Playmates finally got the Power Rangers license 30 years later! I collected all of their 1995 Ronin Warriors (Samurai Troopers) figures. We got cool Sentai inspired toys thanks to MMPR being such a huge success. Playmates produced high quality figures at low prices back then: TMNT & Trek.💯
power rangers definitely has been at san diego comic con, at least during the 2010s, as they had a few sdcc exclusives. Samurai figure set, Samurai figurarts, Ranger Keys, Dino Chargers, Gold Power Morpher, etc
Playmates could win me over with a modern toyetic power blaster. Heck, even a new blade blaster. I know Playmates can do good with roleplay toys (glares at Hasbro), and they need to go all in on it. I hope Playmates capitalizes on team packs. Once we get over the mmpr bump, the potential for this line could be crazy.

To paraphrase former SPD Green Ranger, Matt Austin: It's crazy how reliant this franchise is on the Mighty Morphin era of Power Rangers. I understand that MMPR is what kickstarted the craze, but the franchise has become so much more than what it was in the early 1990's, and not recognizing that is detrimental. Hasbro's Lightning Collection line, for all its QC issues and incomplete teams, at least acknowledged that Power Rangers extends beyond the Mighty Morphin branding.
Unless they'll be continuing to use the molds and skeletons from Hasbro and continuing the Lightning Collection I'm skeptical. They had the DC Multiverse license for decades and didn't improve their designs. Marvel Legends surpassed them in every category and then they lost the license to MacFarlane Toys. Unless they continue the Lightning Collection I'm not that interested.
@@HeroesofFandom yeah cause I want more Sentai DVDs or at least a proper reason as to why they stop instead of nothing. They kept in the Deka to Magi send off and the Super Hero Time bumpers in Kamen Rider Geats. Like why keep those in there if hasbro aren’t gonna let Shout print more Sentai. Guess I would have to wait until after the new PR stuff cause they don’t want it to overshadow PR in the states while they prepping new stuff on that end but still.

My Kid is 4 and he enjoys the Original Power rangers over the current ones 🤷🏾♂️
