Just in time for Halloween, I've got a DIY step by step tutorial that takes you through everything you need to transform into the Disney Villain Ursula the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid! I cover everything from DIY tentacles and jewelry, to how to do your body paint, makeup and hair. Scroll down for a detailed list of what you'll need!

Este tutorial no lo subiré dos veces, creo que las tomas hablan por si solas, me divertí muchísimo con este disfraz, y me da mucho gusto poder compartirlo con ustedes. Aquí cubro todo lo que fue necesario para convertirme en URSULA la bruja de La Sirenia, desde sus tentáculos (lo más difícil) hasta su collar y sus aretes, su maquillaje, y su cabello.

Also needed: A needle and thread, good scissors for cloth, wire cutters, brown paper to draw pattern of tentacles, a plate to mix paint.

Awesome tutorial! I wasn’t able to find a dress as flowy as this one, so I ended up using a black tutu underneath to add some filler and it worked perfect.

I’m so glad I found this! I found a picture of your costume on Pinterest and was using it to try and recreate something but I’ve been having some difficulty figuring out the pattern for the tentacles! How wide did you make each tentacle? Do you think the wire is super necessary to make the shape stay? I was hoping if I cut the pattern to the curvature the stuffing would keep its shape.

Thanks, Holly, for sharing. Can you tell me about the wire: do you use 2 wires or 1 wire per tentacle? How do you attach the wires inside the tentacle? Do you turn the tentacle inside out WITH the wires already installed? I'd really appreciate your help!

Hey this looks amazing! Did you find the tentacles to be big or would you want them bigger next time? I plan to wear mine out downtown and I want to be able to dance! Plus do you think that if I am dancing in a club the purple over my face and body would melt everywhere when I sweat? This is the first year I want to go really all out but don't want to look like a mess! haha Thanks for your help!

Glen Coco I so hear that. I spent 90% of my time on the tentacles. Also, finding the right dress was a challenge too.

I wish I would have seen your tutorial sooner I attached my tentacles to an elastic waistband when all along I had a belt like the one you used in my closet! I'm curious did you just tease all your hair up or did you pin it somewhere?
