@@thyfarhan Nah there's definitely some remnant of Tom's vocal melody buried there that you can hear. Might be that the vocal and drums were all bussed through the same phaser at the same time or something so it's printed in with the drums. Or this is one of those AI algorithm separated tracks and it's just left behind artifacts. It's definitely there though.
that record is such a tremendous masterpiece that when u listen to just the drusms n the bass track it still sound interesting n fantastic, prob best work in careeer for travis for the drum tracks
Sorry I don't have a link, it's been a decade lol, but I believe the separate instrumental tracks were posted on reddit and I just combined the drums and bass tracks of this song.

i love marks bass lines.
This was mark and travis practising after tom left in 2015
hahahahah
XD
bro i'm so mindblown, i've always thought mark played simple root notes for the verse, didn't know he was playing those beautiful .. idk riffs? lick?
Its just the studio version. Live he play a boring riff
@@gabriellevesque-lessard5052 that's a shame!
He’s way more than your average punk bass player, yeah Toms riffs a catchy af but he is the real melodic backbone
@@gabriellevesque-lessard5052 to be fair, he just changes the little downscale bouncy part for the b chord and the high a, otherwise mostly the same.
@@kleinkaufman8940 yeah but that was the fun part 😆😆
this is gonna be my alarm clock
bon2yan88 how do you do that? Lol
@@vettefreak3197 lol direct record it on your phone

1:23 I love that you can still hear Tom screaming in the background on this part
that's not tom screaming, that's the phaser effect that sounds like tom haha
@@thyfarhan well the phaser is used for Tom's part so I'll say its still him in a way

@@TheSpartan_G yup, i believe he was singing it in the background of the drum track, so the drums when the stems released were isolated.
Sounds like some little kid getting viciously raped in a closet.

too funky!!! A+ mark
C- at best, given the style of music.
Aaron Mann This is pretty solid compared to what he’s currently churning out.
@@punkyagogo pretty solid? probably the best thing mark and travis have done together! such a groove.
@@aapoh9197 given the style of music, this is an A, he couldve gotten away with something way simpler
Одна из самых экспериментальных песен. И первая, с чего эти эксперименты пошли )
same
I love you for making this
beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing!
Travis! Tight as usual!
thats dope
Dope
i like how you can faintly hear tom saying the chorus before mark sings the bridge
DRUM N BASS
*_I'M FEELING THIS!_*
Travis and Mark I LIKE IT
0:44-0:50
Wish Hoppus played this bass line live.
M+Ms but more complex
1:23 am i hearing things or is there a very faint voice in the background singing
i thought i was the only one, i was afraid that there's a ghost singing
lol
Lol Tom's voice echoing
Almost sounds like its echoing off of the drum heads
Tyler DeVries I think it is
when you want to be Tom Delonge
2:04 !
Do you mind if someday I use your backing tracks to do my guitar covers? Thanks in advance. Good job BTW!
I take no credit since I just combined the drum and bass tracks I found online, go nuts
I mind, don't do it :O

How could you say you meant anything different
To anyone standing alone on the street
With a cigarette on the first night we met
Look to the past and remember and smile
And maybe tonight I can breathe for awhile
I'm not in the scene I think I'm falling asleep

Nope just octave accents

Mark likes octaves but nah, this Bassline is killer
