    Okaaaaaay‼️😂😘I’ve seen one said use regular/room temperature tap water along with a conditioner,preferably a moisturizing one in a plastic bowl or either bucket/container…then I seen one say use a cap full of Downy to get rid of that chemical smell in a bucket with boiling water!Then I seen this one…So,sometimes you just don’t know where to start and what to do because the conditioner tutorial worked extremely well with my body wave wig but didn’t with my curly wig so what I did do was this…I just compacted all 3 ideas into ONE…I put a capful of fabric softener/not Downy though into my bathroom sink with the stopper pulled with hot water and soak my wig like that!The curly one and put a half a cap of that same cap that I use for the fabric softener and put some regular brown vinegar in there and let my wig soak for a couple of hours and about every thirty minutes I gently washed it from top to bottom along with the cap then let that water out and rinsed!Theeeeeen took some moisturizing conditioner and soaked it for about thirty minutes and gave it a great rinsing and smells like new money!Sometimes you have to break down what all of them says I guess 😂❤

    Iv tried socking overnight, I used good amount cider vinegar, still the smell won’t go. I smell it in the car & office. People have commented about the smell & I knew it was the wig.
    I will stick to braids.

      @@moniquea9160 trust me that smell will not go away even if you soak the wig for one week. Iv given up, I only have good quality synthetic wigs and expression braids/cornrow.

    Can try anything acidic like regular vinegar or concentrated lemon juice. I have one that smells like raw fish so I will try the apple cider. Thanks for sharing!

    • @CassiaLyn
      @CassiaLyn  Год назад +3

      I wouldn’t recommend lemon juice, its known to have bleaching properties in it, which can lighten the color of the hair unintentionally. I would stick with the apple cider vinegar or even regular vinegar

      Thank you the Apple cider worked! I used it with warm water and conditioner and let it soak for 4 hours. No smell. In the past the lemon juice didn’t bleach but it doesn’t deodorize as well as the apple cider so I’ll stick to the cider ☺️

      No it doesnt, real hair can withstand high temperatures.
