Great charts! It's nice to have a visual representation for the different easing options.

very very powerful modifer. Thanks for showing this with such a good example!

Man, you just humiliated me 😂 Thank for the great explanation and completely different understanding on what Fusion is capable of :) Thanks!!

Thanks for the tut Jayare. Might I add you need a pop filter in front of your mic. That would help us listeners out. I hope you will consider this. Thanks

This is very good and really cool how you presented it. I would really like to see how you created the graphs. Was wondering if you created a script to generate the graph points or if there is some other way.

Finally figured out how you created your points graphs without having an eclipse for each point. No script needed. Put the expression on the center point of the eclipse (point on graph), Add Duplicate node and set copies by the number of graph points needed and set time offset (X increment) to comp.RenderEnd/Copies, and then freeze all graph points by adding a Timespeed node with speed = 0. Then mask out graph points based on a keyframed rectangle. I also accomplished it with particle points but that just didn't seem right to me.

Do you think there is a way to have a motion graphic that animates based on audio input? If so could you break down a video on how to do that in resolve

There is indeed a way which requires the Reactor plugin. There are a couple tutorials on youtube about that.

Thank you for being so thorough. One thing I did not understand is how (or if) you can apply this relative 0 to 1 value to another animation, like a transform animation. I might be looking for something that doesn’t exist: I’m trying to create a macro effect, to be used in the edit page, that has an initial animation of fixed duration (let’s say, 20 frames). No need for the animation duration to change, but what I’m looking for, is for the animation to start at the IN point of the clip in the timeline, as opposed to at the first frame of the parent clip. Is that possible?

When I try to add the anim curve modifier to a the center point, it does not allow that. I cant find an explination. I want to just move text in off screen to the center point and adjust the easing. I do not want to do this w the spline tool as it's not as precise as anim curves parameters seems to offer. Do you know how to add the modifier to position of an element?

Just noticed the same thing, can't seem to find a reason for it tho. Did you find a solution?

Got to use them with a Custom Fusion transition. But it did crash on me when I pushed the values negative. So be careful and save frequently in the beta.
Side question: how are you making the trails?using a duplicate node with time offset -1? From my experience working with the duplicator is really slow as it does a merge and that filtering is causing the performance issues.
I got a effect I want to mimic from a video game glitch where you look into invisible textures and it just copies your screen 120times a second as you move around. Very nauseating but something I want to recreate.
Pro trick: those tiny curve editor tools inside the Fusion inspector can be opened in the Spline editor where you can go beyond 0 and 1 and do looping/reverse... Or just have more space.
Can you save "Custom" anim curves tho? So you would keep them as a modifier preset and use them more often?

I don't know if I understood it, but I know you explained it well... :)

I feel dumb watching this. Im unsure what he's talking about. Its animation ? in fusion? about animation manipulation?

I'm still relatively new to Fusion/AE I mostly edit and color grade and although I watch everything about fusion and try to learn - I have no clue what I just watched :D

Really confusing explanation. Should have shown individual examples for each concept, and on very simple comps, not what you have here.

Reminds me of math class where they would do something abstract but in the end I couldn't learn anything that had no apparent application. The obvious application of this would be some sort of "Percent complete" meter bar for a sponsor spot that starts at the beginning of the comp and finishes near the end.
