[Eng Sub] Bocchi the Rock cast receives an emotional letter from their Voice Director: Akiko Fujita

The sound sync is a bit off but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm aware 音效指導 is usually translated as Sound Director but I want to avoid confusion for this video.

Incidentally, Akiko Fujita was also the sound director for Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu. Other works include: Jujutsu Kaisen, Dress-Up Darling, Servant x Service, Wandering Witch, Hanayamata, and Kakegurui.

According to an interview with LisAni!, about episode 8, she did one take of "Guitar to Kodoku to Aoi Hoshi" at dubbing studio, and one take of "Ano Band" at recording studio. Gen Okamura (maybe) told her while re-recording the latter: "Please sing with a feeling that you haven't reached your peak yet."

because episode 8 their performance at starry was supposed to sound off. they wanted to use her inexperienced/nervous version for that episode. they have proper versions in the official music release

I read somewhere that they were supposed to find someone else to sing the vocals as Kita-chan, that's probably why in the letter, Fujita-san was surprised to realize Hasegawa-san sang the songs herself.
So, if they planned on using another vocals for the songs, they probably just gave Hasegawa-san a single take just to test it out, and she did a good job so they just kept it. She did say she practiced a lot for the songs, so we can conclude she really gave her all in that one take.

The one takes are for the live performance of That Band and the butchered Guitar, Loneliness.
Yes, the vocals from the live That Band are a different recording from the one on the album.
There's no way they would give her one take for the studio recordings, those aren't related to the anime and have different people working behind them.
