India is a sub continent. It's actually a group of different countries with different languages, culture and geography. Everything in India can't be depicted by just one bollywood. So we have Kollywood, Mollywood, Tollywood, etc.. Hope your message reach more Germans. 😊👍

Yeah it's a huge country with lots of diverse cultures, languages, dances, people and food. It's almost too much to process at times. That's part of the magic for me. I have a video planned about the different film industries. Thank you for your comment! :)

Photos of Bollywood movies you shared are from Rajasthan region ... Even during British times Kerala was under local dynasty .. who cared for its subjects ... It's literary rate was high even at that time ... Fun fact .. Kerala is the first place on earth where Communist formed democratically elected government ... I wonder whenever foreigners have upset stomachs why don't they tell their Indian hosts ... We have many foods which can help ... also surprised that in Kerala you faced a communication barrier ... Large number of people speak English there

Yes I know that the pictures depict a Rajasthani bride - I simply wanted to show the stark contrast because heavily embroidered dresses, heavy jewellery and heavy makeup are what Germans get to know about Indian brides in Bollywood movies that are available here.
Everytime I faced stomach issues, I told anyone responsible for food very clearly that my stomach is upset and that I can't eat the food they provided. Most of the times they just insisted I eat nonetheless, sorry to say. I know that most people are very caring but they didn't seem to understand that I could not eat properly and was feeling nauseatic all the time. Plus, the first time it happened, I was at a wedding and the bride's family was super busy and the food was already set. I didn't want to burden them with my touristy problem because they already had so much on their mind and to care for. ;)
Yes, I know! You'll find a lot of English speaking people in Kerala. However, the wedding took place in a small village far away from any city, and I think that's the reason why the driver couldn't speak English. I doubt they see many foreign tourists in that village. ;) In the touristic areas and cities there was never a communication problem.
