      I do not understand why some people, just feel the need to act like complete asshats… this idea of yours is the perfect idea for all of these amazon boxes I have! I have a BUNCH on them… I get deliveries to my house from Amazon at least 3 times a week. I am completely disabled and unable to drive so I do a lot of shopping online… I have been trying to find a way to reuse a lot of these boxes…. This is WONDERFUL!!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea!!!

      Oddly enough, you can make a dresser out of used boxes, why not you can buy them flat packed for just that. Save money and reuse the boxes.
      When they are worn out you can recycle them.
      Would I cover mine in wall paper, no to fancy for my uses but I do reuse boxes to store stuff in. If it rally has to stay dry and dust free buy the plastic tote container these wont do that.
      I've got boxes from 40 years ago I honestly don't even know whats in them.
      But they cost me nothing. 40 years to box somthing up fir 0 cost.
      I always save the small ones great parts bins.

You see, I am German and English is not my mother tongue, therefore it is often too hard for me to follow along other crafters here on RUclips as to the way they speak. Posh Paper Lady speaks like an English teacher and I adore her for that, too. Love from Carmen, Germany

Sometimes I'll finish the look by putting tassels around the top or drawer pullers on the bottom for legs/feet if I'm making a box to sit out on a counter or dresser.. I made one lined with plastic insert as a planter it turned out beautiful.

    Love what you have done! I re-use my boxes as well, but differently. It reminds me of when we went to grade school in the mid-fifties. We were given our new books at beginning of the school year third week of August and told to take them home and cover them with some “ nice paper”. That usually meant “plain Kraft paper”. But it worked just fine. We would then use any design to make it look nice. And it did keep the books in good shape, even though we had to carry them home each night for homework.
    With my Amazon boxes I like to tape two or three different ones together, cut some shapes out for “windows” and make little houses for them to play in. But now that I do a lot of gardening, I use most of my boxes for covering large areas of muddy areas to keep myself from slipping if it has been very rainy. I just open the seams to get the largest piece I can. When I finish, I can just pick it up and put it in my stash I keep in the garage, or if I’m working a wet area over a few days, I can just leave it on the ground when I finish for the day. When it dries out I can still use them again, then put it in the garbage. I also try to overwinter certain geraniums by removing all the dirt from the roots, carefully, and loosely wrap the trimmed back plant in newspaper and put them in one of the larger boxes and close the lid. You are right: these boxes are very strong and do the job nicely. Thank you so much for sharing your creative ideas! I have a sewing room and I’m going to make some boxes like yours!

    Sherry, I really needed this tutorial...because I need the attractive storage all around my house: bedroom, living room, laundry room, kitchen, and craft room! I've decided to wait till I have groups of boxes of the same size and, since these don't have lids, I will make the outside bottom piece just a little larger all around so, when I stack them, they won't fall inside the box below and will sit more securely on top of each other. It might work to just make it bigger front and back (2 sides only) or on each side (2 only), as well.

    • @kittycat1302
      @kittycat1302 3 года назад +5

      Charlotte Z. I like your idea; Personally, I think your idea of making the bottom larger would be best for stacking them. I think if you make two sides taller, eventually those extended sides would break down or bend and weaken and not look as nice. That’s if I have a correct picture of what you’ve described in my mind. If you make these, please give us an update and let us know how they turned out. I can’t wait to make some myself.

    I love this idea too. My daughter works at a store where they have literally TONS of cardboard. I've made houses, and furniture for those houses, and vases and everything BUT a storage container! lol. Bad as I need them too! oi vey! What I really need is a module that has drawers. You've given me a fantastic idea for one too. I also suggest you just ignore those IDiots that have not even a mediocre spec of positivity in them. They don't understand kindness. Personally, I LOVE your videos. You go, Girl!!!

    Wonderfully clear and precise instructions! I have LOADS of boxes….. now I know exactly what to do with them! I’m hoping it’ll work just as well without the wooden base or the rivets as I don’t have any. I’ll glue the box as the wallpaper I have is actual paper. I also want to use up fabric scraps, so my boxes will look like patchwork. I’ll use spray varnish afterwards to ensure an easy-clean finish. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve just subscribed!

    This is a great way to reuse those boxes. I have contemplated using banker boxes with attached lids in my loft and painting or covering, but it always seemed like an arduous task ts o cut and measure paper or fabric to cover. For some reason I never thought about deconstructing the box first. Sometimes the best options are the simplest. Thanks for this video, Sherry!

    Love this project, I've got ten tons of boxes I need to use and need for storage 👍🏻 I've wrapped boxes before as they stood, in wrapping paper. I guess you could use contact paper too. That design on the wallpaper is so gorgeous, looks like fabric, lovely 👍🏻 you can make it to go in any room you want, have it more bright and colourful for a kids room, also possibly with icons on like unicorns or dinosaurs or something. Possibilities are endless with this 😄👍🏻👍🏻 xxx

      Emma, I just attempted to do an amazon box with dollar tree contact paper. I wanted to try that first before using my good wallpaper. Didn't do that well. To thin and didn't stick very well. Thankfully I have plenty of boxes to spare. This is such a great idea to recycle some of the stuff I've collected.
