Nice tip! I have been using the stevedore knot for my stopper knot. It is a bulky knot that won't come undone accidentally. However, the barrel knot looks great and I like the way the bitter end extends straight out. I'll have to practice with the piece of rope that I keep by my desk so I can remember how to do it next season. This looks like my new stopper knot!
