it. Like the Black Bow bandits one is called Fun with Black Bow Bandits and they just have some funny ways of describing doing a lot of the quests.
One of my favorite parts was in the "Corruption and Conscience" quest (In which you're tasked with exposing Ulrich Leland as being obnoxiously corrupt); when the quest gets to the point where Llevana Nedaren asks you to bring Ulrich to her so she can kill him, your journal entry recommends going to Garrus Darelliun to take down Ulrich through less violent means. However, the game guide straight up says, "Your journal's not the boss of you", and, "Sometimes it can be fun to make bad things happen to bad people." And then goes on to describe what to do to in order to get Ulrich killed.

Attack on Fort Sutch is actually leftover data from an early aspect of the game. Originally; Sutch was not just supposed to be some random fort with a Dark Brotherhood Quest attached to it. It was supposed to be an entire city, with it's own population and the like. Odds are when they scrapped it; they forgot the Oblivion Gate data attached to it.

i'd love a mod that does the following. Borris takes the amulet from you in the sewer system, thanks you for your help, and mentions you should visit Wayne Priory as you show promise and since the Emperor trusted you, that the Blades may, too. Hopefully it won't break his script that he thanks you for recovering the katana if you did. This would make the 'urgency' of the main quest not so dire, as it hasn't been in other Elder Scrolls, and removes the quest item from your inventory (which I dislike it being there, as always a reminder of 'hey remember this?').
Great video, really informative of mechanic's I didn't even know existed! Slightly random question though, I JUST finished a 120-hour playthrough on Oblivion, and I got every achievement on the 360 (basically 100% the game) it and despite that, I only ever reached level TWENTY, I was a Battlemage. It never bothered me too much in-game, but how on earth did you manage to get to level 35, did I do something wrong?
It depends on how well you meta game your leveling. The hard cap of the game is about ~50 for those who can manage to get 100 in every attribute except luck.
It's based on the 7 major skills you chose at the start of the game. If you max them all out then you'll end up at about level 50. If you don't use those skills so much then you won't level as much. You can play all the content in the game at level 20 (a few daedric quests require that) and get all the best levelled item rewards by level 30 (usually before that).

So who's the theif G.S.?
That’s a great question 🤔
Are you the Count?
Hi, I’ve been wanting to say for a while but I could never find the time but I just wanted to say that I really super appreciate you referring to the hero of kvatch in gender neutral terms, it’s something a lot of other lore/Tes in general RUclipsrs don’t do which pisses me off because I always play female characters & it feels antithetical to the point of roleplaying & also tone deaf to ignore female players. But you do a super great job with it and it hasn’t gone unnoticed, so thanks! I feel seen for once ❤
Hey there! I’m glad you brought this to my attention! Going forward I’ll continue to try and be as neutral as possible with it! Really appreciate the support! :)
youre a real OG lil bro
Lets watch the monki
20:53 you monster
All that effort and treasure hunting for a weak, lackluster ring... the journey was cool but the reward... well at least you have bragging rights.
9:41 wtf was that?
If you play the Knights of the Nine quests then gain infamy, making you unworthy to wield the crusader relics, that is an all too common generic dialogue line.
This guy always sounds so happy. I don't like it.
