The saddest part is if police had investigated his wife's disappearance, it might have saved Valerie's life because several people in the family have admitted they believe he killed her. He had been a abusive to her and disappeared, leaving behind everything she owned. She has never been seen or heard from again. The documentary I saw spoke about it, but they don't even mention it here. I think if you kill a child it should be an automatic death sentence.😥💔

No, she wrote "daddy won't leave my room" That was all there was never any evidence that he SA her... thank God. But the reason he killed her was because his gf at the time hated Valerie and he was obsessed with her. She broke up with him which is why he had gone to live with his parents. The gps showed him passing by her house all day long to stalk her plus he called her from jail that if she could marry him now that Valerie was dead. Idk why this video left all that info out. Forensic files has a better video with the ex gf's testimony. 😪
It says "sole custody" but i searched. Her mother died when valerie was 2 years old. I guess they mean he didn't share it with any grandparents. Poor girl had no mother hated by her future step mom and murdered by her dad

I don't know why this documentary left it out. His girlfriend broke up with him because she didn't get along with Valerie, but he was obsessed with her. The GPS recorded he constantly drove by her house and he called her begging to get back together. He blamed losing her on Valerie, so I believe he killed her so she wouldnt be in the way. He even called the woman from jail asking him to marry him now that Val was dead. I saw a short clip of her testifying to it during the trial

It's been speculated that it was for the freedom of being with the ex-girlfriend, having his freedom back. Asking his parents to raise her would've hurt reputation. I wouldn't doubt a murderer was also S.A.'ing his daughter.
He should be spending life in prison without the possibility of parole. Not only did he murder his own daughter, he probably molested her as well. He will come up for parole in no more than 28years. I like Michigan,if you’re convicted of first-degree murder, it’s automatic life in prison without the possibility of parole.

If these evil people don't want their children, why don't they just leave them at a police station or a hospital? Imagine, they are killing their children whilst others like me would have done anything to have one. I have a child that I'm a care giver for and if he is ill, i cannot even sleep at nights because i have to be watching him for any negative changes in his health.

This show is Excellent! It's very well done, and very informative.
In the first minutes when he said his wife hadn't been seen for several years, I just knew it was him! But what shocked me is no one appears to have tried to locate her, even to check if maybe she had Valerie. This is so sad, it seems no one is searching for her. Also I think he told police what his motive was - he was living at the girlfriend's place but had to move back in with his parents as his girlfriend didn't get along with Valerie. I think he blamed his daughter for that relationship going south and decided it was best to get rid of her. He's a monster.

If you decide to date someone with a child ir children plz accept them. They are already going threw enough with their parents fighting an spilting up especailly if they had been together for a while and then broke up. They might blame you for their break up and thats normal. Both parents need to be adults about it and explain to then that no other person had anythijg to do with it and that they grew apart it happens. In the 1st case the mom passed. That is different. But to hate a child is sick. Maybe the daughter thought the gf new that he harmed her or something. Who knows why they didnt like each other. If anything he shpuld hage let Val go live with his parents or her moms parents if they was still alive and then he could stay with the gf. I love kids. I could never imagine dating a guy and hating his kid. I taught both of my kids to respect adults. Not to allow anyone to be disrespectful to them and to alwyas be hones tto me about how someone is treating them. But i would never say anything bad about rheir dad or new gf. In front of them. It was once a month type of thing. I didnt whoop his kids tho but if they was at my home they did respect me.
