I just love repurposing things. It comes from growing up poor and having to “make do”. Those old habits have allowed me to have the funds to buy something I really need for my crafting and not go into debt. You are a gal after my heart! Thank you and have a truly Blessed Thanksgiving.
Try growing up with parents that lived through the depression. I’m 69 and still can’t throw away fabric if it’s at least 4”x4”. And it’s not ‘repurposing’. You’re using stuff. It’s yours, you can do what you want with it. It’s materials
When I was growing up, getting new shoes meant getting a shoe box for decorating. The hours spent coloring or cutting out pictures. I’m 67 now and still find a purpose for shoe boxes. TFS and some good memories.
"We're going to go with what we have..." Great attitude! Man do I get frustrated at my own imperfect executions. Thanks for showing us things can just BE!
My favorite quote and I will start using it, in response to a comment like "that's a waste of time" the quote is perfect "It really isn't a waste of time if you enjoy doing it" you are so RIGHT dear Sherry!!!!
Where I grew up (NE Ohio), there was a saying attributed to the semi-local Amish: "Use it up, Make do, or Do without." This sure helps with the "make do" part I try to live within! :) Thank you!
I liked to see the error. We all make mistakes and it's good to see yours, when your stuff always looks so amazing. Even the mistake worked out. It reminds me this is supposed to be fun and I don't need to stress over it!
Girl, you know that you have a very crafty mind. Who would have thought to take a tissue box and use it side ways to put a mug. I had to laugh out loud when I saw your finished product. I love it. You are great!!
I love it so much! I'm absolutely impressed with this very cute upcycle. Did I ever tell you that you're a crafting genius???? Well you certainly are! Your snowmen didn't look crooked at all. Thank you s😊
Hi Sherry, I can’t wait to see what creative process video you are sharing with this tissue box today. This will be clever I am sure of it. Happy Crafting! 🌻☕️Jennifer
Love this idea ... love the way it came out .. and that you didn't remake this video.. it shows us how to continue and see how you went with the flow.. thanks again.. 💗
Adorable and so practical. I actually cover my boutique tissue boxes with pattern card stock that goes with a seasonal theme. When the tissues are used and need refilled, I use my finger blade and slice the bottom of the box on 3 sides. I replace the tissue then tape the bottom closed. It’s a great way to have a themed look and awesome way to Use up stash. So much cutenesses ❤
Great idea!! Thank you for all your video I can only imagine how much work making these must be. But please know as as a supper fan that we all appreciate all your hard work and getting these videos done for us, please don’t let negative people bring you down with negative comments don’t worry about them “you do you” focus only on the people who love and who appreciate you those who see all the hard work you do putting these videos together you have no idea how much you have helped me develop my talents. Pat yourself on the back! You are awesome 👏🏼
I was wondering where this was going! How adorable! This is a perfect gift to add to my college daughter's December care package, just fill it with tea, cocoa, soup packets or candy! Love it Sherry, thanks for the creative tutorial! 😊😊😊
New to your channel!!! I've been having a great time watching you as you create new, fun things!!! I thought I might have a project here with a premade box! I haven't done any paper crafts... but you really make it fun to watch!!! 🎉 I love how you share... not repetitive... just easy peasy fun!!! Thank you 😊 for sharing...a California Gramma ❤
You are so dahd-gum clever! It would be marvelous to go shopping with you to see first hand how your mind works as you see things and come up with ideas 😊
Thank you so much for your example of continuing on even when it didn't go the way you wanted! What a wonderful idea! You truly inspire kindness (to self & others) and creativity. Thank you 💙
Sherry, you’re not only a crafting genius but also a crafting saint😇! When you “dropped” the box on the tape, I instinctively heard “Oh Crap!!” I was thinking you said it….but nope, you kept right on going and didn’t miss a beat. I’m the one who added the brief commentary😬!! (Will work on doing better with that😉). Thank you for being the sweet person that you are! (Next time I mess up maybe I can be chilled like you 😊). BTW, your box turned out great! ~Gina
That is sooooo clever!! I love your brain, lol!! I'm so thankful for your video today!!! I am in the process of destroying/organizing my craft rooms and welcomed the break!! 😊
What a cute idea. I was wondering what the purpose of leaving the hole open would be. Nice surprise. Having the handle poking out gave me a chuckle. Thank you Sherry.
Genius!! I think it turned out just fine. I think this would be a great way to also make tissue boxes that fit with your decor and holiday decoration theme. Just add a Velcro dot or magnet closure on one side so that you can refill it. It's something you can use year after year or make a new one if you change the color pallet you are using in your home or seasonal decor. Thank you for another #Inspiring & #GameChanger project!!
Love love love how you upcycle everyday things!! AND.... Love how you keep it real! Many times, when I am laying down stickers or any adhesive thing, it gets stuck prematurely. Seeing how it happens to you too... I can totally relate! You're my-kind-of-person for sure! Thank you for your time & effort to make this video!
You never cease to amaze or disappoint me with your creative thinking…you just continue to blow me away♥️❗️I absolutely ♥️Love♥️the way you recovered from “A Murphys Law” mishap ♥️❗️Just showing all of us yet another example of your own unique way of teaching😎and just how much the “Posh Paper Lady” Loves Crafting🥳♥️🫡❗️A 10 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️Project ♥️❗️
I love this. So pretty. I have used tissue boxes for all sorts of things, pen and scissors holders, dividers for drawers etc. Fabulous idea, thanks for sharing!
Amazingly your snowman looks straight to me ha ha you have such a calming voice in your DIY’s are so wonderful. I thank you for your time. Have a blessed day.
Thank you, Shari! I love ALL of your amazing crafts and have made several. I really enjoyed repurposing the kleenex box. Hubs happened to have an almost empty in his car. Perfect timing! Thank you 😊
Thank you. Brilliant idea. I have three tissue boxes that I had put aside because I had a feeling that there would be something I could make with them!😊❤
Aww Posh I love this. Can’t wait to try it out! I appreciate you moving forward after you misplaced the paper. A good lesson to keep going, and you can’t even tell!
I have 2 tissue boxes I was about to put in the recycle bin I’m so glad I found your video. I’m going to be crafting this afternoon after I have done my housework
That was amazing Sherry! I always buy the longer tissue boxes but I bet I could de-construct it and make it beautiful and find a use for it! Paper crafting is never a waste of time! Keep on surprising us with these wonderful ideas please! 💙
Hi Sherry, I was just getting ready to go out for dinner when my phone died so I thought I will hook it up a little bit. I recd your alert, it was 0 likes literally 4 seconds and I hit like and I take pride in being number 1. As you started to talk I cannot believe how fast the views started pouring in, within 5 min it was up to 182 views and many many likes. Right now in the back seat of my car in a black hefty bag I have 109 toilet paper rolls(just the cardboard) and 47 tissue boxes and Monday they go to an up cycle crafting group for a children's program in the next town over. I get online notifications on what supplies they need for summer programs and now in 2 weeks they need to see boxes and TP rolls for a Christmas craft. When my Mom was dying from cancer 2 years ago I always bought her beautiful tissue boxes and the last one I bought I have saved. It was from the Dollar Tree but I opened it up and put better softer tissues inside for her. But the outside is made to look like old barn wood and each 4 sides in a black English font it says Faith Family Friends. She loved it and she told me someday cut it down and frame the sides to hang. I am almost done with the tissues in my bathroom from the same style of box I have in a wicker container from my Dad. For one woman at work I always buy a snowman cup and I put a gift card inside or little candy's and WOW this year I will be making a box for it. I have 2 of those large Christmas cards stock pads. I made my own gift tags I sold as one of my crafts at my craft sale last weekend. 3 of my crafts I learned on RUclips and the one sold out within a matter of 3 hours. I made close to 50 gift card/money holders out of wire ribbon and embellished them and hooked wire to it to hang in a Christmas tree and they were totally gone within 3 hours. Thank you so much for a wonderful idea and I cannot live without my Scrappy Tape. I bought that summer 2022 when you mentioned the name one day. Have a wonderful evening Sherry. Always with love, Rebekah in VA
Oh my goodness! Such a clever idea. I wasn’t sure where you were going with this but you had me hooked from the get go! I love this idea and I love how you remained so calm and cool when you got the paper askew. It worked perfectly!
This is awesome! I take a part of tissue box back in the summertime because I wanted to try to make a patriotic themed tissue box cover. I never got any further than that but now that I see this project I'm going to get some scrapbook paper and make one. Thank you for the idea. 🤗
I'm going to start saving my tissue boxes--I just threw a box away (two days ago!!). This was a great in the moment tutorial, sometimes it's nice to watch the process and see what you turn it into. I'm thinking if I added some acetate to the "window", it can become lots of other things--for candy, hot chocolate gift box, ornaments etc. I am super critical and super hyper--I would've gone nuts🥴 if the base fell before I was ready. I have to channel my "inner calm Sherry". Thank you 🙂❤
This is a great repurpose. I am catching up on all your videos. I recently returned to work after being retired for 5 years, so I've missed a few. I do love everything you make. ❤
I just love repurposing things. It comes from growing up poor and having to “make do”. Those old habits have allowed me to have the funds to buy something I really need for my crafting and not go into debt. You are a gal after my heart! Thank you and have a truly Blessed Thanksgiving.
@ eagerhands1, you spoke so perfectly!!
“Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Or do without” That’s ho2 I grew up!
I totally agree! Too much waste in this world plus creativity is so rewarding!
Try growing up with parents that lived through the depression. I’m 69 and still can’t throw away fabric if it’s at least 4”x4”. And it’s not ‘repurposing’. You’re using stuff. It’s yours, you can do what you want with it. It’s materials
I had to giggle when I heard you sigh when you dropped the tissue box - all crafters know that feeling 😂
When I was growing up, getting new shoes meant getting a shoe box for decorating. The hours spent coloring or cutting out pictures. I’m 67 now and still find a purpose for shoe boxes. TFS and some good memories.
Such a lovely lady!! A calming and comforting voice as well.
I love to see an ‘oops’ since that happens to all of us! Look how nice it turns out anyway. You’re amazing and inspiring Sherry. ❤
Thank you so much!
"We're going to go with what we have..." Great attitude! Man do I get frustrated at my own imperfect executions. Thanks for showing us things can just BE!
I'd love to see your craft ideas using full size tissue boxes!
My favorite quote and I will start using it, in response to a comment like "that's a waste of time" the quote is perfect "It really isn't a waste of time if you enjoy doing it" you are so RIGHT dear Sherry!!!!
OHHH my gosh!!!! I didn’t see that coming. WOWWWWWW
Clever way to make a mug box. Love it!
Now that was such a surprise. I did not expect it to be made into a a mug holder. That was excellent Sherry!
Where I grew up (NE Ohio), there was a saying attributed to the semi-local Amish:
"Use it up,
Make do,
or Do without."
This sure helps with the "make do" part I try to live within! :)
Thank you!
What a neat idea! I had no idea what that was going to be until you put the mug in there! I love it!
I liked to see the error. We all make mistakes and it's good to see yours, when your stuff always looks so amazing. Even the mistake worked out. It reminds me this is supposed to be fun and I don't need to stress over it!
You are awesome. I love the way you teach us not to sweat the mistakes. Just carry on. God Bless you.
I love that you didn’t edit the drop out! Thank you!
Thank you Karen…it was a “moment” though, lol!
I am so glad to see that even when things do go perfectly, you still make beautiful things!
Thank you so much for showing that even you (the Queen) can accept a mistake whereas I'd have lost it.
I don’t know how you come up with these ideals, but I’m glad you did!!!!!
That is incredibly clever! I appreciate that you left the real-life "oops" in there. Only you would have a perfectly placed pattern after that!!
Girl, you know that you have a very crafty mind. Who would have thought to take a tissue box and use it side ways to put a mug. I had to laugh out loud when I saw your finished product. I love it. You are great!!
Oh thank you!
I love it so much! I'm absolutely impressed with this very cute upcycle. Did I ever tell you that you're a crafting genius???? Well you certainly are!
Your snowmen didn't look crooked at all. Thank you s😊
Thanks so much Joyce 😊
I didn’t expect that. It was so cute and creative! ❤
This is what I ❤ about this channel. Beauty and education.. you’re so crafty.
I appreciate your great repurposed project. No more discarding Kleenex boxes!
I love that so many of your crafts are doable…for even someone that is as craft challenged as me!!
I love how you kept going even though you dropped the box. Thank you for showing even experts have mishaps
Hi Sherry, I can’t wait to see what creative process video you are sharing with this tissue box today.
This will be clever I am sure of it.
Happy Crafting!

It’s always nice to put your own touch on repurposing an item. Love watching these. Beautiful!

Thank you! 🤗

I love repurposing🎉🎉🎉
You are so welcome!
So cute
This is exposure therapy for perfectionist like me. I admire your determination, Sherry.
Hi again! Very very cute gift box! So nice to re-use and re-purpose instead of adding to the world’s trash problem!Thx for another great idea.
You are so welcome!
This is such a cute idea.
Yes! Making my “trash” useful again is my favorite kind of crafting. ❤
I was wondering where this was going! How adorable! This is a perfect gift to add to my college daughter's December care package, just fill it with tea, cocoa, soup packets or candy! Love it Sherry, thanks for the creative tutorial! 😊😊😊
I love how you how you kept going after your paper got stuck in an unplanned position. The tilted snowmen make your project look unique.
It's adorable. And it's certainly not a waste of time when you enjoy what your doing.
Always lifts my spirits, & soul up when I’m here! You’ve brought together so many incredible humans! Much love and creativity to all!
You are so dahd-gum clever! It would be marvelous to go shopping with you to see first hand how your mind works as you see things and come up with ideas 😊
Thank you for showing us that even with a little misstep, we can still have a beautiful outcome.
I would have never thought of doing that! You are brilliant miss Sherry 😊❤😊
Thank you so much for your example of continuing on even when it didn't go the way you wanted! What a wonderful idea! You truly inspire kindness (to self & others) and creativity.
Thank you 💙
You are so welcome!
I admire your calm demeanor because I would have said a few naughty words. LOL.
O Sherry that is an ingenious idea!! What an adorable mug box!! That is superb!! Thank you for sharing!

I love these boxes because they are so decorative to begin with, but this is the best idea ever!! Thanks.
you are so cool! if that was me.swearing would be spewing out and then the box would be over the other side of the room by now. queen of cool!
What a great gift idea! I have repurposed these boxes for small fat journals but this is something I will definitely try. TFS.
I also wanted to let you know I am getting a new sound bar for my PC. That should address the sound issue. Thanks for understanding.

You are the reason I smile every day. This is so unique. You are amazing
Good lesson taught. Even though you “lost control of the box” it came out great. Keep going.

This is a game changer.
Good on you.
Best day now.

This is a great repurpose. I am catching up on all your videos. I recently returned to work after being retired for 5 years, so I've missed a few. I do love everything you make. ❤
OMGoodness! I didn't know where this project was going and BAM! Wow!!! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I absolutely love all the videos I’ve watched of yours. You are to humble and creative. Thank you for sharing your crafts with us.
You could also use it as a shadow box too and maybe use a velcro button at the top. What a great idea, Sherry. Thank you!
