animated version feels better more expressions and emotions , it felt like lifeless characters , even bibi dong the way she call tang san in anime and the way they animated it , JC couldn't make that expressions come out.
Jackie chan don't pack the punch needed to do the hao tian doulou role , we need badass character more badass and having the voice to suit this role seriously
Jackie Chan should be Tang Hao twin brother...I forgot his name...thats what suits him...Tang Hao for someone with serious and dont talk too much demeanor and aura...like Jet Li , Samo Hung , and the likes...Jackie suits character who likes to smile and joke around..
it looks interesting but his accent is weird tang song he does not seem smart just good looking and his father need more acting skills on his drunken self and i like the effects and the animation but u need to make him think in his mind and not talk out stuff and i don't want him to sacrifice him self for the beast girl shaw wu just best friends no romance i need more OP moments thats all tang san is stupid to love ughh

if the cast are legit they did a great job not only jc but the actress for bibi dong also have the aura of the character

You should give Douluo dalu 2 , 3. And 4 ago. It does get better
most ppl waiting for MS to keep writing TDG. DD is way better though, although 4 is a let down, 5 was good.

Sounds like you want a whole new story BTW Jackie Chan practically pioneered drunken fist onscreen, I think he will do just fine.
