Great video. So happy to have stumbled upon it. I'm 3 1/2 yrs playing and hope one day to be good...lol. Had 1 lesson with Johny B at the last Olympics in DC and still reflect on it all the time. He's the best and such a nice guy. Thanks again for posting.
Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Respect and love. I’ve just recently delved deep into Western Armenian traditional music and I couldn’t be happier as a Western Armenian myself (from Russia). Our music is something else and it HAS to be preserved and expanded upon.
I had the pleasure of interviewing John for "Ugly Things" magazine in 2009 and helping organize his performances at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago the following year, which allowed me to get to know him a little bit in the process. I will forever treasure these experiences. He is not only an oud maestro but a wonderful human being as well. Long may you run, John.
Very nice, God bless
I'm so jealous of the ability to go spend a solid week playing Oud with and learning music from from John...

I couldn't have said it better myself.
