Designed with hunting in mind, these binoculars will also be ideal for many other uses like birding and general wildlife observation and where an exceptional low light performance is required.

I use IOR binoculars for night, the 7x40 military ones with MRAD reticles. I just ordered these ones and I do hope they are far better than the IOR's. Up until now I haven't seen anything better in terms of optical performance than IOR Bucharest - no matter if we are talking binoculars or rifle scopes. They have their own patents and SCHOTT is making the glass for them. Anyways, great video. I really appreciate the good quality of your review. Keep up the good work!
Schott makes the glass for the top line Steiners too. Where can I get a IORS?
Would be very interesting to know what is the difference between Steiner Nighthunter 8x56 and Steiner Nighthunter Xtreme 8x56 if there is any. A comparison would be fantastic as I saw you guys did a video review on that one too.
Makrolon is an ABS plastic, I believe and is the standard stock material on the Steyr SSG69 sniper rifles.
Thank you for the review. I was looking for a pair of lenses without being depended on batteries in any way. Thermal and IR are great but they can be as useful as long as their batteries are.
The sour bit the really sour bit is the stiffness of the controls. The eye peaces are bitterly stiff and hard to turn. The bridge is also very still and impossible to turn smoothly. Initially I regretted buying these binos, but with time I learned to sort of like them. The optics are great; sharp and super bright. Still the sour bits are very bitter.
Is there a video or review or any link for the smaller 8x30 NightHunter?
How about Steiner 8x42mm Nighthunter XP Roof Prism Hunting Binoculars
Vortex has the same Warranty as Steiner
You should mention that these would be excellent, I presume, for astronomy. Thank you for the reviews!
Not enough magnification
They are great for astronomy, but they lack a tripod adapter, a Steiner strange omision. But for handheld astronomy with younger eyes and dark skies they are great. Steiner shall offer a 10x56 version with tripod adapter.
Important question: are they tripod adaptable?
No, they cannot be attached to a tripod with a standard method, but you can use a binocular rest/tray like this: www.optics-trade.eu/en/zeiss-binofix-tripod-adapter.html to secure them.
@@OpticsTradeEU Ok Thank you for answering.
If you do review, please show more of the lenses, so that we can sea the quality of the coatings.
Sure, we'll keep that in mind. Thanks for watching.
