  • Crank up that volume and enjoy it with your stereo headset!
    (trust me, it's so worthed)
    Come and sing along 70, 80, 90-ers!
Who doesn't know this legendary chart rock song?
A scream-worthy hard rock song with a twist of romance and touche' heartfelt of the songwriter and singer, Axl Rose.
It tells us about the unique perspective of this love song that does not use the standard terminology found in popular love songs (SongMeanings+Facts).
I present to you, my drum cover improvisation of Gun's N Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" with a few twists on the double snare hit and kick bass play that I feel can make it more fun and alive.
    Some fun facts:

    • Guns N’ Roses member Slash has a strong love/hate relationship with this song but for the most part has expressed a disliking of it. Indeed it originated from a guitar riff, which he initially considered worthless.
Consider this with its success back then, held the distinction of placing number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 10 September 1988.
    • According to Axl, this is the first “positive love song (he’s) ever written (by his own)” and one of the few he has ever done in his entire career, due to being smitten by Erin Everly.
    • VH1 placed it at number 7 on their “100 Greatest Songs of the ‘80s”. And Rolling Stone placed it on two of their coveted listings - “40 Greatest Songs that Changed the World” and “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”, where it stands at 198. It was also dubbed by the Recording Industry Association of America as one of the “Songs of the Century”, placing at position 210.
I'm learning to play drum at my 40, nothing is impossible.
