I've lived in Kingman for 33 years. The only place I eat is at home it's a sure thing. Italian, Mexican, Q, American. Otherwise, if your just passing though there are plenty of chains. The local Mexican is Gringo/chain Mexican. Mr. D's, it's a burger joint.
My wife and I visited the Hoover Dam many years ago. We took the tour and our tour guide said, "No dam ticket, no dam tour". Great video and thanks for sharing.
Great video , The Hoover Dam is definitely a marvel! I was so in aw the first time I saw it. I was there on a bike trip when they were building that very tall bridge you could see when you were standing on the Hoover Dam. That was a feat in itself, they built that coming in from both opposite sides. They only had the middle connecting section to install when I left. Love your videos, you are a wealth of information!
A great drop again Staci !! I am fortunate to be old enough to have been able to cross the dam in a car with my parents in the late 70's. It is a must stop to visit if you are in the vicinity. I will definitely stop this year on my journeys south. Thanks for taking us along Staci !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
People! Ahhhh! Ride away! Lol. You're awesome :) The thing I remember the most about that ride are the lights on all the windmills... it was dark... and I was amazed at how many there were and in awe about how they got them ALL to flash at the same time!?! Lol. I don't remember the road being that tore up though, good to know! Keep riding, laughing, and enjoy everything around you! Love watching it :)
Love The Coffee Cup. I left my wallet there by accident once, didn't realize it until I was halfway back to PHX. The great people at the Coffee Cup found it and mailed it to me in PHX! Def a great place to support
I live in Vegas and have ridden to Boulder City a few times. Have also rode to Death Valley once before in the spring time when rare flowers were blooming. Right now it's been 110° + weather and riding at all has been brutal LOL. Glad you got to enjoy the ride before the heat.. thanks for reminding me to try that coffee shop! It's been on my bucket list a while now.
Thanks for the ride video. Hoover Dam is indeed an engineering marvel, and exciting to tour. There are some awesome youTube videos that show it up close. ride safe.🙏🏾👍🏾
I really enjoy your videos. Perfect mixture of the sites you see, the food you eat and little about your gear and the bikes you ride. Keep up the good work!
I love this ride on a bike! many, many years ago we took the tour to the bottom of the dam and it was AWESOME! Your hair will stand up on end because of the static electricity! That tour was so worth it!!! 15:17
Wicked awesome tips about the Hoover Dam! Thanks! And, thanks for the heads up about the less than smooth roadway. However, with most excellent tacos as the reward at the end, I'm sure it was a well spent day in the saddle! Thanks for taking us along!
Yay, you're in my area! I enjoy the 93. Some of the highways here can be a bit rough, but the views are unmatched. Glad you're enjoying yourself and got some tacos!
My father and I did the round trip from Phoenix to Vegas and back to Phoenix back in 2003 (by automobile). Stopped at Hoover, also. Great little trip and I definitely didn't think it was boring. Thanks for taking us along, Staci! Cheers!
The last time i was at the Hoover Dam, the bypass bridge hadn't been built yet. Still a few years after 9/11, it was the only way from phoenix to vegas and it was ROUGH. Such long wait times as cars were searched crossing the bridge. Esp on the weekends. I was so fed up by the wait, and the search, that i didnt care to stay. This looks so much more relaxing. Thanks for bringing us along, bucket list to ride there!
Did that ride almost a year ago. From the dam to Seligman, then on to Winslow, and then down to Phoenix. It was COLD and saw a lot of snow. Great riding though.
What a great ride! I've never been to Vegas on the bike, but I love going there. I appreciate you taking us with you. Those tacos looked amazing! Very well done...
Thank you Ty!!! the greater vegas area has some great riding. of course it's enjoyment will depend on the time of year you end up going (july...prob not the best month haha!). February wasn't too shabby other than the rare and historic storm systems that moved in with perfect timing lol
I told you 93 was rough!! We did it in an SUV and it was terrible!! The wife and I definitely loved the beautiful scenery out west last December but we did miss the trees back here in Va. If you have time, I'd definitely recommend the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, if you haven't done it. And the extended tour of the Hoover Dam is well worth the few extra dollars.
OMG those looked so good and the best part is I'm literally heading to Phoenix tonight!! Not for the tacos but while I'm there I know where I'm eating now!! You're awesome sauce Staci. 🙌🙌
I've made that trek a few times and the worst part is when the road shuts down. Happened a couple times to me where they close it down due to a fatality. Depending where it happens, you may have to detour to Prescott or WAY out of your way to get around. Plus you gotta grab a Chicago Dog in Wikieup!
Hoover Dam, another "must see!" for me. Hope I can get tour tickets on site. Planning to head down to Daytona in less then 2 weeks, stick around for Bike Week, spend some time on the Florida Adventure Trail then will head West towards Nevada. Only got to spend a couple days last October and I can see, I missed a lot of stuff! Will hopefully be able to spend more time riding around Nevada. Thanks for the great video.
Another excellent video! I haven’t been back to the dam since the bridge was built, so of course it’s on my list of places to revisit! It is always distressing to see how low the water level is now! Very worrying!😢 Awesome tacos 🌮 🎉!
Great video, really diggin your content. good info on the places, attractions, people and food on your journeys. doesn't hurt that your easy on the eyes either.
The 93 is brutal when it's hot. There can be brutal headwinds too. During the rally in Bullhead City the Kingman HD is a popular stop with entertainment and food trucks. Now I have to try The Taco Spot. Try Republica Empanada in downtown Mesa.
I always love watching your videos, you make it so interesting to watch. I have lived a Harley Davidson lifestyle for so many years but I have to say seeing the old Ford pick up pulling the trailer with the old VW bus on it was cool and I was hoping you were going to walk over and take a look at them. Like most Harley people I’m in the classic vehicles also.
that French toast in the beginning looked so damn good I am going to make some now....and the taco spot, looked really good. you must have a special food camera, all the stuff you eat looks like its the best in the world......I bet you can make a Big Mac look like a gourmet black Angus t bone steak prepared by gordon Ramsey.....lol. the way you do your videos, and the way you give history, your like a freaking historian....haha...good job
I take that route every year (for the last 3 years) from Henderson NV to Phoenix for Arizona Bike Week. Those trips I had a Kawasaki Vaquero, traded that in for a 23 FXST. I'll see what the difference is when I go again in April. 🙂
I did the round trip From Phoenix to Vegas last year, I have to agree with you on the condition of the roads! 2 out of 10 is being nice. There are stretches of highway that are the worst condition I have ridden on. But, the desert scenery is beautiful and it would be an incredible ride if the roads didn't suck so bad!
Good views of the Hoover Dam. Though the Dam was built years before, I have a suspicion that Las Vegas wouldn't exist if the Hoover Dam didn't exist. Excellent Cool😎
I drove 93 for the first time in Dec 2022. People were flying doing average speed between 80 - 100. It was crazy. Scenery was awesome though, just try not to get run over. Visit Hoover Dam if you are ever in the area. Worth the stop.
IF I am not wrong Transformers movie was played in Hoover Dam. Wonderful place! You have been made nice vídeos, keeping making! USA has many many great places and incredible roads! Congratulations!
I drove from NH to El Paso by car when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss almost 40yrs ago, mainly ride in northern New England on the bike, NH & ME. Finally got my MC Lic over 18yrs ago, bought my first bagger 2yrs ago, been mostly riding a 79' KZ1000 ST since I got my License, my 1st & 3rd bike. Live in NH near the coast and I've ridden all over the state, haven't been out there since the Army.
Thank for sharing such a great trip , you do such great job making me want to jump on my bike a take long trip , so a question for you , why block out your speed dial ? Thanks again keep sharing !
Thanks for the Taco Spot recommendation. I’ve lived here for many years and have never been to one. . Enjoy your visit Stacy . I’m curious what your favorite Harley dealer is in the Phoenix area? Mine is Buddy Stubbs . Will you be back for Bike Week? Probably can’t say which is okay .
@TheHuester44 Arrowhead for my '23 fat bob, but mostly because I don't like the Kingman Dealer and I also stay across from GOAZ for my Euro bike business.
I still can't get what makes ppl think/feel like it's fine to just throw out their trash wherever! Like, who or what made them that way? Then again, there's a lot of senseless things ppl do. As always, great vid. Thank u! Safe travels, Stac.
If reservations are needed just to visit Grand Canyon West / Skywalk, that must be something new? They do have lodging out there that probably needs a reservation.
@@ridetofood Thanks. I was there during the C word / reopening. Maybe they weren't jam-packed yet. I like to just wake up and go when it comes to 'local' rides.
I just rode 93 North from Wickenburg to Kingman. It was at night, wasn’t a fan of the road at night. Had to get get gas in while on 93 and it was 6.99! Thats crazyz kingman was almost 1/2 that. Seeing during the day may be worth it I guess…
Never, never get gas at one of those gas stations south of the Dam. Just get enough to get you to Kingman where gas is almost half the price. It is around $3.75 for premium. From Hoover to Kingman is less than 90 miles.
Great video, as always... I apologize if you have answered this question before, but I was wondering, what do you do with your camera after you get footage with you holding it behind you? Are you able to get in your saddlebag without stopping, or do you pull over after you get the footage that you want and put it in another location then? Godspeed

What do you think about the ride from Vegas to PHX? Anyone got a favorite food stop in Kingman they want to share?
If you don't stop at Mr. D'z in Kingman you're doing it wrong :)
Cracker Barrel in Menchie's ice cream

IMHO, the food in Kingman is like an Arizona road, it is rough but it will get you there.
Beautiful terrain and scenery the whole way. The film production was pretty top notch too!

I drove over the dam for 20 years before they built the bridge. That was the only way to get to Vegas unless you went through Laughlin and up 95.
A great drop again Staci !! I am fortunate to be old enough to have been able to cross the dam in a car with my parents in the late 70's. It is a must stop to visit if you are in the vicinity. I will definitely stop this year on my journeys south. Thanks for taking us along Staci !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
